@Asesino85 is the great mind behind it and I hope he stops by to straighten the butchering I'm about to tell ya. Take a photo plant and top it after it has at least 7 nodes back down to the 5 th one. Remove all other growth under the 4 th node. Now take and pin those 2 sets of nodes down too look like an X trying to keep them at the same height. Now you just let everything grow off that base. You keep removing anything that's blocking bud sites and everything under the canopy. Stop by and look over his plants or Dobewan. His journal is Ase's Multi-strain Quadlining in Coco. He has a great feed schedule too.Ok, I don't play in the dirt so you've lost me with "quad." What does that refer to?

I hope I didn't screw that up too bad. LolWhat he said ^^
Made perfect sense to me. Mainlining, quadlining, pinwheeling, all different takes on training.I hope I didn't screw that up too bad. Lol
Exactly. Just setting up the plants base to grow off of and keeping the plants resources going only to where it's needed. All other growth is done away with.Made perfect sense to me. Mainlining, quadlining, pinwheeling, all different takes on training.
I have literally just started doing this to my babies! I saw it on asesino85's journal aswell. Man's got some skills.@Asesino85 is the great mind behind it and I hope he stops by to straighten the butchering I'm about to tell ya. Ahhh thats where I went wrong. I thought mine looked a bit high... Oh well Id already topped her before I stripped her mine will just be slightly higher. Ive got long enough stakes/ties to keep em stretched out shouldnt be a problem. It seems like the most common approach is to let it get to 5-6, to remove nodes 1 and 2 and to grow out nodes 3 and 4. But your approach would work too.
Otherwise spot on.
Id like to know that aswell?I always like to top sooner than later and leave all the nodes I can.... (I if I want nodes 3 and 4 I top after 5 forms). Is there a benefit to cutting off more of the plant???
My lens was supposed to be delivered today.... but nothing yet. I'm sure by Saturday. Can't wait to start the close ups in a few weeks
My first few plants I would just pinch the 4th node as if it was a race. By letting the plant get a little stronger (7 th node) it seems that it rebounds quicker and the 4 & 5 node are closer to the same size by then to create your XI always like to top sooner than later and leave all the nodes I can.... That light is craaazy. I got one that does that. Im lying its a shitty metal shade where the bulb has bent away from the shade so i have to have it slightly angled or itll burn a top lolA picture of how I can flex my light to keep it evenly over my canopy.
It flexes more but this ones loaded up already
Thanks bilbobudkin. I really like my light. Just seeing if it gets me to the end of this grow for a full grow with just it.That light is craaazy. I got one that does that.
