Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

West Coast Brixer Group, Meetings
Was thinking of hosting a meeting but needed to clean up the yard first and now I am being
bombarded with LET US SELL your house and they are rapidly approaching the OFFER I CANT refuse
so we will need to meet at your place :)

Property value up 500,000 in 1 year ( last year 700.000 this year 1.2 M )
or 1369.86 increase every day I got up last year

Damn Gazoo... I feel bad for you. Those property taxes have to be brutal!
Pretty awesome the value went up so fast!

...I'm assuming you would relocate to somewhere with lower housing costs and enjoy a sizable nest egg...thoughts on where?...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:

Good Morning Duggan! Hope your day is starting off great for you!

Awesome yeah i think ill do the tarp method when i cook the soil. Definitely sounds easy to mix and then clean up and put away. I like the sound of that. Thanks for the walk though brotha! :high-five:

Oh KK is flipping to flower tonight around 7pm :0

Have a fantastic day as well!!:rollit:
I watered as I layered into the barrel, worked great

I was on board with everything you were saying until this. Yes, let's move somewhere where there are 3,000 things trying to kill me lol.

They don't try to kill you, sometimes it just happens that way, most of our critters are quite well behaved.

Yup...bestest way , if you don't have a lot of space. Cheers Farmer...:high-five:

Australia, If they will have me :cool: loved it there (77 to 78) they just drive on the wrong side of the road ;)
Plus our cannabis laws are pretty shite.

What Blacksmith says it pretty true tho - mostly they behave well. Speaks the woman who spent NYE in a near death anaphylactic episode from an ant bite while gardening :eek: I survivd though, am I still go out in the garden. All the critters just keep us alert ;)

Duggs, from Sydney I fly 10 hours to get to Hawaii. How far from there to US? It’s not 2days, we’re ahead of you... you lose that time on the way back so getting back takes less than minutes... you might even get home before you leave :rofl:

But yeah - OS travel from here is always like that, we’re a long way away. That’s why Hawaii is so appealing-it’s a quick flight.

I remember it taking forever when we Left from Hawaii but that was a C-130 and we had to re-fuel in America Samoa
and I think we still got there a day before we left ?

Oh yea since I'm already mucking up the thread The other cool thing about Hawaii I remember is it rained in
sheets and I could just walk ahead of it while it rained behind me, Plus that I could always just walk into the warm
water until it passed :)

Just look out for the local police, they drive there private jacked up 60 muscle cars, at least thats how it was
in the 70's

Hi Doc and gang,

This question needs a little background, so please bear with me.

Because there’s no PromixHP available here, I used pure sphagnum peat moss for my mix.

I mixed a half batch of kit soil.

Some of you may remember a discussion about this at the time I realised my (minor) mistake.

PromixHP has 27% perlite in every 3.8cu.ft bale.

I should have removed 1/4 of the SPM (which was also 3.8cu t) and added the perlite in its place, but I didn’t.

I added perlite to half the bale (25% of the amount of SPM), added doc’s recommended amount of limestone powder as buffer and half the 1st run ammendments, and 20pounds of castings.

What this means is that I ended up with a mix that’s a little on the light side in terms of calcium buffer and the kit amendment (not the castings, they should be fine).

At the time Doc, I think you didn’t see it as a problem so it’s probably not. However;

I’m starting to see some motley coloration on the leaves (pale and dark). It’s not extreme, but it’s more noticeable today than it was yesterday. I wonder a few things about this:

I wonder if it’s an issue;

I wonder if the slightly light base soil might be the reason, and if it is, whether drenches can remedy, and;

I wonder if it’s something else.

Today is day 41 - last drench was a TP 3days ago, yesterday it got a brix.

I’m not panicked about it at all, just observing and wondering. :)

:Namaste:
