Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Thanks Doc. I do remember you posting this before thats why I have been very cautious about adding any Epsom salts. I was adding about 2 tsp per plant- just not enough.

I remember you talking about langebenite, was that just for your OG-low brix?

When I added Epsom salts on the last grow it didnt do that much, maybe it was because I had not added enough. My one thought about the rust spots, is that it might be a Sulfur def. Although the Epsom would help in that, it is also adding in Mag. What about adding elemental Sulfur?

sulfur is going to come from the Cat drench....loaded with it. The epsom salt will do the trick!

The k-mag (langbenite) is indeed what I used to wreck the soil for the OG's! I used at a few cycles ago on some Lemon Paki's and it ruined them. I am very, very leery of using it again, except on known hydro strains.

You have a picture of the tool. I was thinking i would use this wheat grass juicer but not sure If I can take that much leaf matter off every week. Vise grips might work. trying to figure it out today
I was watching some video about high brix and this guy would put leaves in what looks like a garlic clove masher device. A "gullott" I think was what he called it. It was perfect actually. Had a round cavity where you put the leaves and mash it down and juices come through the strainer holes in the bottom. The action and device somewhat similar to a nut cracker. The sheet metal vice grips graytail was mentioning sounds like it would work well too. But yea shotta I was gonna ask about the refractometers too and which ones worked best for the money. Cheap is good lol.

Peace,

Any2

P.S. I saw the pay pal note Doc on the 72 raise!!!! Funny thing is that when I get em I ALWAYS bring it in for a raise just because it is fun. It cost me a rack tho last Saturday on a T72 rainbow flop when donkey boy thought his TPTK was the nuts. Who the f... gets it in there for 165 bigs after my 5 bet all in????? on the flop!!!! Thought for sure he had a set or T7 when he snap called!!!! LMAO!!!
BINK T on the turn. Nice hand sir.

I took some shots of the nearly completed veg room. Insulation and sealing is accomplished. Electrical and plumbing next. I'll have a nice little nursery area here and use the current veg/tasting/ladder storage room for another 4k flower room.

I've got a helper who is going to manage his own grow in that room. He's been helping me over the last year and has pretty much done everything I do at least once or twice, except trimming. He's done a lot of trimming. Cloning too.

Anyways, it will be his first grow and I'll see if it can't be documented here. First ever grow, High Brix.....should be fun.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Everyone wants in doc can you keep up? Haha.

Your helper is a lucky guy. Learning from the best. I am very happy with my girls so far and they are not skipping a beat.

haha.....I've got an appointment with my graphics person next week. I'll have some spartan, no-nonsense labels on the containers soon. And then I'm moving shipping/receiving into an empty bedroom at home and wifey will fully take over operations.

As for the "helper," I couldn't have kept up without him and one or two others. It's amazing what you can get done in a team of two or three in a coordinated effort. I can prune, the other guy can strip for clones, and the 3rd guy dips 'em and puts em in the plugs.

A one hour job for me now takes 10 minutes. Same with transplanting.

Trimming is a breeze! The 3 of us can cut down a plant, wash it and hang it in under half an hour.....final trim goes at about an ounce every 20 minutes.

Problem is, when this kid learns everything and gets good at it, he'll leave! (maybe not....he does have a very nice room to work in.)

I am excited to see these labels you come up with. You have made this kit a joy to work with for so many. If your operation ever gets to the point of needing extra helpers I will relocate. Me and the wife both are looking at moving since we are not comfortable with the schooling here. We both feel that the cc is a better environment to raise our little one or ones by that time. Working on my second bun.

Thanks again for everything doc.

Hi doc, do you know if anyone has tried your wash on a hydro grow and did it improve the taste. Gonna harvest some thai tonight and thought about your wash treatment.

Things look good in the garden!

C99 and Lemon Paki.

I'm feeding 1/4 oz Transplant with each and every watering/feeding. Testing out an idea and it seems to be working. Resin production is at an all time high, as are terpene formations. I'm getting smells I've never smelled before and potency I've dreamed of.....seriously good time right now! Brix gang....give this idea a try!

Oh my. I am loving the idea of the 1/4 oz transplant with every feed. I am going to watch you guys do it before I get crazy. I just want to bring these ones home first. Then I plan on getting a little more serious.

Great photos doc. looking world class.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

very nice doc, ive only have a couple of strains look as frosty as that, the ak47 x uk cherry cheese looks pretty similar frosty wise but i cant find anything out about the strain at all, it was a sample strain i was sent a few years back from a seed bank, but dont even know if it was released under a new name or if it was never released, the seed bank says they get lots of samples that they ask for feed back on so would try and find out, but they never got back to me, but thats about the most frosty strain ive had, id go as far as saying the most potent as well with huge buds,

ive not had anything else as frosty as that or as frosty as yours, maybe the sensi star came close. the trichomes on your plants look really big as well, mine was frosty like your but never had trichomes as big as that, so your method seems to work very well indeed, id have to try and buy the products to grow high brix if i was going to try it, but your restults suggest its worth a shot, id be very happy if all my plants turned out as frosty as that,

well done doc, you got some amazing looking plants, id be chuffed to bits to grow as consistant as your plants, im pretty sure every plant you have grown has had huge trichs and covered in trichs,

Thanks Don P.

All the plants I grow are usually very frosty....but I do have to cull laggards from time to time. Not too often, but if I have a strain that doesn't perform I don't run it anymore. I try to grow spectacular weed, if at all possible.
