i know thats why he released 200 , then we killd them!

MacG, I believe DHunter is saying his friend also had a mite problem and they released 200 ladybugs in his grow room to deal with them, then, once the mites were eradicated, they put up pest strips to get the ladybugs. You can purchase live ladybugs as predators to help with insect problems in the garden.

Dhunter, if your friend had spider mites and you were visiting his growroom or got clones from him, it could easily explain how they got in yours!

Thanks for that Mr. Krip! Just a little confusing...

I have released lady bugs in every outdoor garden I planted for the past several years. This is the first year at my new place and was glad to see someone before me had already released a healthy colony before I moved in. I just love those little critters! :) Kids love em too, and they have a lot of fun letting them go and spreading them in the yard. What I like also is that once a good colony is established they will return year after year.

That's great! But don't kill the lady bugs! They help in getting rid of the bugs you don't want! :high-five:

FINALLY!!! A PIC UPDATE

Wow! It's been a CRAZY few weeks, and I've been on just about every day trying to keep up with journals, but it's sure been a while since you all have had a pic update from me, so here it goes:

The two PE clones I transplanted to bigger hempies are doing great. They've got great color and, thanks to keeping the lights right on top of them (no bigger plants in veg), they are staying relatively short. The other two are still in mini-hempys and I'm sure quite rootbound by now, so I'll need to find some other good home for them, as I'm really trying to keep the plants to a minimum so I avoid overcrowding and can figure out how many strains I can actually manage in perpetual.

Here's the two PE's that were transplanted, and, I think I'll flower both together once their mom is harvested:

As for Mommy PE, she's definately enjoying all the space she has alone in the flower chamber. She's spread out with her LST and takes up the full space, but there would be plenty of room for another plant the same size:

Unlike either the AK or the haze, her stretch in flower was minimal, so there's still plenty of top space, and her colas, at least at this point, seem like they're a lot shorter, but still look and smell great; and, thanks to the multiple toppings, there's a lot of them!:

And here's some close-up bud shots showing the gorgeous trichs. So far, this is definately the dankest smelling strain to grace the grow cab! :) :

Finally, it's been almost three weeks that the haze has been curing. The buds are much tighter than the AK, but still a little on the airy side. Also, as great as both the AK and the haze smelled when they were in flower, I have noticed with both strains that after drying & curing I don't get that real dank smell until the buds are broken up. But, it definately smokes nice with that smooth skunky/pine smell and gives you one of those highs you don't really notice until you realize it's been 2 hours since you last took a hit. I definately prefer the indicas, but for those who like sativas, I wouldn't hesitate to try the Royal Haze.

Happy Harvests!

K

Nice looking buds there Mr. Krip - sounds like the Royal Haze is a pretty good smoke.

Those PE clones are really green, compact and healthy looking. They seem to be loving what you are doing for them.
