Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

my last few grows before the current HB grow were in reused amended supersoil.

and for 2 of those grows, I just pulled out the rootball, tossed in some nutes and minerals and repotted new plants. I had no problems at all. I guess that is on the line of LOS.

QUESTION is has anyone done this with the KIT yet?

and Doc, is it worth a shot if no one has tried it yet? Pros cons?

First time you had a kit the cooking process didn't happen. I sent you a new one.

Second time using the kit you tried out some autopots or something and the roots never developed.

Third kit was destroyed by the post office, so I sent another. (collected from USPS too)

So you're on your 4th kit.....how about just following directions this time and learning what it all does?

The leaves curl up like that because photosynthesis is so intense that the leaves just can't take it anymore, so they shy away from the light. In other words, the plant is blooming furiously and the limiting factors of soil and container size are starting to show themselves.

too much heat, too much light, coupled with a hyperactive soil biota and a plant that is being "pushed" by foliars will cause this.

Limiting factors begin to show up, namely Mag deficiency-like stuff.

It's a good sign in this context. epsoms will boost it and allow even more buds and resin.

My leaves started to curl a lot more and I have given them a little Epsom. Some of those leaves are starting to dry up and get crispy to the touch. Is that anything to worry about?

Dry and crispy doesn't sound good. Pictures might help.

Got the package, Thxs Doc.

One question....

Can I use that leaf spray and the whole routine/instruction given on all my mmj plants?

Or, just your kit?

I think you said it's good for all but wanted to double check.

Thank you!!

OOOH, second question

That new destress,, does it make any sense to use that instead of the older version. Or, use the old according to those instructions and then use the other according to new instructions... I have a half a container at least of the old stuff from my first kit....

:Namaste:

You got the "old" Destress in the last shipment.

That spraying regimen could be used to treat PM and/or mites with any plants, but especially with High Brix soil. It will turbo charge growth and health. You'll see. Be very careful to get the ratio's spot on.

Thank you Doc. You'd be proud of me. Lol. I was going to up can my three remaining kit plants into 7s. They are in1.7s. But, recently you made a comment to someone that didn't have great roots,, to dust with roots and keep in same container. I think my roots were ok,, I'm a stingy waterer these days. Anyway. I did what you said, and now I'll leave them in those 1.7s for another week.....

I just got 2 sets of solo cups for my next round, clear inside blue, so u can just slide the inner cup out to see root development. Forget where I saw it but always thought it would be cool. And it will be!

Good idea, like that I'll try. Although, had to yank to dust and I like to see what's going on. Lots of fibrous roots,, thick mass for the fact that they're clones. That is one thing I didn't take into consideration when I upcanned the first two. Live and learn ;)

Thanks for that tip though, interesting I bet!

That is a freaking great idea.....hey bk, are you letting your seedlings in the solos dry out and then water like the "wet/dry" cycles in veg or do you wait till you put them in 1 gallons?

Really anyone's insight is welcome......:passitleft:

how dry do you let your plants get in flowering, guys?

Early on, in the first two weeks of bloom, I let the pots get about 2/3 of the way "dry" when compared to veg. After that, I keep them slightly moist....not wet.

Wet/Dry is the way to go to build roots, strong stems, short internodes and a high calyx to leaf ratio. Period.

Most excellent idea! :thumb:
I wish you'd posted this a couple of days ago. Actually, I wish I'd thought of it on my own.
I bought Solos a few days ago and put cuttings into them yesterday.
