DIY Stealth Cab, Hydro, LED & Multiple Strains in Small Space - Oh Boy!

Disgustingly beautiful Pictures and Plants my Friend! :ganjamon:

Much appreciated, OMM! If MJ was a little more socially accepted (and, perhaps a little more legal) I'd probably make posters of all those pics, frame 'em, and hang 'em around the house! Maybe someday! :wood:

I never get tired looking at your pictures! I'm thinking of getting a LED light just for the pictures!!!:rofl::rofl: because they come out sooo cool.

Thanks, Hemp! Lucky for you, I never get tired of taking them! And, you're right, they do come out cool under the LED's, plus with the mix of red/blue and the CFL's, depending on what angle you take the pic from, you can different lighting colors that really bring out the beauty in the plants.

Here's a few more I shot this morning. Buds are getting bigger and starting to form real colas:

Mr. Krip, Very nice, your girls look very good. Great pics and a great read.

After seeing your AK I will be growing mine out by herself, and see if I can fill up my tent, but thats later on.

I'm subbed for the rest great job.

Thanks PBR and good to have you along for the ride! :welcome:

Yeah, when I posted in your journal that Blue knows what he's talking about, I was referring to the AK stretch (although, he knows a lot more than just that! :)) and doing her in a 5 gal bucket instead of the smaller ones. I'll try to get some updated root pics, but you can tell by her size above ground that she's got some pretty good roots. :grinjoint:

TRICH PICS

Since I had a little free time tonight, I decided to try some more trich shots using my PITA method of holding a jewelers loupe in front of the cell phone camera. Again, it's very tough to focus correctly since I'm using a loupe, so if I move the slightest, or the fan blows (which it does!) everything gets quickly driven out of focus.

So, these aren't the same quality as ones where I don't have to use a loupe, but I thought they were worthy of posting none-the-less.

I hope you all enjoy! :grinjoint:

You know what works great for eying trichomes/pics of trichomes? A kids toy called "Eyeclops". It's like a little video microscope that you plug into your TV. Getting closer to harvest, I take a clipping and view it with the "Eyeclops" on my 50" Plasma. It's amazingly clear and detailed - especially on the big plasma. The trichomes look like a forest with that thing! They're like $60 on amazon - or cheap at a garage sale... :)

Eyeclops

I think I might splurge and pick up one of these:

DIGITAL MICROSCOPE Celestron 44302 Handheld w/ Camera!

I did see the Eyeclops being advertised as low at $10 used on ebay, too, but it looks like too much of a toy & the one above has built in lighting & digital camera. Although the built-in camera is only 1.3mpx, it may be worth trying out since I can always try shooting the better camera thru the microscope.

That thing seems great and much nicer than the eyeclops. Just wanted to note that despite it looking like a toy, it really works good and gives a great view of the trich's. The Celestron is probably much nicer. I just happened to have one of those eyeclops things around that the kids hardly ever use, and much to my surprise it comes in real handy!

I do appreciate the suggestion, and you're not the only one I've heard that from regarding the Eyeclops, so it must work well! In fact, if you read back a couple of pages and you'll see a couple more people who suggested it, which is why I was checking them out.

But I just ordered a 60x lighted jewelers loupe and a 60x-100x portable microscope w/ stand (got both for less than $10 shipped!), so before I order the Celestron or an Eyeclops, I'll see what I can do with the new toys when they come in.

:thankyou:

FASCINATING! :thumb:

Those bedtimers are awesome too! :goodjob:

I admire your dedication to getting those shots! :goodjob: That's got to be pretty difficult to capture through a loop.

RE the Eyeclops and Celestron units: I have the Celestron and am going to start using it soon to keep a good eye on the trichs as mine suck. I bought a few for QC work and $40 rings a bell.
I once saw the Eyeclops setup in an interactive display at a store. It's an adult tool in kids clothing. Xlr8 is right... it's surprisingly good.
