I got up and immediately ate a piece of banana nut bread and I don’t think I should have done that. I can’t seem to get out of my recliner now. Oh well seems like a good day to find a good movie if there is such a thing anymore but I’m certainly not going to get anything else done……

But I saw your post about making gummies and having to stir like crazy only to find it separates. I too had that problem until I saw a post by @Carcass, who mentioned the trick is to remove the pan from heat and stir while it cools slightly. Soon it gets to a point where it thickens a bit, and the oil looks to be mixing in. That is the sweet spot! Then I pour into a condiment squeeze bottle and use that to squirt into the molds. Just made a batch last week and it turned out pretty good.

But I saw your post about making gummies and having to stir like crazy only to find it separates. I too had that problem until I saw a post by @Carcass, who mentioned the trick is to remove the pan from heat and stir while it cools slightly. Soon it gets to a point where it thickens a bit, and the oil looks to be mixing in. That is the sweet spot! Then I pour into a condiment squeeze bottle and use that to squirt into the molds. Just made a batch last week and it turned out pretty good.

Thank you very much…I’m going to make some RSO which I think will be much easier to work with. The coconut mess is nothing I ever want to try again….
I went to the liquor store the other day and got some 190 proof rot gut that should work well. I kinda freaked in the liquor store cause the bottle of Everclear even says for extractions on the bottle and it’s not like this is a legal state in any way but I’m going to try to make it in my Magical Butter machine then just reduce it down. My hubby always made it for me the old fashioned way cause tbh I’ve always been a bit nervous doing it. I’m afraid I’ll burn down the house and he always did it in the barn and that’s not a place I’ll ever be hanging out. Last time I was in there I saw 4 snakes hanging from the rafters. They don’t bother hubby however I’m scared to death of snakes so I bought a new MB machine that will do that part for me. The original ones were set to high to work. It’s lowest temp is 160 the new ones 130 so hopefully I can get as good a quality as he used to make for me cause I’ve been tacking his for years and it’s kept me off Interferon for MS…..which I refuse to take ……

I assume it looks like cat litter to you because there’s quite a bit of perlite in my mixture. It does have bat poop and compost in it so I don’t know but it’s not cat litter. Wouldn’t it be nice if it was that easy… The complete recipe for my soil is listed a couple of pages back…...

Dude my soil doesn’t look like cat poop… are you talking about the clay balls I top my potted up girls with? I use that to help me water my girls with out putting indentions in the soil. That too is to help with the MS. When I don’t use them I get huge holes of water in my soil cause my hands can’t move the water jug evenly across the pots……

You’ve gotta be talking about the clay balls because my soil is beautiful and it does not look like cat poop you’ve got me freaking out over here…..

I put rocks on top of mine like she does. Keeps water from piling up on on side and go thru bag like nothing. And dirt doesn't get wet. Water displacement. How we keep plants like we do. U can see in my journals same style growing. There reason why old growers do things. Simple and easy. Also we don't have bunch yellow leaves all time like most. U pour water on a plant and doesn't spread out chemicals go to one spot and burn the roots.

Exactly right my brother…. Had me all freaking out. I got to thinking Titty Tat must have gotten in my soil so I went and checked… actually got out of my recliner to go check cause you know with her nothing is impossible and she loves getting in my grow stuff. She’s always eaten the leaves I pinch off and will attack you if you won’t give them to her. You know she’s not a particularly nice kitty but he’s gotta be talking about the clay balls………..
