I used the airwick spray things that are like $5 before the scrubber got here. It was the only way to keep up with my skunky girl. I have not tried anything elseso hopefully some one else will chime in.

i use them plug in air fresheners, they seem to do the trick, i also use them gel things that you just put on the shelf, and if its a hot day and i did notice a smell i use the jos sticks or incense sticks and light one of them, they dont smell to good but it stops any smell, so far i dont suffer that much with the smell, but then i have always smoked bud in my place so i know for a fact that smoking a few joints stinks the place out way more than the plants do, so i dont think its much of a problem yet, if it does get to bad ill use a carbon filter, but at the minute im managing with plug in fresheners and air fresheners on the side, its managed to keep the smell down, but if you smoke bud in the place you grow then that smells worse than the plants do,
 
Indeed, indeed. Though i love the smell of marijuana. I think its great. They should make a bud scented febreeze. Lol.
The smell isnt a problem for me. But the dreaded day the landlord shows up for his usual inspection. There can be no sign what so ever of MJ. So i ref need to mask the smell.

young man, if the man shows up to inspect you better have a very secret garden. they dont just inspect your closet and that would suck ALOT if they walked in your grow area! I want you to do very good so be prepaired for the gas, cable, and the telephone guys too!:circle-of-love:
 
Well i know he calls before he leaves his house to come to ours. So that gives me time to unplug overhead cords coming from the door. And the fan cord that's under the door. And to pile some old toats and such in front of the door. And spray and spray and spray. :)
 
i agree, people usually turn up when you least expect it, my landlord is the council so they only come when their is problems so im ok when it comes to that, its just the gas and electric people i need to watch out for but they only come to check the meters every 6 months so im ok with them, its just if i ever have a water leak or things like that, because if i was out and i had a water leak then the council can come in and fix the leak without me being their, and with my grow door open they would see everything so i always check for leaks and stuff, and saying that i did actually find one, my toilet water pipe was leaking so i had to fix that before it cause a problem.

but on the plus side the local council dont go through cupboards and stuff like that so im ok with that side of it, its just water leaks and gas leaks they would break in to fix, its not like a landlord that can check everywhere its like an housing association type deal, where they own loads of properties and give them to people who need them, so all been well i should be ok with them

as for the bud scented febreeze, they dont do that but i did buy some marajuana incent sticks, light them and burn them and it smells just like a faint smell of cannabis, my nan had them in her cupboard about 10 years ago and i found them, never knew she liked the smell, never knew she even knew what it was, maybe she didnt and she just wanted some air fresheners, chances are thats why they was in the bottom of the cupboard
 
in the bottom of my grow cupboards i use small square plastic air freshener things, got them from poundland, 3 in a pack its like a layer of gel in a piece of plastic so i have 6 of these in the bottom of my grow room, and then i have them gel air fresheners around the flat, but those plug in ones are about the best i have found, just use a different smell in each room so it smells different in each part of where you live, ive got 6 plants in full flower and about 12 seedlings and clones in the veg room, and i dont notice any smell, not even when i been out all day and i get back in, the air fresheners keep it in check, plus i have all my windows open and have a good breeze running through the flat so the smell is minimul, that is till i roll a fat one and have a smoke before bed, then the place stinks, no air freshener will mask the smell of a few joints been smoked,

try not to spray to much as he may think your masking the smell, get something you can glue together when he comes then just before he turns up use some strong smelling glue to glue something together, then that way it smells like glue and he can see your doing something, so get yourself a new hobby like model building and have it put away till he calls, then when he calls get it out and start to glue like crazy, it then smells like glue and dont look like your trying to hide anything, im sure he has come across grows before and how to tell when someone is growing, air freshener every time he comes might get him looking further than he should
 
yep, they dont always call first, they can turn up anytime, gas inspection, or fire service inspection, can land anytime, its the risk we take,
