Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Magic Butter Machine for the win :high-five: I was thinking the same thing, I have one GSC in a 2gl pot still, it's either going to be a glycerin extract or hash not sure what just yet.

I'm wanting to make something that will work in the new vape pen I recently acquired. The Magic Butter machine is more for food products I think.....but I'll check it out. I might not have paid as much attention to the oil aspects of the machine when I was reviewing it.

From what I saw it makes cooking oils vs vape oils.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I just ordered your high brix kit but ordered a bale of pro mix hp first at wholesale hydro because they have free shipping, well they charged my account sent me a email saying order processed then sent me a email saying they were refunding me because they are out of soil. Every other place wants like 45 dollars for shipping which is ridiculous, I found a place near where I live which I believe is the only place around me with pro mix they have pro mix bx myco, and pro mix hp plus myco but the hp plus has biofungicide in it does it have to be promix hp exactly or can I get one of the two I mentioned. Thanks talk to you later

I'm so glad you asked this!

Do NOT get the one with fungicide in it! BX myco will work just fine, especially if you add perlite.

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Ok so bx and perlite will work just as good as hp? Can I add anything else EWC, azomite, alpaca manure, I usually add those to whichever soil I buy especially the Ewc and azomite, but anything you recommend ill do, and can I get your exact feeding schedule? Along with anything else you may use?

If you find/figure out a recipe for that please let me know, I to am interested in making such an oil.

Amazing pics Doc! I am loving your pic updates. 3rd and 4th pics down from the top are a couple plants that look to be a 3 to 4 weeks into bloom. (Probably 3) Have they gotten the cationic drench yet? Or how close are they to getting it. I am trying to get better at eyeballing when to add the drench. I am coming up on adding it for the first time.

Please do not add ANYTHING to the soil, except what comes in the kit.

You'll be adding tons of rocks, so no need for azomite. There is plenty of organic fertilizer as well as fishy ferts to be used throughout the grow....so no manure. Please do not add anything!

ProMix HP Myco
20 lbs of organic worm castings
Amendment that comes with kit

That's it.

They got the cationic drench at the same time I took their pictures. Good eye on that!

That's about right....maybe a few days earlier. It makes the buds lumpy, bumpy, sticky and thick.

Hey Doc quick question about Azomite, can it be added to water for a top dress? I have my girl in 3 gallon pot but in 2/3 weeks its going to a 5 gallon. Is it even worth trying to top dress since the 5 gallon will have it mixed in the soil? Sorry this isn't high brix but your the best person to ask.

Nice! I am excited to see the results. I am really looking forward to seeing that Columbian bulk up like the champagne. Pretty awesome Doc! I tried a little laughing buddah last night. Wow. 4 hits and I was the highest I have ever been. You were right, high brix weed is unlike anything else. I have another 10 week sativa in flower now that should be interesting. I love those longer flowering sativas!

Are you in organic soil?

If so, adding the 6-5-3 is the way to go. If you've already added it to the next round of soil, you probably don't need to add more.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just wait till that weed cures and some decarboxylation occurs. Seriously, if there's any left in 2 months, you'll be amazed.

I hope the colombian hangs in there. It's a monster...totally invasive and out of control. I am proud that I didn't use any hormones to keep it short....just supercropping and LST.

Regarding High Brix Sativa's.....you're in for a rare treat! The more pure the genetics, the better the plants respond to this style of growing....same deal with heirloom tomatoes.

Don't be afraid to harvest some early, then let the rest mature a bit. You'll never get amber triches....

The energy and power in an early harvested Sativa is fantastic! Combine it with the later harvested stuff, or even another strain and you've got a high that changes the game, IMO.

Short of oils, I don't know what more can be done.

I was thinking of getting away from the indicas for a bit, any recommendations for crazy sativas Doc? I guess I will know a little more when I flower a couple of my sativas out. For some reason, the more sativa it is, the better it responds to the kit. At least in my garden. Not that the Kush's arent nice, they are very nice, but the sativas are insane. (At least thats my experience).

Generally speaking, Sativa's are more "pure" in the genetic sense. I've got two landrace growing in the same tray right now, which is really unusual.

They're the equivalent of an heirloom tomato.

The quality of the high is something that just needs to be experienced, IMO.

Pics of just about everything.

The lackluster looking things are the C99. Colombian is obvious.....others are Champagne, Lemon Paki, Tahoe OG and GSC.
