The Black Jack was potted up to a 1 gallon pot of Fox Farms Oceans Forest and Happy Frog and watered with 100 ml of purified water......

High Dennise , I have gotten way behind on reading my subbed journals, been trying to catch up.. seems nothing has changed here..lol, your thumb is still as green as ever or greener...how many do you have growing right now ?
Remember me asking you how.often you watered pro mix.....well I am only watering once a week because of the poor drainage which surprised me, I thought it would be the opposite....I was getting low on my pro mix, the bag I got would fill three 5 gallon pots with some left over.. I was out of pro mix so went to hydro store and the worker advised me to get Sunshine advanced growing mix...haven't used it yet but supposed to drain better than pro mix per worker. I'm sorry if I missed it but are you still using pro mix ??
Another question. Do you ph your water before you water or feed them ??....I haven't been but per clerk
Shoot! Seems like I had another question but forgot...good thing , enough already !!!!! Dennise, thanks for all your help !!
Well now Lady Dee, I've just about given up on my B2B bean. I think that hi-jacked bag of NYC Compost/Mulch mix is headed for the trash. That's 3 beans in a row with decent taproots that haven't sprouted in it. At least the other two beans were ones from a harvested plant of mines. I'll keep you updated to when I'll be ready for that side by side again.Lastly the B2B
the bold above means it's got a time release fertilizer that can &/or will release a load nutes that you have NO control over .Hi Granny, I looked up the product because we used to use thousands and thousands of compacted bales of this for greenhouse production, but it certainly was not as good as what this says it is. They must have gone into more of a product line than they had back in the 70s - 90s. Here is what is in your potting mix Sunshine:
Peat moss and coconut fiber retain water and nutrients for optimal plant growth, combined with increased perlite to provide excellent drainage. The organic nutrient package provides a supplemental charge after three to four weeksand the endomycorrhizal blend enhances the ability of plants to access the nutrients in the root zone.
Balanced: proper pH range to improve nutrient availability
Water Works: organic wetting agent to help soil absorb water quickly and easily
Bio-Active: multiple strains of mycorhizzae for optimum root colonization, improved nutrient and water uptake,
better resistance to stress and disease
No-Burning: inert formula accommodates custom feeding practices with no conflicting nutrients or burn risk
Peat Moss: "nature's sponge" holds up to 30 times its weight in water, keeping it readily available for plant uptake
Coconut Coir: a natural water-holding ingredient providing on-demand moisture
Perlite: maintains air space for optimum root growth
Superior Value: Eco-compressed bales fluff to about twice the labeled volume (1 cu ft bale provides about 2 cu ft of usable soil)
What I don't like is they do not list the ingredients in the mix if it has fertilizer in it already. What is the nutrient package? That's my question. If it's from rock powders and/or natural resources, it looks pretty decent to me. I found it online for 35 for a compacted bale.
Yeah some companies use waste products + sewage sludge & call those natural & organicIt doesn't always mean it is time released. If it does not list the active ingredients on the bag, I don't buy it. Period, the end.
So I agree with what you are saying, sort of.
I just cover it all. No ingredients, no buy.

Is not sewage sludge about as 'organic' as it can get?
P.S. i know it is not(after all some of the stuff I have flushed down the toilet LOL), just making a smart-ass joke
GrannyT, how big are your plants? if 5 gallon pots and plants are not big may only have to water every few weeks. I using ProMix in 20 and 25 gallon pots and have to water almost every day, but plants are 5-6 feet tall and bushy.
