not only have I smoked it, but I still have seeds of her from the 70's.

unfortunately they were not stored properly and I can't get any to sprout. I have tried every method on line.

i still have about a dozen left, and every time I start seeds for a grow, I try a few more of these, and some of the others I have, Maui Wowi, Kona Gold, Thai stick and Oaxacan. Will 35 year old seeds sprout no luck with them yet

I've recently germinated few 16 year old O.G. Kush seeds, that I got from my SoCal friend, but only one plant survived. DNA was too mutated in the rest of them, so they didn't grow after breaking the ground. I used a normal method though, and it was fine.

I can advise freezing for few days and then germinating them or scuffing with pliers, or a nail cutter. The latter method worked for seeds with a very hard shell for me. They sprouted and grew fine.

Doc and gang!..... that MK Ultra of mine won the potm! I know alot of the "gang" voted for me ,so thanks to all who did!The thread turned out to be a head turner for a few members...i'm sure.Last night before bed i was behind by 5 votes and got used to the idea of not winning this time.Those of you who have been following the potm thread,know what went on. I had remarked to a few of "us" how i thought "they must be blind".Well you all were not blind....my competitor was cheating!I woke up this morning and didn't even check the mag until late this afternoon and was totally blown away by the results!Anyhow Doc bud's high brix "kit" won, not me....i just followed directions.Cheers all!;)

Doc, getting ready to harvest in a couple of weeks. You may recall I had a Scale infestation. Mostly gone now, but wondering if doing a bud wash with Hydrogen Peroxide in the first bucket would get any of the remaining Scale? If so, I'd appreciate the 'formula' for adding the H2O2 to the wash - searched for it, but couldn't find how much to use. Thanks.

I use 1 part H202 per 3 parts water. I use the "regular" strength peroxide, not the super strong stuff you can sometimes get at the hydro shop.

I don't know if it's necessary in your case, but it won't hurt and you'll be 100% certain youvel got no nasty stuff on your meds if you do it.

Doc, I was wondering how well does the kit when you 12/12 from seed. I´ve never tried the method and I know you have done it in past grows (dunno if you still at it though). Could you give me some tips about it? I know you top em (or used to) so they veg a bit longer. But I was wondering on the volume of the pots used and the regime(soil feed and transplant schedule).

I appreciate insight from anyone who knows this stuff on HB :D

plants are doing great,

recharge 2.5 wks, check
cat drench at 3.5, check
second drench at 4, check

plants seem to be loving the bottom watering. I split the cat drenches, half on top and half in the rez.

Only observation I have of note is the plants seem to have a lot thinner leaves than my other grows. Almost like they are straight sativas. I haven't grown 3 of them before, but it seems like what ever I grow has HUGE fans that never seem to want to die off and have to get defoled.

These thin fans have pretty much lived their usefulness and either fall off, or come off with an easy tug.

All the stems seem thinner also. They are usually like broom sticks.

They are healthy as can be, just look on the lanky side.

The repeat strain is the Vanilla Kush (all Indica) which were huge leaves last time and this time also appear sativa.

I don't remember this happening last brix grow.

My stuff seems to always start off with some nice fat finger's. But as they age into flower they always thin out and look like a sativa. It's fairly common. Not sure about the lanky though.
