Deege420 Outdoor Garden

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

Looking good Dude! :thumb:

I see you have fences around the plants now. Forgive me is I missed a post about that, but were you having some "critter" problems? Deer perhaps?

Deer, Skunks and Raccoons have been a problem for us in the past, but after installing some rear perimeter lighting with motion sensors, that seems to scare them off from coming down as far as the garden areas.

Either way, fencing in your crop is a good idea when growing outside if you can manage it! :thumb:

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

Looking awesome how far along are they into flowering?

Thanks man :) well the 3 autos are the only in flowering right now. They have been flowering for about 2-3 weeks now. And another 2-3 weeks to go. The other 5 non autos won't flower till september. The big one sprouted soil march 1st. so 6-7 months of veg it will be. I can't wait to see how large it gets! The mr nice #2 sprouted about a month and a half ago and the other 3 Mango, Afghan kush X skunk, and northern lights X skunk were planted prob about 3 weeks ago :Namaste:

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

loving the pics mate, congrats on the nice plants, cant wait till mine get to that stage, my slow auto that i was going to pull up and throw in the bin just wont stop growing, its in flower, but it grew really slow from day one and didnt go into flower until 7 weeks or more, now it seems that its started to flower and this to is very slow, the growth is rapid but the actual flowering part is slow, it seems the plant just wants to keep growing, i am going to have to re-pot it me thinks, i wonder if the auto i got was not a indica with ruderalis, what if the auto i got was a cross from the indica ruderalis crossed till seeded, then the seeds grown so its 50 auto 50 indica, so im wondering if they then grew this 50 50 , and crossed the female 50 50 with another indica so in theory it would be 75% indica and 25% ruderalis, im wondering if you could keep breeding it out like this so that the plant has a longer growing time but will also flower under any schedule, to me this sounds like it could be a good idea, if i had more room id try crossing and seeing what happens, its give me something to think about, might need to order me some more autos, so i can have a male auto and fem none auto, and then cross the off spring from them to and see what happens, or maybe im just to stoned and thinking way more than i should be,

either way, great pics mate, i cant wait till mine are further along, i need to sort out the smell, my place stinks real bad,

Thanks man! and no that doesn't sound crazy at all. Anything possible really haha. But on the breeding note, Im going to be starting to breed autos in the very near future. gna wait till these are done then one more go. then gonna make start crossing some strains :Namaste:

I was having a Dog problem, lol The other ones, if you can notice are propped up somehow so the little wiener can't reach it haha. And this one was basically put in the ground so is very accessible for the dogs, so I can't have that. I just threw that fence up and can almost picture it shooting out over the sides in september..... :)

Thanks for stopping by though! hope to see you around here more brotha! :Namaste:

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

my dreams are coming true miwa. lol yes I think she's gonna be VERY large. she grew like 3 inches in 4 days since the addition of the 10 gallon pot. :) She's happy, needing a lil nutes, but she got ALOT of rain in the past 2 days so I'm gonna have to wait a bit before the nutes. Very happy with her. :Namaste: thanks for stopping by again!

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

look forward to the breeding results mate, if i got some pollen before my 2nd auto gets to far in flower then ill seed a couple of the branches, but ill remove the auto from flower room to another room in my flat and pollenate it their, well out the way from the other plants, then ill leave it in that room in its own for 24 hours and then give it a good spray down the next day so any pollen left on the plant will not be viable then it can go back into the flower room, im hoping to cross the auto with a non auto, the grow a fem from that and cross it with another none auto, so its sort of pushing the auto gene slightly out, this may make the autos grow longer before switching to flower, and if this is possible then these autos could get really big and be grown under 20-4 all the way giving the plant the best chance of getting really big, where as now they seem to get 2 or 3 inches high then show sex and flower from their, im hoping it wont wipe the auto gene away with breeding it like that, but if it did then all it would mean is getting some pollen from another auto thats been bread with none auto and slowly bring the gene back in, send me a slap if im not making sense, im starting to get confused myself now

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

its going to be a monster thats for sure, id get stocking up on the nutes, its gona take a whole lot of feeding, i bet that plant is drinking loads, im wondering if the 10gallon pot is big enough, you could end up with an 8ft plus plant height wise and 8ft wide, you really will need some stakes to tie the buds to so it dont make the branches break under the weight, i think you may need a bigger fence as well, if its anything like the plants i seen in jorge cervantes dvd then their going to be huge, it took him a good 30 seconds to walk around this one monster plant it was huge, your going to need some rain protection later on down the line, you aint gona want getting them big buds wet, you wouldnt pick them they would be so heavy, lol

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

no slaps don! +reps for the experimentation mate. I love it. As i get better at growing it makes me interested in the more advanced things and even discovering something new! like u could potentially do. I mean Im sure someone, somewhere has tried this before. If they had success, I don't know. But soon I will I guess. Because of great people like you. I can't wait till you get into that. And I can't wait to start crossing my favorite strains! I like autos cuz they are such a great way to hold me over till the big girls to come in :) Good Luck in EVERYTHING you do man!

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

That thing will be one huge single plant scrog by September!!:bravo::high-five:

Congrats!! Keep it up!!

Thanks bud! But I'm not sure If I'm going to do a scrog yet. I may have to put netting over it eventually for support. But I just don't know yet. Only time will :Namaste:

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

im just trying to think of ways of increasing the yield or veg time by a couple of weeks, this way it could still be grown under veg lights or where i live it could be grown outside, so the longer veg time would increase the yield, but it would still flower at anytime of the year given the right temps, some of the ruderalis grow up in the mountains at lower temps so it could be something i could work with out doors, just need to find the right spot first, i got 2 plants out doors now and their ok, if all goes well and they dont get swiped or eaten then ill risk doing some more, i just planted regular seeds for now as a sort of test, but if it all goes well then i could plant an auto or 2, only time will tell my friend

Yes I need to stock up on the nutes! haha my quart container aren't gonna cut it. lol The plant drinks SO MUCH DON! I feed 5 gallons and 2 days later is wilting for more! So this rain really helped me catch up on my watering. For the past 3 weeks I've been doing the (let her tell me when she wants food) technique. I don't think the 2 inch method applies to me anymore...

On the pot: Its not just a 10 gallon. The top pot is 15 gallons, and the pot under it (under ground) is anotherr 10 gallon pot. I think she will be good in this 25 gallons :thumb:

As for the fence: I have a lot more of it, and its only a matter of moving the stakes wider apart to make it bigger. No biggie. My rain protecter is HUGE so if anything I make it stand a little taller by adding pvc. But as for light rains, no worries, Ill just shake the buds dry, Ill buy some bamboo sticks for support.

Jorge Cervantes is an AMAZING GROWER, and has some SERIOUSLY LARGE PLANTS! He's a hero to me. For you to even bring him up when talking about my plants is a great honor. but Im sure he would laugh at my plants and tell me "no no no, its all wrong" lol In his old, soft, humble, stoner sounding voice.

So yea I have most of all this in mind. and I will continue to do W.E it take to create a monster. Im on the right track, just got to stay focused and keep her happy.

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

you got the pot size covered then, im sure cervantes would love your plants, their well on their way to been as big as the ones i seen in his dvd, yours could possibly be bigger with all the grow time left, i wish i lived somewhere a bit warmer where i could grow outdoors, or without having to hide it somewhere, but till then ill hide them where i can and grow the rest in doors, all a risk but its my health im looking out for, and if thats what works for me then why shouldnt i be able to self medicate, its saves the government money as their not paying for my meds, its a win win, for now. when i watch cervantes i often think he is not all clues up about it, he talks just like we would talk without all the technical jargon, its good to watch his dvds, i probably learned more off his grow bible than i did from any of the books i got hold of, he talks plain english without it being to complicated, i think anyone starting to grow should check his dvds out, he covers everything, and i mean everything, the dvd i watched had chymera on it wearing a lions mask, not sure if you seen that one, but thats where i found out about the gauna and sheep crap for a veg tea and guano and lama crap for flower tea, also covered hash making in a very easy lesson,
