I had considered that Lucy might be rootbound, too. The factors that signal it may not be the case are that she has basically been stunted since day #1 (long before she would have been rootbound), and, I can't see any roots trying to make their way towards the drain hole.
So, I tend to believe she's not rootbound, but most likely I'll transplant her this weekend after I do res changes.
If she's not rootbound, do you think cloning her may result in a better plant, considering part of the problem may be that she was started in that STG cube?
I've also considered just "lollipopping" her and flowering her as a single cola plant, but I do want to try to maintain that LS* strain and after her, I'm down to only one seed!
I guess I'll try cloning her and see what happens, but taking suggestions till Saturday's res changes!
Interesting thought transplanting her at that size. I'm far too inexperienced to offer a suggestion on that. Reading required. One caveat I can think of is that if the strain is of high import to you, then taking the bird in hand might serve that interest more safely and in less time. If you to continue cultivating her, even if failure began to occur, you'd still have the option of taking her top. Then again my judgement may be severely muted by this new kush I got. Baked. Out. Forgive me, I cheated and started the party early!
