I was talking about the hempy one you put a bag over. The way it was wilting and looks burned just like mine did when I use dutch masters full strenght. I lost alot of plant to dutch master. With the hempy the salts build up so most people flush every few times instead of feeding. Most times I see people suggesting special products for flushing I'm leary they work for the brand they say to use. You grow looks great keep it up.

:yummy:
Thanks guys!

Turrtle, I have BOTH permaflect film and Panda Film but haven't lined the walls of the veg chamber. I did put permaflect up in the flower chamber. I'll be using the panda film to make the doors light-proof but haven't hung it yet. That white mylar is pretty reflective (admittedly, I don't know the %) so figured I wouldn't really need it in veg.

UPATE: I got myself organized today around my new situation. I put the other Haze & Kush into hempys and LST'd the kush.

Here's Hempy #1:

Here's the other hempy with the LST:

And, I don't see any spider mites (looked with a jewelers loupe) but just to be safe, I picked up some of this "Fungicide3" at Lowes today. It's made by Schultz and looks pretty good:

Check it out:

And, it's OMRI listed for use with fruits, vegetables, and of course, herbs!

Subbed!!! Glad to finally be here to, I see something that's gonna take a while to read through, but I know I will enjoy.

And I use that Garden Safe in my garden also, it works well from my observance, even took care of a little PM without many treatments..Their other incecticide product works well too...and the price?!?! come on, great deal...:peace::goodjob::bongrip:

Great pics Mr. K! Such cut little budlets... ;)

Congrats on the newborn, too. Have a cigar, papa! :blunt:

Thanks, XLR8...they are very cute - you can tell they get that from their mother! :)

Coincidently, I was just gonna celebrate with a nice stogie...Maybe I'll have a cigar, too!

Isnt the beginning of flower just beautiful :yahoo: i love watching the bud leaves take over and stretch out whooo those look purty.

Hey, Magic! :welcome:

I agree, and I've commented before, I really find there's excitement in every phase of the grow but once the buds start popping, things really start getting fun! :yahoo:

Aaaaahhhh....OK...You're going back quite a ways, now...back to the donated clones from a couple grows ago (same journal, though!).

I think we had determined that those clones had most of their roots cut off when the cube was removed from a grow slab. I wouldn't doubt that, with the root issues, even feeding them a moderate dose of nutes may have added to the issues, but I think she was here only a short time before she started wilting.

I've actually been using Clearex for flushing and it seems to work well for me, but I do follow-up the Clearex flush with a straight water flush, when I do it.

Also, strange you had problems with the DM nutes - I hear very good things about DM, but I'm only using their Zone product which is fantastic.

Thanks for the good words!

Geez, GT.....you shouldn't have said anything cuz' I thought you've been here this whole time!

That pic was from a couple of grows ago, so you got some catchin up to do and I'm glad you finally made it! :welcome:

Yeah, that Garden Safe seems to work well, although, I haven't really had any major problems to see how it performs under pressure. :wood:

But, as you said, I think the price on the bottle was something like $5 (I don't remember exactly, but do remember I posted the price!), so you can't really go wrong and I figured it would be good to have on-hand.

I did use it a few times as a "preventative" on the first grow, but haven't needed or used it since then.

Hey Mr. Krip. :)

Think I'm going to make template of a post too you and just use it over and over it will go like this:

Great Pictures as usual Mr. Krip! Nice baby buds and nice newborn. :yummy:

That's perfect!!! :thumb:

Then I can have a template to respond to your posts that will go like this:

Thanks, OMM! :thankyou:

I couldn't have done it without you!

Then, we can both save some time! :)

HYDROHEART - ANYONE USE THIS?

I've been looking at ways of increasing my yield in the small space, or even increasing the space I'm using, and was looking at ways to do a SOG. I probably won't do this for a few grows, but started researching and came across this unit that looks pretty cool:

HydroHeart Automatic Hydroponics Watering System - YouTube

Does anyone have any experience with these? The res's look a little small to me, even for a SOG, but I've got to imagine that's what it was built for.

Any input is appreciated! :)

from what i understand there is another rez that is behind the cab. looks kool!

Shaggie, that's correct. They give you one of those collapsable 5 gallon water jugs (I've used them for camping!) as a "back-up" res (clear plastic!). It is not pictured in the video. In the main controller res, there's a float valve and when water level gets too low, it pumps in water from the back-up res.

I need to check and see how many sites I can get into a 2'x2' space, but if I can get 6-9 sites and the res's don't get too filled with roots too quick, it might be a good way to max yield in that small cab of mine.

I think you can fit 9 easily, maybe even 12-16 if you're growing a straight SOG, single COLA clone to 12/12 set up. The one thing I see though is the total volume is going to be pretty low since the control unit is smaller than most. You could build a small undercurrent type system with 4 square buckets and put 4 plants per buckets, that is the way I would go. Although I like the thought the guys put into the construction of these units and they aren't crazy expensive.

If you buy one of them I am definitely interested in seeing how it works out. If you can get 9~12 in a 2x2, I could triple that in my 2x6....wheels turning, thoughts happening....hmm.....

So many great reads, so little time...And I was looking back through when I seen that I believe, quick skim, but gotta read it all, I'm sure a nerd like me will love it!:welldone: And I gotta give those guys props on that stuff, it worked as well for me as some more expensive products........:peacetwo:

I have a feeling you'll have a chance to try out some of the "good stuff" soon, go NOTM!

I like to put a 6 month cure on EVERYTHING I save for personal, sooooo.....Still have a little longer to wait, but it is worth it, well worth it, plus I really pushed that run with nutes on a couple of the plants to see if they could take it, getting nutes right is important in any grow, but crucial in Auto's because their limited lifespan......not much time to correct issues on some strains, so have to get nute schedule dialed in on them, I am gonna try some hydro very soon when I can afford it, I think this could really make a difference, and Xlr8's example got me goin on it, as well as some of the setups I have seen here, on yours, mr. smith, krip, and several other friends' journals...With a love for science it is inevitable for me to try Hydroponics....sorry, off topic, hehe, I'm ripped, and my wife has Call of Duty up loud, lol, she is getting better.....:peace:
