DK'S New Grow 2020

Only curing and correct drying will get rid of the grass smell. Gotta jar it up and keep it in the dark while burping daily
Tent looks great man
Thank you sir I appreciate that. Hope I can possibly grow some nice dank like you did. I'm astonished by how Good yours are coming out!

Well I have always kept it 5.8 though... Still feel like a noob haha

Congrats on the flip...the plants look great! Love the cable knit sweater too. How are the low temps these days?

Was going to say it's cold there by you when I saw the double thick jersey there boetie...
I haven't muddled with ph since last year to be honest, but I always aimed for 6.0 - 6.2 generally...

It is just a night when the temperature drops quickly. It's now 14°c and the tent is 21°c. Seems to be stable. It is raining today with 92% so the whole day will be wet. Should be a lekker day.

It's also raining here and I need to trim so going to be a wet one.have ya got a carpet under your tent...?
Ja I got a blanket. I might just need to add another one or 2. F*&# know how I will do thag with the plants tied down haha.

Isn't it bad to trim harvest and trim when wet? I remember reading that when I harvested that bigger plant of mine

I always wet trim. Others prefer to dry trim. I like to get all the trimming done while the leaves are sticking straight out, and I find it a pain in the ass to trim once the sugars have curled around the buds!

Complete personal preference.
I agree with you there. Makes for a nicer looking bud too. The trimming when wet I was referring is once it has rained wet then the bud itself is wet with water

I wash my buds at harvest so they're pretty wet. I do hang them in front of a fan for 3-4 hours before I trim though, so they're not dripping!
You have to fill me in now... Why do you wash your buds?

To get them clean! Is this a quiz? Indoor plants get dust and pet hair and dander, and if you spray them with anything then they have whatever you spray them with. Outdoor plants get all that and more!

I wash mine with 1:3 or 1:4 H2O2:water (depending on how rich I'm feeling on harvest day) because it kills the bugs (not caterpillars though) and any powdery mildew on the plants. Indoor growers often use baking soda and lemon juice in one bucket and another bucket (or two) of plain water as a rinse.

Dutchman did a great tutorial on washing here, using the baking soda/lemon method, but it's the same with H2O2.

I wash most times as well. Although it's almost a blanch with hot ( not boiling) water and then cold immediately after.
Then in front of a fan for an hour (sativa buds dry much quicker ) then I get on with the trim.
When dry it's just a case of snipping the buds off and into jars for the cure.
I've noticed no difference between wet and dry trim in the final product ever.
Have a kkickass day DK . Yes the extra k is for extra kickass .

My initial thought was to not wash buds as the trichomes could come off. I do know they are not water soluble yes but the general wash I thought want good. This is new to me and that's why I ask. I now understand what you are talking about

I try be as gentle as possible. Have not seen damage toto trichs after washing. Don't let the buds brush up against the washing container or get squashed and you will be fine.

I'm actually super surprised. Thank you for the insight!
