Derbybud Does CBD Strains In Coco & More

In coco I run 5.8-6.2 ph and seedlings I rarely go over 300-350ppms of nutrients at first. Give a little bloom formula when they're small, once or twice should start them off on the right foot.

Co-sign pw. Of course I do since he taught me a lot of what I know!

Honestly Derby they have the “burnt” look I’ve seen from that photo you posted. It’s weird though because I attributed it in my case to not letting the city water stand, and you use a RO system right? The other time I had a similar look was 2nd half flower, when I was having P/K issues. Couldn’t be that at this point.

I’m surprised you get the pH “creep” like I do with the RO - I figured my pH crept up as the composition of my water changed as it sat for a few days.

Have you been checking the runoff rH and PPM? If nothing else it’ll give you more information to work with.

Also it’s not something simple like mixing nutes in the wrong order is it, locking some piece out? Can’t recall if you’ve tried plain water or distilled water the first couple of weeks as well to see how that works out?

I stopped using RO water because I getting crazy deficiency like issues when I switched to tap and adjusted my nutes to the tap the issues went away.

I bet after one more feed at 1 ec his plant will look like a brand new plant. I had the same thing happening to me, until I upped my nutes and the plant grew 25% in a matter of a day or two. Coco requires higher feeds than DWC or other inert mediums because it retains salts almost too well, hence the need for 150 ppm of cal mag always

Because less is not always more ;).

Adding 150ish PPM of CalMag was a major difference maker for me when I was learning feeding.

I know the soil folks love to be able to feed and then walk away for days - I love being able to tinker with coco every day and correct mistakes quickly.

Maybe Derby could try plain water every few days to avoid burning from salt buildups? I did plain water on the 4th day my first grow and most of my second. The plants definitely seem to prefer consistency of feeding with nutes every day, but if this issue continues maybe a plain water day every so often could help.

Dobe thanks for your input. I don't use RO water yet but may have to as my rain water is all frozen at the moment due to the weather. My tap is really crappie as in a ph of 8.7 and an EC of 1.1. My rain water with nothing in it usually checks ph of 7.1 and an EC of .03 - .04 so like 15-20 ppm. I have not checked my run off and looks like should consider doing that. I did run some rain water thru with nutes with a ph of 5.98 and an EC of 1.02. I'll see what happens as I flushed my coco again in new pots and pre charged with the same water as I'm planning on planting my girls out of the Dewey tomorrow.
I'm good about what nutes to put in first and I'm good with not leaving anything out as I've been writing everything down and in the order I put them in and I put everything on the counter and as I add them I put them in my container to take them back down to the basement.
I've heard that sometimes new tents can give off a gas that might not be helping out as that's the only difference as I have my new tent with this set up. I considered moving things over to my other tent but my drip pan requires 2 people and the wife's shoulder is still having problems but might have to tackle it myself and just deal with the consequences of tareing something on one of the tents. Built it a little too heavy.

Good thing about coco is you can run 1/4 strength nutes through it to reset if you have to. With your runoff you should be good. Is your humidity low right now?

That's just it I've never had this good of an environment as I have now. Rh is 60-70 and temps are 72-78f I bought a humidifier and running a small heater to keep things on target the last 2 weeks as the towels were hard to keep anything consistent

Yep stay with the stronger feed for another day or 2. I'm interested to see if the coco gal bounces back

Just feed AN nutes and calmag with no extra supplements and see what happens.

Lots of micro and cal mag I'm noticing in veg ? .

You got this derby .

Did you say you ran 1.0 e.c. thru that little girl? That would do it
