Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I'd top them and leave only two nodes beneath the topping. It will take a few weeks for them to grow back, but if the temps are good they'll get there and you'll be able to bloom a healthy plant.
Ugh, OK will do. I'll do that in the morning. Just so I'm clear, what is included in the rescue drench? Should I let them dry out before dunking em?

Thanks again Doc,

Thanks Ohio, I wish that was the case. The other two have more roots than this one and they are doing fine. Over watering sounds feasible as I've been dunking them every time, at the same time. Been watering from the top and will wait for that one to get really dry before watering again.

Start weighing your pots....I swear by it. It has really helped me dial in to the watering needs of my plants.

Weigh a dry pot with soil for a baseline, then after watering weigh them and monitor them daily until they get near the dry weight, then soak.

From the directions:

If the plants seem weak and need a boost---almost never happens unless you made a mistake or there has been some environmental issue or circumstances beyond your control---try this:

1 oz. Transplant per gallon of water with 6 mils of Tea. Feed a solution with this composition to all the plants. It will re-colonize the roots and get things back on track. Do not do this if you aren't having any problems.

Get some insulation between the containers and the slab for sure. Oh, and make sure you've got healthy tissue left behind when you top. Try for 2 nodes, but 3 or even 4 are OK is you can't find healthy leaves, etc. lower.

It's gonna be OK, don't be scared of the pruning.

But remember that the dry weight goes up as the plant gets bigger. I've gotten surprised more than a few times, thinking they still weighed quite a bit, but it was the plant, not the soil. The soil was dry, and they limped badly by the next day.

That just caught me. Checked pots on Fri morning and weight of pots felt good. Left on Friday and came home 27hrs later to find a pretty wilted blue dream. Hussled up and made a nice tall drink for the girl and she was back to full perkiness in 10min. That damn pot fooled me! Back to refining my water weight skills.

Perfect thanks. I figured that was it after looking through the directions again. Appreciate the encouragement on the pruning. You can tell I was pretty freaked out

That's good information.

Ok Doc,

This is where I'm at. Just finished dunking all three and this is what they look like after the topping:

The rescue drench:

You'll see the one of the left got the main topped but I left the sides as I want sure I had enough foliage.

Hoping I can salvage this.

Be patient and look to the new growth! I predict you'll be pleasantly surprised in a few days. I am surprised they needed water so fast.....you sure you waited till they dried out?

Let them go as long as possible after the Rescue Drench and then use water with 1/4 strength Transplant and a splash of Tea.....then Growth Energy.....and you should be pushing out healthy branches and leaves.

Hey Walleye, welcome to the forum! Lots of Michiganders lurking about here, yours truly included,

You've got to believe that after paying $100k or so for the lisence, insurance, start up costs, etc., that the 1500 plant growers WILL spray WHATEVER is necessary to get the crop to market.

I just hope the legislature doesnt kill home grows for the current medical patients/caregivers...

hey mike. just finally got caught up reading q&a and in the lab posts, and shiggitys' journals .I feel strong and at peace now except the PM issue. kit's on the way. Michigan left caregivers alone except instead of 2 oz per patient it is an amount considered enough not to run out for patients. If they new my patients that means ALOT per patient !! thats good if not a bit vague. I wish I had read before oredering a kit as I think 6 - 10 gall air pots will take more than 1 kit. not sure.

Sierra Naturals (a sponsor here at 420 mag) has products too.

Natural Fungicides | Sierra Natural Science

they will send free samples- Free Sample Kits | Sierra Natural Science

you pay shipping..

Thanks for this great tip. I asked for fungicide and they shipped me a bunch of products and a sprayer too !! just shipping costs. Wife wont let me sulfur the basement (and gave me the talk !) so I,ll clean basement and sulfur tents only. winter grows never had a PM issue so I'll proceed with a grow soon. I hope to journal or will at least post a final feast or famine report.

you don't have to fill pots to top..

Thanks DrZiggy for that info, now I can purchase just the 10 gallon smart pots and leave all my 5 gallons in the barn!

Once your plant has grown some, you can bury the stem with more soil since you'll have more room in pots- a few inches once its grown, and this will reduce the stretching, size of plant height. Roots will grow from the stem and will fill the soil that you've added. :thumb:

Thieves Essential Oil: What it is and 40 ways to use Thieves Oil - Conscious Health I dont sell this or anything. an interesting product I call the wifes snake oil. the oil vaporizer covers any odors and a liquid concentrate for mopping and wiping. we are told it kills fungi spores. 2 days vaporizing in basement and I notice air quality seems much better. Note the mention of spraying on plants for pests and such. I could see using this as cover scent during chop too. Might not do sh-t for PM but it sure smells good !

Hello fellow Michigander! I have only used 1 kit so far. I still have fresh soil in a bin, enough for 1 more 10gal, possibly more. At this point I have ran 4 1gals and 4 10gals. All smart pots. I would say running 6 10gals is close with 1 bale of pro-mix. I will start cooking more soil in Nov for my Jan run.
