Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

So, after growing it for months, harvesting, washing, and slightly curing I'm no longer a virgin from actually smoking DBHBB grown.

Holy shit. I'll get this one tested. I'm about to go on a love rant, some man love, so for those of you who know this already, please forgive me. :circle-of-love:

So, after getting my brain into the methods Doc uses, the drenches, the foilars, all that. I noticed early on Doc's plants were on auto pilot. Easy, really. Hit them all with an OG drench, none missed a beat. Saw, some awesome growth, harvested great plants, perhaps a bit early.

Have to remember I was running,, five nute lines this summer and doc's was my last so I had some adjusting to do mentally. Not that big, but enough to where I made a few mistakes early on, missed some foilars.

Today, I went for my daily run and decided after breakfast I'd try a CBD OG grown in the kit. I had a buddy over a few days ago when it was still in the bag and he was impressed with the smell. They went from my brown bags to the jar a few days ago. Sweating them, been almost three weeks since harvest.

I like to use my pipe for new strains, get a feel for the taste before I moved to a water bong.

Did that a little while ago, and I'm just,, feeling great. By far it's the smoothest shit I've ever smoked, never mind grown.

Was I supposed to flush or something, I can't imagine it being any smoother. :welldone:

Doc, I've got four more strains on your kit curing, I might not share this. Or, when I do,, shiiiiiit, they will know.

You may have ruined my bidness :thanks:

I'm seriously amazed at how great this strain tasted and can't wait for the next....

Thanks again, Doc!!

Customer and follower for life, I am!

:Namaste:

uh oh...it only gets worse!!

Congratulations MassMedMan! :bravo: :allgood:

Happy microbes = happy plants = happy patients = happy growers! :thumb:

If you have a (fabric) pot that is slightly bigger than the pot(s) you want to drench, just throw a trash bag into it and then use it for drenching from the bottom. The bag stops it from leaking and if the pots are about the same size, there is almost no wasted water or nutrients.

I used this method for my outdoor guerrilla fabric pot.

It got to big for the flower room and was barely showing hairs when the rest of the pants were done.
It went outdoor to a place I was only able to get to 1x a week.

I think the trash bag helped her to survive.

Shes showing hairs and forming buds like a 4 week flip would and she has been outdoor since June!
When will this sativa ever end?

Now, we've gone and done it again...another one gone!:blunt:  MMM, welcome my brotha :cheer:
You are smoking the smoothest grown cannabis that's possible....you hit it perfectly. Even when i've got a cold or feel crappy, DBHBB produce...as they say, does not , i repeat does not make me cough....from J's. I smoke pretty much 1/2 J, two or three times throughout the night and it always taste's so smooth, sometimes just a couple good puffs, is all. Anyhow MMM , tbh, i thought you were all ready in ...the "gang" that is , so i take extra pleasure in welcoming you .
Good to see so many new people around eh Doc! Gotta get some of that new spray ya got ....Waz up with that....how come i don't have any? ;) Gonna have to email you about some of that ,plus some of the OG Drench....gonna do an MK-Ultra ,again next round and would like to try it . Anyhow , everyone have an awesome night! Cheers.:circle-of-love:

My mother in law is visiting and she just had back surgery recently so she smoked some hurkle with me the other night. The first thing she commented on was how smooth it was and she couldn't believe she didn't cough :thumb: It helped her back pain too of course :)

The weed I ever smoked that was better than high brix was my cousin's friend's uncle's weed. He grew on the side of a volcano in Indonesia, or something like that. I'm not even sure if I didn't just make that up.

Welcome! All of us informally welcome you to the Club of Snobs and picky weed nymphs! (hopefully the latter is the case)

The induction ceremony is done via the honor system:

1. roll a large, fat joint with the smallest, least dense buds from the harvest
2. Give a friend one of the nicest buds buds from the harvest
3. Smoke the joint, either by yourself or with your friends.

When you're blown away from the joint AND your friend is blown away by the bud, you are automatically, permanently enrolled as a "loosely associated" member of the club! Note: there is no other type of membership. Loose Association is the pinnacle.

Fookinay...I'm in and didn't even know it. Best kinda club...

Quick question for anyone here. Thoroughly cooked, unused DBHB soil. Took some trimmings, placed on top of soil in container, sprinkled roots, closed it up. Come back, have some nice fuzz going but I also found a few tiny clear worms. Pulled one out for inspection under the 60x scope and it was just a clear worm with some yellow fluid in about half of it. Looks like it could be fungus gnat larvae but I can't be sure. Any cause for concern?

Yeah! There's some cause for concern. If you see larvae, you should also see some flyers. Are there any?

I put a mosquito dunk in the water tank once a year. If that's not an option for you, here's what I'd do:

1. Put a mosquito dunk into enough water to thoroughly re-wet the soil
2. take the lid off the can so the soil drys up a bit for a few days. If you see any flyers stretch a barrier across the top of the can, even if it's just an old sheet or towell.
3. Re-wet soil with the BT infused water.
4. Put lid back on and add 2 or 3 HotShot No Pest Strips to the top of the soil so the airspace between soil and lid becomes toxic for emerging nymphs....which means no eggs.

do this for about 2 weeks and you should be good to go. A watering or two with BT infused water will make sure there's no return.

Brother it's so small I can't get it to show. When I try to use the scope and the camera it doesn't come out. It looks like fungus gnat larvae but I am not able to see a black head on it.

That's the funny thing, not seeing any flyers at all. Had to search for the worms. Should I keep an eye on it before I hit them with the dunks to be sure?

They could very well be beneficials! I'd keep my eye on it. Brew up some mosquito dunk water just in case.

Will do brother. It's very very small. I will be checking daily and if I find gnats I will throw in some dunk water but I am optimistic that they are beneficial.

If there aren't any flyers, you probably don't have gnats. If the soil is first run, it's possible that something in the worm castings is multiplying, which could be a very good thing.....or not. The odds are in your favor if nothing is flying.

The soil is unrun/fully cooked with some trim and root ball from a plant that just went to flip. Never had any bug issues aside from bugs from the environment sliding in the tent once in a while. I proactively set out two big sticky pads from day 1 and have nothing to report. No flyers and I will be watching to daily. :Namaste:
