Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Can we cut first run recycle 50/50 with fresh cooked first run? Maybe add some rocks - 1/4 of a kits amendments?

Probably wouldn't even need the extra amendment now that I think about it. 10lbs EWC instead.

If go get another fresh bale to cut this used soil with, but my office already has two bales in there in different stages, and I could probably spare 30 gallons of fresh first run if the second run mix would be done cooking in a month.

Kinda weird to skip the first run, but in the end it's almost better, don't need to buy another bale. Trying to think how two bales and two kits could be best used to maximize the magic. I've started in on half of my fresh mix to veg the next round, they'll go for at least a month, plenty time to cook the second run and be ready to use when this round of plants are ready to flower.

In light of new instructions, I can get sunshine #4 for quite a bit cheaper than promix around here..anything worth noting? I'd be much happier saving some money, if the results are identical. I'd use that to cut my recycle if so.

Sunshine is second best, but it will work.

Hi doc, quick question.....what would slow resin and bud growth? I'm approaching week 7 on pineapple skunk & casey jones and things seem to be slowing down. Been sticking to the instructions with the addition to 1/4 ounce of transplant with every water/ drench. Temps & humidity been good. Everybody looks happy.

Just relax! Some strains bring it on later than others. Also, things take a week or two longer in high brix sometimes, due to what we think is a tendency for Sativa traits to express themselves more than in other mediums.

If the plants are happy, and you've been pretty close with feedings you've got nothing to worry about. Keep 'em green and be patient!

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

LMAO Ok doc, i'll relax they do look really healthy. Can't wait till harvest time

Don't take them too early! If you usually harvest at 9 weeks, consider letting them go just a wee bit longer if they're still looking healthy and drinking water. The extra two weeks can really make a nice difference. You won't have much in the way of amber triches.

Hey Doc...quick question for ya. That one MK Ultra of mine is showing lots of rust spots yellowing and generally a stressed out look with lots of leaves not nice and green. The affected leaves are basically all over the plant. My question is ,is it too late in flowering to give them a spray of stress? They still have a good three weeks left ...or more. The other two are still green but beginning to show same signs of stress. This plant has been ahead of the other two for some time now(early pheno)? Got any ideas to keep em green for another few weeks? Other than that ,they are looking very ,very nice! Cheers. OH, they havn't had any "stress" for about two weeks now .

re: Doc Bud - High Brix Q&A With Pictures

can anyone help me? I am trying to purchase the true high brix kit I keep reading about...I don't see anything indicating where it can be purchased? new here, been reading and reading for hours , kinda frustrated at this point. also pretty confused with how it works, and what to do.

Hey Dube...ya ,it says to use "brix"right up to harvest but stop with stress sooner. It's pretty fishy stuff to be sprayin on these buds so close to harvest ?Watcha think ? Cheers

Duggan, ever heard of taking the buds after clipping off the bush, put under running cold water then hang to dry,
I not be making this up, makes for nicer buds, ask the rest of the gang here.

I've noticed similar tendencies with my OG's....all the fan leaves get nasty towards the end, but the buds stay very pretty. I think it might be partly the strain.

Anyways, to green them up hit 'em with Growth Energy. Every time.

Sounds like whats happening to mine. The flowers look great but all the leaves are getting rusty (3 weeks left too).
Doc, is there any validity to turning down the lights for the last two weeks to 8/16? I trust your judgement more than anything ive read.
Thanks boss :)

I think it might be ok to turn 'em down a half hour....but 4 hours sounds stressful. I've never done it bro....I really don't know what to say.
