Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hey Boogs....lookin freekin nice brotha. The OG at four weeks in looks amazing. Little trick with those....start giving a little Mg. (epsoms) before they show , they want it. Just give a teaspoon / gal. a couple times in a row, then one without any, then one or two with it again. Just gives them enough, ya know, but not enough to mess up the soil or screw with the Cal/Mag. ratios. Doc suggested this to me a couple yrs. ago and whenever it warrants it , that's how i've been doing it. This one MK-Ultra i've got here will get that treatment about a week or two , past flip. I'm finding that with the larger pots some issues are just not there anymore....lots of soil, helps with a bunch of things. Anyhow , nuff said eh, cheers Boogs ....Have an awesome night Gang.:circle-of-love:

Thanks Duggan. I didn't know if any would need epsoms since its the first time with these strains, ill definitely do it a little different next run. Appreciate the help bud

doc/gang, what would you recommend me do about this yellowing? this plant will need at least another 25 days in flowering.

also, the plant to the left in the last pic has had that twisted leaf effect since the 3rd or 4th internodes came in. not really sure why, only plant to ever do that to me in hibrix. it's the strain opium incase anyone cares.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about that slight yellowing too much. For week 4 they look like they're hitting on all eight cylinders. Who knows, it might be one of those early-finishing phenotypes you find in OG's.

I've had some leaf-twist a couple times in high brix, but seems it's always one set of fans then corrected on the next set, and hasn't been otherwise noticeably detrimental in any way. It did it once on Blue Dream and once on a Laniakea, with the blue dream a little more pronounced...and it turned out prime.

Nice plants man.

On the last one, with the slight taco and yellow:

It's often normal for some strains to drop fan leaves week 4-5. It's also optimal to have that very slight mag issue as it is proof that photosynthesis and sugar production is at the peak and being limited by....mag. Epsoms and Super Drench for that one and it will go off like nothing else. Should be epic.

I've got similar issues here and there:

My "C" pheno, which smells like mango as it would smell in weedland, is nearly 5 feet tall with ZERO support. No staking...nothing. The "B" pheno, which is a heavy yielder is one inch below the light now, 5'4" tall and the whole plant also has no support except I did use a stake to bend the plant slightly for the sake of the canopy being even.

glorious...really.

On my first grow I found that the plants grew amazing branches that supported the weight just fine. I wasn't busting any yield records, but every branch would have easily supported twice it's weight with no problem.

Are you guys growing in a tent? They make those plant support yo yos that hang from the pole at the top of the tent and have ratcheting string with at hook to support buds. It's what in use and they work great. But in also known not everyone grows in a tent lol.

Pretty sure none of the High Brix gang needs those things. Our plants tend to stand up with thick, woody stems. Yes, I suppose that some might call that a double entendre....

BTW, I've got a couple of amazing new lights I'll be putting up soon. It should be the next level up for me.

Watch for a few more weeks and I'll show you buds that big that don't need yoyo...not that it means anything. Just a demo of what and 18/1 calcium/potassium soil does to stems.
Oh excellent my man! Of course I'll be watching sir. I'm stoked to see em Doc. And this is a superb thread btw. Highly informative
