Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Any way I can get just grow energy? I ran out somehow and I don't really know what to do lol.

You can get any of the kit items in bulk = 1 quart for G.E.

Brix is a sign of health. Higher brix=better health. Brix over 12 means no pests and no spraying for pests.

Saying you want more buds but aren't concerned about higher quality is what you're saying, even though you probably don't realize it.

As of right now, there is still a market for big, red, tasteless apples. The government buys them for schools, prisons and the military. But you would never choose one of those chalky apples if you've tasted a really nice high brix apple.

Same with carrots.

Prohibition has created some really bizarre practices for growers. Yield becomes the most important fact, because even low grade cannabis can be sold for profit. The higher the yield per plant, the more money you make. I get that.

We saw this during prohibition with alcohol. Many folks were distilling their own booze at home or in the barn or woods. It definitely got people drunk. Many people made fortunes on illegal booze but the quality would not be tolerated today.

When pot prohibition is lifted, hydroponics won't be very popular, and what we consider decent weed today won't be served anywhere. I'm planning on making my living as a legal grower of ultra high quality cannabis. I don't care about plant yield, although mine is quite good. I demand quality, and so will everybody in the near future.

Just started reading and had to comment on this ..quality of quantity any day !! Amen to that doc .

Thanks Doc.

All your effort and input is very much appreciated.
Would never have guessed that older Yellowed leaves
would give a higher Brix, that fact alone I am sure would
have been a point of confusion for me at some point, Lesson
learned time saved :thumb:

Think of the reading as a percentage of "brix" present in leaf juice. A dry leaf has less juice.....just like a raisin does.

Tests must be done on healthy tissue.

email me next week. I'm in South America.

Smoked joints on the beach before and after dinner last night. Toured another grow, might go to a club today, but I'm getting BBQ lessons all afternoon, so we'll be tokin', stoking the fire, and eating all afternoon. I'm honestly scheming how I don't have to come back to the US.....but don't worry, I will. At least this time.

If it's moist , leave it alone....it's working, .No need to mess with it , thank you mason. Mixed up a batch of first run today in my basement....check it out everyone...simple , one hour job. Mixed up one "Kit's" worth of DBHBB soil , fast and easy , peesy! Have an awesome night everyone.:circle-of-love::circle-of-love:

Is there a "best" time to foliar spray? (day before a drench, day after a drench etc.)
I'm always in there at the crack of dawn when the birds are chirping the loudest but wondered if wet/dry soil mattered.

A best time? Maybe!!! I do think the timing of the sprays is something that needs to be examined and studied. I don't have any hard conclusions yet...but it seems to me that spraying about 2 days before a watering is a good practice.

You want the nutrition from the spray to find its way down to the roots....and if the container is wet the osmotic pressure isn't working in favor of this...although the plant manages just fine spraying the same days you water.

Try it out, pay attention, and see what you think.

The difference between good and great is usually nothing more than a bit of extra effort and attention.

Great advice. I've had both good results and great results in the kit and on the surface you'd think both runs were identical...but there were small differences that I'm trying to replicate this run.
