Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

First of all, it's not anything you did wrong, as your other plants are all looking pretty damn nice.

Sometimes I have a plant that does that and I often fix it like this:

1. mix up 1 oz Transplant per gallon of water with 10 ml Tea in the same gallon.
2. Top dress with EWC
3. Run 2 gallons of the Transplant/Tea mix very slowly into the pot....take 10 minutes to do this

It should clear up in 3 or 4 days. You'll be just fine.

It's really simple, 2.5 gallons every 2 days. I put 2qts down the top and the remainder into the saucer. I just add the little bit of drench I am going to use to that 2.5 gallons when needed. Basically every 3 times I water I drench on the 4th. On the 2nd watering I add a bit of transplant and some of the salty drench (on my current plant).

Yep. Top watered because we want to get the EWC into the mix. Did you do the recharge? You top watered that correct?

temps in mid 70's
bright light on seeds
don't cover them with a humidity dome or other stupid idea.
Germinate in soil, not a paper towel or some other goofy method.

I got 10 reg seeds(reeferman), soaking 2. Also soaking 2 huge mexican seeds. Got them in their native land last week. The Weed was not good, being an HB snob convert..not thats theres anything wrong it , - the seeds looked like mini coconuts, and since Magic is in Da Soil, im Also soaking 2 of my own, CS made autos(auto jock horror x auto pineapple express). All will be in Doc's HB Kit amended soil. :)

Hahah I need to toss in my two cents here. Please everyone don't do what i do as it directly contradicts what doc just said.

Until trying what doc says about seed germing, ive always used the paper towel method. Place in ziplock bag puffed up with air and put in a drawer. Somehow I only had 2 or 3 males out of the dozen beans I've popped.

Figured I should start doing things the natural way and germ in soil. 5 pack of cougar piss and I got 4 boys and a runt that up and died. Next I did some daydream haze and got 2 girls out of six beans.

Went back to paper towel for the huckleberry kush and got 3 girl.

Tried soil for some PanamaDC and kimbo kush and the soil was so alive the hyphae web ate a few seeds. Also launched some LA is burning. The ones that made it from that round were boys and have just been culled. But the replacement beans I popped to take their place I did in paper towel, and they are girls, almost ready to flower out now.


These are just my observations. And how strange they seem!
 
Well, anyone ever have their tent brackets break? The cheap weld at the corner gave way, lights and poles dropping 6 feet. Tent collapsed! Of course I just had cleaned tent and placed the seeds mentioned above, in HB soil inside tent. :sigh: good thing harvest was done last week.
Lights are 80% working. My grow is on hold a day or two-Need to go get new poles and brackets. Will soak new seeds fri for sat. :) im going to start a journal next week or so.

Ah crap bro that sucks sorry to hear. Can't salvage the seeds you started? I sold a cheap tent I had for that exact reason, seemed flimsy.
Bought a secret jardin pro. I'd even consider getting a gorilla grow tent but fak I'm getting tired of growing in tents LOL. Maybe a really big one would feel better to me. Been working a 3x3 and 4x4 for too long now.

Glad that didn't happen while there were some juicy gals in there ready to be taken down!

Doc, this is from Clackamas Coot and adds a little science to your advice about germination:

"At the very least once you get your arms around the germinating processes the old canard in the weed world of starting seeds wrapped in paper containing dioxin and a host of other chemicals and solvents will make little sense - if any. The enzymes created in a true soil, i.e. real-world humus, have a huge role in the development of the seed plant and some would say the role is critical."

There was some slight damage in shipping, but nothing that effects the performance of the lights. Yeah....these are 1200's....bright doesn't really begin to describe it. There are two of them covering a 3x6 tray. I'm going to up the Co2 and grow me some plants.

Yikes man. Glad it wasn't worse, but losing some willie and a smashed up tent sucks enough. Is your light toast?
