Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I'm not sure Blazin,...you will have to ask Doc. I have been using that mixture for going on 6 yrs. Every single time ...i use 15mls/gal. of water....every Drench , no matter what Drench it is. Forget about the soil amount....just use that amount and water your plants until soaked...always using that mixture . Cheers man.

Well shit dnt get easier then tht hahaha. Thanx bro much appreciated what do u use for the tea amounts?

Here is a group shot of my hibrix girls minus my gorilla glue auto.

Well we can't argue with your success Duggan, always such amazing plants! I do want to mention that many DO measure drenches based on gallons of soil. I've even seen other vet brixxers say the exact opposite of what you just said and to forget how much water, to measure based on gallons of soil.

Not trying to stir the pot but I think this is very important especially with all the new brixxers around.

Yup...no probs Ween...other members can do wat suits them. I do wat works for me and my plants. Like i said..i always use 15mls. /gal of water......doesn't matter how many or how big the pots are man....just water with that mixture until your pots are soaked. Done deal!...one gallon...5 gallon...10 , 15 , 20 ...doesn't matter about the friggen soil.....you understand....just use that mixture for all pot sizes...see how easy....no messin with figuring out amount of soil in this pot ....or that pot....just water untill soaked with that mixture. Cheers.:high-five:

Unless you have 15 different plants, all different strains, at different maturities.

Then, measuring by soil gallon is easier.

So approximately how much water do you use for one 1 gallon pot?

In my 15s, I do 2ml of drench per gal of soil in 2 gallons of water so guess what, 15ml per gal of water, ha!

#1's are a little different though but pretty close.

Just want things to be clear for the new brixxers.

Blaze, since your dunking, I'd suggest using 2.5 to 3 gallons of water and 30ml of ge and 3ml of tea. Pretty close to what Duggan suggested. 1-2 gallons will not be enough, you will have a little excess but that's how we dunk. Brother Duggan does not dunk which as you've seen works well for him.

Ok i jus guessed and went with between 1/4 to 1/2 of a tsp of tea and then 30 ml like duggs suggested of growth ionic into 2 gallons of ro water now dunking.

Also i jus noticed my amnesia lemon is working on her 6th node now. So she is ready for her first drench but shudnt that be a trans drench not a growth? Jus wondering cause the big clones r on a growth drench now but i dnt wana give it 2 her if she needs a trans drench first.

Ok is that cause of a ratio thing with the nutes or sumthn cause the last time i did 3 gallons and had over a gallon left and all pots were saturated COMPLETELY. Like if i put jus alil in it wud push that same out the bottom. So thts y i went with 2 gallons this time. Or when u say not enough do u mean as in nutrients there wont be enough to feed the soil?

That's gonna work for you! 2 gallons. Don't forget to pour some down the top.

Stick to trans for the first drench but don't go by nodes, go by when pots dry out, they should feel like a bucket filled with feathers.

Yeah, I read this while making my last post. So 3 may be too much but 2 may not be quite enough, let us know. Not enough meaning that by the last plant or 2, there won't be enough in bucket to effectively dunk. Dumping 1/2-1gallon is typical but many don't like to waste product.

Ok i wasnt sure if it was a nutrient thing or what lol. So i jus added another gallon of ro water that i had on hand. An added in a tad under a 1/4 tsp of tea to make closer to 3ml. But ok after i dunk them all an i do add from the top as well like doc said in his videos on his website to help pull in more oxygen. An i always wait till first signs of wilting start to appear b4 i do any feedings/waterings no matter what it is not jus by the nodes. Its jus doc mentions not to do the first drench till 5+ nodes are present. An since she is starting her 6th node now i jus wanted to know if they had to start with the trans drench first or if i could jus give her a drench with this one the growth. But ill have to make up a small batch of trans to drench my amnesia lemon in. Man the plants love this mix of super duper super soil lmao. I super cropped a few of the taller clones the other day an 2day u they r just a praying lol. They r sticking up so much u cudnt even tell i did the super crop anymre lol. I cant wait to see how they look after they eat today lol.

OK,..for the past number of years i have heard lottsa different ways to measure DBHBB liquid products. I have not joined in cuz you all are bright people and can figure it out . Today , i've simply had enough....old brixers...new brixers...doesn't matter. Just use my formula ...EVERY time. Ween , if a grower is only watering one , one gal. pot , then mix up enough to soak the pot,....simple. Just use the same formula....EVERY time 15mls. /gal. of water. There is NO need to make things complicated , and it's NOT rocket science. Like i said...this is what I do......others will do what they like....but this is wat works well for me and my plants. This has been talked about with Doc in Jamaica last yr. as well. 15mls/gal of water...EVERY Drench...NO exceptions!!
Ween ,...with Tea i ALWAYS eye ball it in the bottle 'cap'....usually 1/2 a cap /2 gal's. of water (one full green plastic watering can). Cheers gang......hope this gets thru to some ...:circle-of-love:

Sorry Bud! We basically do the same thing. I am giving 15ml of drench per gallon of water, it's Just that I come up with the calculation in a different way. Pretty sure I used to look at it from a ml per gallon of water way then someone corrected me and said to measure by gallons of soil. Also pretty sure Doc approved that method of measuring. I don't find it complicated with my big pots but it is a little more work with 1's. It's safe to say both methods work so whatever works for the I individual grower os what he or she should do.

Ok so it works out the in the same ballpark no matter how you come at it, is what I’ve worked out.

But Duggs, just so you know, the reason folks ask about the measurements per gal of soil is because that’s what it lists on the bottles.

So Blazin, that’s why it seems so different. On the bottles the instructions are per gal of soil, in the PDF guide it’s per 5gals of water. If you crunch the numbers it usually amounts to roughly the same..

And in fact it’s not far off Duggs’s per gal amount (and remember none of it needs to be super precise) :)

And you need to double it if you’re dunking - which, not incidentally, is something Duggs never does, so sorry Duggs, your measurements won’t work for everyone (inless we double it to dunk :) ).

And go easy on us newbies Duggs. Folks are only responding to what’s written on the product. ;)

Y does it have to be doubled if dunking? but not doubled if watering from the top Im guessing?
