Derbybud Does CBD Strains In Coco & More

Got problems in my tent. Perfect temps perfect rh perfect ph. But plants don't grow our die in coco. Thinking might be some pests I can't see. Going to replant what's left in new coco and put sand in bottom and on the top surface. Heard somewhere that kills them by the sharpness of the sand cuts them little POS. It's got to get better than the last month or I'm thinking of taking some time off as this is just to stressful. Banging my head against the wall long enough
Ok let us cover all your bases. I just skipped back to your seedling feed strengths. I use ppm 500 scale. But your numbers seem low if my head math is correct. Normally is.

Have you rinsed the coco super well? Especially if I came in a brick. I run multiple gallons through just one little 1 gallon pot.

Are you making sure to water daily to significant runoff?

Those are the only things I can think of really.

Beware of sand on the bottom as it can block the drain holes. I always layer 1 to 3 inches of perlite on top of my coco as it will nix the bugs no sand needed .

Derby I hope we can get this sorted, any chance of getting pics up tonight?

I'll get some pictures on in a little while. Not been feeling the greatest. Didn't even go out last night with Lopin and my wife for new years. Was out in the weather too long in the cold. Ended up with the shakes and just feeling all over like crap. Doing better to day. Out to take care of the horses as its -6f this morning. Frozen water and hungry horses with over 4 inches of snow.

Ok sadly to say this is the only plant I have left in coco. My single WW photo that broke surface on Dec 6.

The only ones doing any good are the ones in the cloner and they need transplanted and I'm worried that the same will happen with them if I put them in the coco

Hope you’re feeling better soon derby.

Get a good look at a little bugger if you can. Any bug damage visible on the leaves?

My bugs were a result of my plants not running off the water effectively. Put the pots on wire stands and my bugs disappeared. I had springtails which were not really a big deal.

Pick up some sticky traps and see if you can catch some bugs in the sticky traps too. If nothing else that’ll give you something to identify.

What are you feeding what’s in coco? My experience learning the ropes for feeding in coco was that it’s hard to give the plants too little of something at this stage, but way easier to give them too much. Ase and PW both recommended me simplifying feeding when I ran into issues. A mild 1-1-1 mix should be fairly safe for your plants if you suspect a feeding issue.

Occasionally I see a couple of nats is all. But I've lost some 15 seeds now in the coco. I put out taps a get a few nats is all. Just very frustrating and don't want to transplant the ones put oit of the Dewey into something that will just kill them

It looks overfed, if that can be possible at that stage. I'm sorry for such a raw deal here but DD had a great suggestion with a mild mix. Also, can't you just start your seed in the coco and see if that works too? Your little girls are rockin' the water, I wonder if they prefer the water if they start off in water. Do you think the medium is a drastic change for transplant since they started there? I'm learning so much from this DB, you will take off when you find the correct ROOT to take.

That small plant should be getting near 1 Ec of feed. I think what we are seeing is the seedling eat itself because there is 0 nutrients in coco. In fact coco holds salts like calcium and mag.

Did you rinse your coco thoroughly? They are notorious for coming salty, usually they require a full flush to be inert enough for planting!

I'm feeding everyday a real close 1-1-1 to 10-20% run off. This worked so well with my autos. Just doesn't seem to have any root development that I can see. My autos I never got much over an 1.2 EC the whole grow and one plant continued to show that it was getting too much nitrogen so to say this seedling needs over 1 EC at this stage I'm not quite sure.

Coco was flushed in fall and again when I put it I pots I run again at least 1 gal thru solo cup. I always then precharge about a 1/2 gal of what I'm feeding at .35EC at 5.7 ph

I've never spent so much time and effort to keep environment and things in line. The Dewey is thriving with the same feed mix and is doing great but need transplanted and that's my worry into the coco that has giving me problems.
