Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hey Blaze! Dunk if you can. How many plants do you have? Drench is given from 1ml to 2ml per gallon of soil and tea is .1 so for every 10ml of drench its 1ml of tea. When dunking you double so if you have 4 plants in 1's then 16-32ml of drench and 1.6-3.2ml of tea. I'd say go on the light side if they're young. Provide as much info as possible when asking for advice, pics included as it helps us to give the best advice.

For the dunk, put 2.5-3 gallons of water in a 5 gal bucket, add the tea and let sit for a few minutes then add drench. Float 1 plant at a time in that solution until soaked, you'll have to add a cup or so over the top, then drain well, tip this way and that way.

Also when doing a drench how should i be feeding them should i jus water from the top down til alil run off shows or shud i jus set the pot ina bucket to soak up what it needs? Also when the tea says use 2 drops per gallon of soil does tht mean i add all my plants soil 2gether what ever is being fed and go with that? or does it mean if im using one gal pots no matter how many plants there are only go with one gal worth?

Watering

When I do veg plants in 1 gals, I'll mix up 3-4 gals of water. I'll use 3-4 ml of tea with an oz of drench, as they get a little bigger I'll use 1.5 up to 2 oz's of drench with 3-4 gals of water. I'll dunk them all. Then what's left I'll top feed my big girls in 10 gal pots. That way I don't waste anything.

I think we all use the kit a little differently to get same results. Just gotta jump in and get a 2-3 runs in. I'll never go back to synthetics. Huge difference in quality, and I get exact same yield as I did before but with better effects.

Here's a happy little seedling, sunset sherb/wedding cake. Since these are fem seeds, I went ahead and planted in 3rd run soil.
They're all praying, looking happy, been almost 14 days, I'll give a little drink of water tomorrow, I usually put couple drops of trans in the water to. Just give them a little taste of what's coming lol:Namaste::passitleft:

Fine ass plants you guys are sharing! :goodjob:

@Amy Gardner ,@Doc Bud , @weenmeoff , @medmanmike , Sorry if i missed anyone. They all look amazing. Just caught up on the last 10 pages or so. Great content going on here.

Hey Buck enjoyed your bud porn pictures! They look awesome. Just curious why ur stating that they are fem seeds and that you will use 3rd run soil.

Little bugger looks great! Digging the Sunset Sherbert, Just got an email from Seedsman and that’s what caught my eye  first.

I’ll pass by your journal and see what your doing over there, rock on!

So question guys when im feeding or watering my plants shud i always be dunking them or shud i water/feed from the top sometimes to an if so shud i be watering till i see run off like i do with synthetic feedings?
When the containers are dry as described, do this:
dunking
  1. Prepare a tub/bucket of water such that when you submerge a dry container from above, the water level rises to at least 3/4ths up level of the soil. If using a drench, mix it TWICE AS STRONG AS NORMAL.
  2. Submerge the containers and let them soak and wick up the drench for 5 minutes or so. When removing the containers from the soaking bucket/tub, tilt them to drain as much liquid out as possible.
The pressure of submerging in this way draws air in from above which the plants absolutely love. This method will result in stronger stems, robust roots, shorter internodal spacings, and better leaf to calyx ratios.

I think it’s kinda optional Blazin’.

Doc recommends always doing the dunk method if you can.

There are growers who don’t dunk at all tho. (And some who go to elaborate lengths to dunk right through flower!)

If you’re not dunking, then the recommendation is to put half in the saucer to wick up from the bottom and half down the top.

I’m not sure about watering to run of. I’d think that’d only be required if there was an issue of some kind.

Other more experienced folk may add to or change that, but that’s what I know about it :)
