Re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Ok then I'm ok with the perlite. Not sure what he meant about fan exactly tho, unless he meant an actual fan when I actually get it out n the grow room. Also I just lifted my lids and there's not any moisture on the lids just a little on the sides. It's been cooking since Feb 2. Should I add more water and turn?

Can you feel warmth on the back of your hand if you hold it over the soil? You could wet it a bit. Use warm water....75 degreeish.

anyone thats just now contemplating getting a kit or on the fence for a while, dont hesitate any longer. :circle-of-love:

The produce that is being grown with Docs kit is unsurpassable in quality, except maybe by itself.

Jamaicans have quantity and but the quality is rare and dispersed throughout the country.
I learned this trip that most of the genetics are of quick, short nature, due to stealth growing.
Now that laws are starting to change, they can start growing their ancestral sativas that have been missing for years.
They should enjoy seeds left of Golden Tiger (from ACE -"Golden Tiger currently contains 2 Thai strains (Koh Chang Thai and Hmong Thai), and 2 different Malawi parental plants: the old killer Malawi and a 3rd generation Malawi male (brother of New Malawi killer)."

Purple Malawi x Colombian Gold
"Purple Haze was pollinated by the killer Malawi. The powerful african genes adds a new dimension to the super sativa Haze concept, creating one of our most interesting 'sativa haze' hybrids."

Doc's Rocks!! ;)

I don't, I'll add water, how much do you think. I have it evenly spread over 4 containers

You know how you can usually just brush moist soil off your hand after you've plunged it deep into the bin? It won't leave much behind - maybe some crumbs stuck in your hairs. That's my measure. That's not moist enough. :cheesygrinsmiley: I want to see a little greasy grime left behind on my skin.

Like Doc said, don't get stuck in the details. For cooking, wetter is a little better, but there's no perfect.

I gotcha, my souls is way dry then. Time to add water.

Oh oh oh, I just added water, each bin took about a gal ea. Now that I've had to turn the soil, do I have to start the cooking process as if it's on day 1?

What was the soil like there Ziggy? Looks somewhat volcanic to me. How was the local veggie produce?

This is one of my favorite ways to start a week. Happy Sunday everyone, and thank you Graytail. For a long time I was keeping mine too dry.

Hey Doc, the local fruit and veggies are very tasty , especially the Papaya's, picked , ripe off the tree, not green and shipped half way around the world , then sits on our window sils for another week. The native soil varies and they like to use local guano in their gardens.
Ziggs sat for many hours...:) talking 'produce' and stuff with many different locals...Ziggs knows how to comm.....very good...:rofl: As he said, there is an enormous amount of weed moving around the island but i would estimate only 5-10% of it is worth a try....just my op. It all looks , smells and feels very,...well...generic , is the word. Ya know how are stuff all looks very different and individual....well there's doesn't. That being said though, i would love to run a couple pounds of there 'bush weed' thru my hash bags, that would be special...seen it done,..very reddish terps. from the intense Jamaican sun!:) Lots of great times ...great memories of the group . Cheers Doc and gang!:circle-of-love:

I'd with all the weed moving around in Cali...only 5 to 10% is worth a try. So that's cool.

I think the elite stuff is still there, if you find the right place to look. Strange to have the best weed in Jamaica because you brought it from Canada....

Hey Doc. I'm planning on growing some seeds that I got in Jamaica. they swear that it's the real Lambsbread, although I have my doubts. Do you think I will have to OG drench or wayahead since this should be a landrace strain? just wondering what your thoughts were. BTW, your lemon Paki and Tangi shut up every guy there that was trying to sell me weed. they almost got mad. some told me I wasn't supposed to bring my own with me like that. thanks for the quality bud my friend. made the week a LOT better.
Cheers Doc

Nothing makes me happier than to have made someone happy with my produce. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I regret not being able to make it there myself.

For Lambsbread, I would grow it by the book, first run soil. 11:30 on 12:30 off. Keep the drenches on the lower side. It should take to the soil in a fantastic way....but only experience will tell.

Ya eh....that's the honest truth Doc...believe it, the nicest weed smoked all week was the LP, Tangie, Green Crack, and Panama from Ziggs. Your also right about good stuff being there but is definitely not prevalent around the island. When i let a few locals try my DBHBB MK Ultra two years ago , they were blown away then too,...and that was all i puffed while there then, just gave up dedicating so much valuable vacation time trying to find decent smoke. Cheers.

Wondering if anyone knows of a good place to order a decent priced grow tent would like to get the whole setup in one but would order separate if it's cheaper. Also don't need anything huge just a beginner setup 4-8 pots maybe as I said cheap and not to big
Thanks
