damn u can see how swollen them calyx's are, mine are startin to look like that, how far in are u agin?? im 49 days in.. and im startin to see the pistils are startin to turn orange...and on one of my plants the tips of the calyxs where the pistils come out are turnin pink, never seen that before, mines are turnin around slowly but surely, i've fed them twice sofar since i've got everything, but yea im holdin on over here... but yours are still lookin good, glad to see, good job dude.... :tokin:

They do look very perked up and out there visibly, very nice.

Looking good and I hope you get that pH under control. It would suck if you have to adjust it every day.

Me too! :thumb:

Nothing like watching a movie with a good Indica. I think, anyway. ;)

Snow Storm Ultra certainly did something. They look great! Of course, your pictures always do.:clap::clap:

They look nice Mr. Krip - Great pictures. I'm curious to see what happens with the Snow Storm Ultra...
:yummy:

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the good words & help from all of you got me here!

Thanks, Suka. The AK is at 37 days of 12/12 and the Haze is at 35.

BEDTIME BUD SHOTS

Not too much to update today. I did move the last of the four PE tops to a mini-hempy and did some mild trimming and adjusting of the LST's for the girls in flower.

Although I hadn't mentioned it, several days ago I noticed some of the pistils starting to turn amber. You might have noticed them in some of the pics.

Anyways, here's a few bud shots I took just before lights-out tonight. I hope you enjoy!

How close to the light are the colas? I'm just wondering why the pistols are turning already, because they should fill in and bulk up alot more, could they be getting scorched by the light a little? Anyway, their coming along nicely, keep it up!

I'm quite certain it isn't light burn since, in some places, the amber pistils are fairly low on the colas where much higher on the same colas, there is no amber. Should I be nervous about this? I'm certainly expecting them to bulk up a lot more, too, but didn't realize that some pistils turning amber this early might signify a problem.

They certainly look good to me. If there are any changes I don't think discounting the change in menu should be ruled out. I know how I get when I want a burger and a steak shows up on my plate. Looking good Krippie!

WEEKLY UPDATE

I just finished the weekly res changes, so it's time for the updates. I hope to complete it because my new laptop just flagged me that my hard drive is about to die and I need to backup files immediately. I am copying files as I type this to a portable hard disk!

Starting on the veg side, two more of the PE clones were showing some good roots. In fact, they kinda looked like this:

So, I put them into their own mini-hempys and now the veg side looks like this:

Everyone there is doing well, of course, with the exception of Lucy still being small...I just don't have the heart to toss her (yet!!!).

The AK is starting to grow pretty quick:

And, although I couldn't really get a good pic of it, the PE that got UBT'd and then topped again has a very cool branch structure:

On the flower side, we're just starting week #6 of 12/12. It's been exactly 35 days for the AK and 33 days for the haze. I'm guessing I have about 30 more days to go on the AK and maybe 40-45 or so on the haze.

I made the switch to Advanced Nutes Micro/Grow/Bloom. The AN customer support was fantastic and they took a lot of time going through the exact dosages I should be giving. I followed them exactly, and the final PPM's were ONLY 710! This is coming from a 1,500PPM last week using the GH nutes (albeit, I pushed them a little!). AN warned me that their PPM's would be lower and I would be fine, so I'm leaving as-is and we'll see how they do. I also had to add much more PH-down to get the PH in range, so over the next day or two, I'm gonna keep a close eye on PPM's and PH and make sure they're happy with the new program.

Here they are in the cab:

When they're spread out a little, you can really see how much bigger the AK is than the haze:

And, we've got more colas & buds than a bartender at a football game! :)

Happy Harvests & thanks to everyone for all the help!
:thanks:

Holy freakin wow.

I haven't seen these results with Grow-Micro-Bloom, and I'm so glad that you're posting yoru grow right now.

I need to tweak a few things, it seems. Great details in this journal to help me make sure that I'm doing what my plants need me to do in order to see the best results.

Thanks for the AN advice - thought I knew what I was doing, but you're certainly the one to turn to the next time I have questions....

Rock on!

I agree - I went through having a little plant stress during my first grow after switching nutrient programs. I'm sure they're fine.

I'm sure they will be fine, I was just making sure they wernt getting a little toasted from the light. They will fill in and bulk up soon, I'll be watching.
Peace,
NEPharmer

Thanks guys! I feel much better now. I haven't seen much signs of stress since changing nute programs and PH is starting to stabilize somewhat, although, I'm still checking & adjusting it daily. I'll try to post some more pics later.

Thanks MotherH, I'm certainly far from an expert on this stuff, but happy to help any way I can. One thing worthy of note is that AN actually has TWO different nute calculators. The one you get to initially is assumes you water once a week and has much higher dosages, and from that page, there is a link to the other nute calculator.

When you're in hydro and the roots are constantly submerged, apparently you can take the PPM's way down. As an example, for week #1 of veg, the main nute calculator says 4 ml/gallon of G/M/B but when I reviewed with their tech, they said to use .4 ml/gallon (1/10th the amount!) shown on the calculator. I called them up to verify this, since I thought maybe the math was off by a factor of 10 and this is when it was explained to me.
:goodluck:

QUICK UPDATE:

Veg side is starting to get crowded. Both the haze and the PE are ready to flower, but that's not the plan.

It will be another month, at least, until the flower side has available space. At that time, I'll most likely flower the Haze, without taking any clones from her, along with one of the PE clones that's in a mini-hempy now.

I'm going to try to keep the big PE as a mother and AK as a mother and, probably sometime during my 3rd or maybe 4th grow, I'll see if I can get a Lucy mother going with my last Lucy seed and focus on those three strains for a while.

Here's what the veg side is looking like today:

IMAGE_917.jpg

It's been 38 days of 12/12 for the AK and 36 for the haze. It's definately tough to notice the changes on the flower side when I keep posting pic's daily, but things keep looking good and if I go back a few days, I can definately see the differences.

I was planning on starting the three week countdown to harvest this weekend, if possible. My plan is to start reducing PPM's, stop using the Big Bud, and start using the Overdrive for two weeks, then a Clearex flush and straight water for a week or so. In truth, I did expect some more bulk on the buds by now, since there's certainly nothing really "smokeworthy" yet, although, all the flowering is impressive and makes for some nice pics! :)

More bud shots are coming, and we have until Friday night to decide, but you guys please let me know if you think harvesting in three weeks from this coming weekend is realistic or if I should wait a little longer.

I have some friends coming to stay here on 4/21 and was hoping to be in jars by 4/20 (it would be soooooo appropriate!!!), but as it's looking, I may need to expand my odor control cuz' I have a feeling I'll be in flush and will find out how stealthy this setup really is! :grinjoint:

Here's the buds & let me know what you think! Thanks!!!

I think is realistic to be harvesting in just under 4 weeks. Honestly though, you can't predict that, it will all be up to the plants. :)

Thanks, Hemp! I'm certainly not going to rush it, so if the plants aren't ready, neither am I! :)

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to tell when they're ready from the trich's. I just don't think I'll know when it's three weeks before they're ready, and that's when I need to change my nutes! :)

I guess, I could always flush longer, if needed, but according to AN, I'm supposed to start the Overdrive two weeks before the flush.

So, think I should change this weekend, or wait another week or so before changing nutes? Or, would you rather wait until Friday and see what they look like then before you answer? :tokin:

I don't think you have to be spot on. I think if you count 3 weeks from this weekend, you will be pretty close, give or take a couple days. Hope this helps.

It helps tremendously, thanks! :thanks:

I'm not too worried about a couple of days...I just don't want to switch nutes a couple of weeks early. So, if you think 4 weeks is pretty close, I'll go for it on next res change, or perhaps, I'll top off with nutes over the weekend, then do the res changes next Wednesday which will give another few days before I switch to Overdrive and start the 3-week countdown.

Using Clearex with Hydro, I understand you can flush in as little as three days, so I can always cut the flush time, if needed.

Thanks, again, Bro! :high-five:
