DIY Grow Box 2nd Grow

Well it's day 16 of 12/12 for our flowering 1024. She is very healthy and I think she is done with stretching but who knows. She is literally maybe 4 inches tall, No B/S. HAHA She has many bud sites and smells very poent.:grinjoint:

There are more pics in my photo gallery. The pics give no justice b/c these photos are blury and not detailed. There are so many little white hairs sprouting and baby buds are growing so fast. If you look at the 1st photo then the 2nd and 3rd, you can see the growth in just 9 days. I am very happy once again. Looks like in about 8 weeks we will have a harvest....:cheertwo:

Hey MI I like your little box, I use to use one back in Mo. I have a ? tho. Do I see brown walls? You can paint them with some white paint. Cardboard does paint well. The paint even gives it alittle strength and waterproofing. Besides reflecting the lite back. Just a thought. looking good tho. GL

Yes, you do see brown its plywood not cardboard. I was planning on getting mylar but I might just have to paint it white or put more tin foil in there. My brain says mylar but the funds say tin foil or paint....:smokin:

I actually think for CFL's flat white is supposed to be as good or better than mylar. I personally recommend if you can find it, Krylon bright flat white. It is used to go under bright color's to show them off, it has high reflectivity.

she sure is, man our vegging 1024 is looking more and more like a bush every day. We cant wait to clone her and finally flower this beautiful lady.

Dude if Dollars are the issue, flat white wall paint like 3 coats is from what I here is more relective than foil. I know for a fact I read that somewhere something like 80% and mylar was the only thing higher. Foil was rite under flat white. And last on that list was gloss white. I can't remember where I read it, but I know I did, mybey max yield mag? By chance do you get that mag? It's free and has some great info in it. But you can buy a quart of even walmarts brand pure white and a throw away brush for under 8 bucks I think. But any white will help even a offwhite. GL with your grow.

Elastomere Paint 90%
Flat White Paint 75-85%
Styrofoam 75-85%
Emergency Blankets 70%
Glossy White Paint 50-60%

Panda film (black/white plastic) claims 90%, is another option and helps with light proofing.

Hey there MI great progress on the ladies. The buds are everywhere on that plant. Very cool. I have young buds as well and its fun watching them flourish. Keep up the good work.

Don't know where all tha came from but I can belive the order. I got a feeling the color white has alot to do white it. I did clean rooms for Larance Livermore Labs, and them fuckers hurt your eyes. But it was gloss hypoxie. It shined that concentrates your lite in pin points, instead of over all spread of a flat paint. All them #'s? Well all that depends on WHO is doing the tests. But Looks pretty close in the order there Bong. I seen reflectors called Great White that claim 90% reflective and then the Magnum Hood that claims 95%. But then who did the tests? heres the Magnum Products

Well then places Ive read Flat White paint does 80%. I guess depends on where ya read. But dude dont take 5 bucks to flat white it till ya get your mylar. then no big hurry enjoy your grow

She is getting hair in all the right places, looks like they are ready to explode with nice nugs in the following weeks to come.. Best of luck with your grow as well my friend. I'll have to check in on your ladies and see how they are doing..

Flat white paint is more in likely what I will have to do untill we can save $$$$$ for some mylar. Thanks for all of your advice guys..
 
The studies on light reflectivity were done locally at the Dr. P. Venkmen's Advanced Optics Research Foundation at Iowa State. They used a giga meter, PKE meter, proton pack and a vial of ectoplasm to find the various reflective qualities of the items listed previously.
 
Yes that mylar was really cheap, thank's bongtastic. I might just have to get a prepaid credit card and order me up some or alot.

Well we will figure out what to do about the reflective material tommorow. I found some panda film in a city 20 miles away at a gardening shop. I do believe that's the name for it, the price was around 12 bucks for a 10'x10' section. I also found out we got a hydro store here in town now, so I'll have to go there tomorrow and see what they got as well. What we hope for is that they will give some of discounts for legal growers. I might check on some rooting gel as well because I am really anxious to learn how to clone. Our 1024 in veg is looking more and more like a big bush. We are planning on taking 6-8 clones maybe more, but I'm concerned about thinning her out to much. As soon as our clones have survied and rooted, we plan on flowering this lady. I dont think that will be a problem though because it takes about a good 2 weeks for a healthy root ball to form right. Our lady will have time to recover and sprout new growth. I hope my green thump over rides my inexperience as a grower.

I have good vibes for this grow, we have learned so much for our previous failures and sucess. I have personally learned alot from many growers here on 420. I'm hopeful that all the clones will turn out. I'm not to going to jump the gun or anything but I got a grow in the planning that I want to get done before Sept 1st.

Sorry for always having bury photos, but damn can't you see all the white spots!! Those are very hairy, baby buds, smelling just so sweet it give you a buzz on the spot. Just pinch and smell... It's like WOOOOOOOO. I can only imagine what this is like. The smell reminds me of some green from back in the day boy. She is in a room that's 1x3 with 615 watts of cfl light (2700k). I really wish I could get a good close up but oh well. The triches are really starting to expose themselves. There are so many bud sites as you can see! Yes our photo is bury, but you can still see what is blooming and transforming.

We are really excited to see what this lady can do.

honestly bong gave you a great link. almost everything we as growers buy is marked up because vendors and websites know its for ganja. I will say this, i used mylar for 2 grows and its a pain in the ass. its very delicate and you cant mist your plants or anything if its in your grow room, its practically uncleanable. Its reflective as all hell tho, but annoying as all hell too. I would go with IR shield(will raise ur temps a lil tho) or just plain white paint... Don't get me wrong mylar is great, it just isnt durable at all...

Yes she does have alot of buds sites bro. Thanks for that info about how much of a pain in the azz mylar is, tin foil is a pain in the azz as well. May I ask what is a IR shield? Never mind I'll just google it...lol

I'm sure your seeds will come soon enough bro. I'm really axious to get my hands dirty and learn how to clone. I've watched every youtube video on it and read many articles/journals about how to clone. Maybe I will get my chance this week I hope...
