Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Holy Shit what a thread!! Sorry. I've been obsessing over your methods for some time now Doc, and I would like to thank you for converting this hard headed hydro hooligan. It took too long but finally ive grown the balls to make the jump and experience another dimension of this thing we all love so much. Just wanted to know how I could obtain one of your kits for myself. Thanks again for all of the hours of knowledge you continue to provide.

Good choice

Ya well, i gotcha , first post....hey there China, wanna throw you a big warm welcome to the Mag! You say you';ve been hangin around a while, doing some reading about the Kit and our method! I got news for ya ..."you have been assimilated" ...you will now learn from our "Brix" gang just how to use the Kit. It's easy, peasy China...you just won the lotto brotha! You will find all the growers here to be a special group with a staggering amount of growing experience and a willingness to help others. We are all very proud of our group around these parts and welcome you aboard. We only ask a couple lil things ....please leave your ego at the door and enter our journals with a smile and good attitude ...do these things and ya won't wanna leave. Doc Bud , as you are aware, is constantly working on new tweaks and things to improve an already very reliable grow method. Most of the growers around these parts of the mag use his "kit" with a tremendous amount of repeated success, producing crop after crop of "weapons grade" cannabis! glad to see you found the lite and decided to drop the water methods for this way....i can guarantee...you won't look back now....cheers to ya China , and welcome to our group!:welcome::high-five::cheer:

Well, there's Bloomit.....it stimulates reproduction in a big way. I don't find it very useful with our favorite plants.

I've used it :thumb:..it is potent stuff..some of my out door plant are soon ready for a CD. I will use a dilute spray of Bloomit. Should I add
some WA10X too?
:thanks:

Thanks for the warm welcome duggan. Man, let me tell u am I glad to have found such a passionate resourceful community. I am looking forward to building along with all the rest of you amazing people.

While you wait for your Kit from Doc , it might be a good idea to pick up the other supplies you will need. 20 - 40 pounds of EWCings, with NPK numbers of 1-0-0 or 1-1-0. The "K' should be extremely low or non existent in them OK. Next you need a 3.8 cu. ft. bag of Pro Mix HP (high porosity),. and lastly a good water source....and all the other GR supplies too! Cheers on ya China!:high-five:

And besides all that, the shit grows killer cannabis

Yea "weapons grade", as duggan put it!!
Getting all the supplies ASAP.
Glad you mentioned water though duggan, you think filtered tap water thats been sitting out for 48 or so hours is sufficient or you reccomend something like ro water??

I tried to make it work with city water at about 300 ppm and it eventually drove the pH too high with all the Cal and Mag. If your city water is 80ppm or less, you'll be fine - just get a charcoal prefilter for any chloromines. You can get ones for garden hoses for 30-40 bucks on the am'zon. Biota don't like chlorine. Chlorine will outgas in the open air, but chloromine is meant to linger - you have to filter it out or neutralize it with an additive.

110 is close enough - but the 9 pH makes me a little nervous ... :hmmmm:

I did fine through my first run, but my soil started to turn during the second run. I ended up biting the bullet and going R/O. Now my city water runs 400 ppm, so that was a good idea.

Used to have an r/o set up at my old place. I'm thinking it might be the right move

Hey Chinaloa, I've just started the kit after my first grow in coco that was OK. In Doc's kit I'm having a much better time. No meters (I did use one to test the water from my tap as we just recently moved). 3 out of 4 seeds popped. 2 Aurora Indica and. Nirvana freebie. Overall the hardest thing was mixing the soil and waiting on the cook which honestly I enjoyed.

I haven't started a journal yet but the one in the middle is doing really well as it popped first. I did have a question for the homies. When do you start foliar feeding? Right now I've been giving light watering with transplant.

Morning Born...ya with your lil ones there...don'y give anything from the "kit" yet. plain water is all those require OK. The foliars are for much later , when the plants are much bigger....water only when pots are dry too,..this will encourage better and fuller root development. Just give them water for now....be patient with Doc's gear..it will all come into play a little later OK...cheers and have an awesome day Born!

Yes ,China , as Gray said you may run into trouble with tap water. I would go with RO...less worries and messin around that way. Cheers bud! I have been using bottled distilled for about 4 years now and it takes all the guess work and worrying out of it , so I can concentrate on the Kit and not have to worry about all the crap in the tap water or PH or any of the common problems with tap water. Have a great day China.
