I’d say that’s way better.

Very interesting, never heard of “Nute splash” but makes sense.... I’m careful but some leaves do get wet when I feed. I’ll be more careful.

Thanks!

As for the critters I haven’t seen anything. I have a little “phone scope” that you clip on to the phone camera and I scoured a few leaves. Nothing. Mostly bits of the coco that I guess get kicked up by the fans.

Man, they look soooo much better today. Awesome! Plants in general tend to respond to care and attention. I grow tomatoes(garden tomatoes > all) every year and I have seen people just give up on plants that just need a little bit extra of it. They think if every plant gets the same water, at the same time with the same nutes etc.. if one fails, it's the plants fault. If you take a little bit of time and with love, you can solve just about anything. Then it's nobodies fault.

Glad it's all working out !

So true. I have to say I’m thoroughly enjoying the growing experience. Such an impressively resilient plant.

Little before and after photo shoot for the ladies. Fed 24hrs ago and they just perk right up.

Left out grow and only did half the CalMag this time around. Worried about them maybe getting too much Nitrogen. We’ll see how they react.

I say never give up. These are amazing plants and they will bounce back if you take the time effort to fix whatever is wrong. These forums/guides and these people are an amazing resource not to be wasted. Hope my Veg plants bounce back like NL1 did!

Autos definitely don't like to be stressed. With the shortened growth cycle, every day is important. Yours seemed to have bounced back pretty well. It was probably better that it happened so early. Next run if you can avoid any issues they'll be even better. There's always something. That's part of what drives me. Searching for that perfect grow.

For sure. What a learning experience. I’ll gladly admit I was completely naive as to how much work and care goes into these plants. Can’t wait for round two grow but I still got work to do. Gotta keep my head in the game and stay focused! Doesn’t mean I can’t start planning a DWC grow!

I operate on the KISS principal and am a firm believer in mastering a growing style before moving on to another. I've seen numerous members hopping from soil, to soil-less, to hydroponic, and every grow is like their first. It's my contention that if they'd stuck with one style they'd have had better results and more bud in jars.

You said it perfect, in search of that perfect grow.

Those are looking great GG. I just smoked some of my NL from my first grow. The fruits of your labour will be smooth and not yellow, but mellow....

I agree with this in principal but damn is it hard to do. I just swapped from soil less to DWC, and Green helped me get it rolling. My issue was I had a real hard time developing a strong root mass in promix, I just felt like I wouldn’t be able to break through that barrier.

Green is in deep, and with his level of perfection he’s only a few grows from monster colas.

Well fed the ladies last night. Same recipe as last feed. Took some shots of the stalk and what it looks like after our LST. This actually leads me to a question. I’ve heard of taking off the lower foliage to redirect nutrients up to the buds getting more light. Looking at the density of these plants should I be removing more of the lower, smaller Bud sites? Leaves? Small or only large?

Thoughts?

There is truth to all the reasons you stated in favor of cleaning up the growth that will never reach the canopy, but now that you are in flower the timing is wrong. Now is when you can stress the plant, and I would no longer feel comfortable advising you to do it. Next time, do that clean up about a week before you go into flower.

@Emilya,

That’s what I find so tricky with Auto’s. The plant is often flowering so quickly that defoliation isn’t even fully needed.

Just my experience
