Deege420 Outdoor Garden

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

sounds like you getting into these autos my friend, i am also ordering some for my next round, id love to do some outdoors but would hate for anyone to find them, but it might happen before much longer, its so hot here the last few days and more to come, to hot for me, i prefer the cold weather, you can put more clothes on when you hot, but even striping of bollock naked dont cool you down, not that i go round doing that, i might try doing what my dog does, finds the nearest river and lies down, then he decides he dont want to move so i spend the next half hour shouting at him to get his lazy ass out the nice cool refreshing water and get back up here on the nice hot path, do you think he listens no he dont, ill get some wellies and walk in after him, that will surprise him cuz im sure he does it on purpose, he seems to know when im on the way home and thats when he goes deaf and ignores me, even when i put the lead on he just lies down and dont move, i end up dragging him before he gives in, but if im walking the other way away from home he runs in front and drags me their, even when we have walked for 3 or4 hours he seems to know when im wanting to go home.

looking forward to all these autos your getting mate, its gives me some idea of over all yields across the range, i am interested in autos, but when my g13 didnt grow i thought they was bad idea, but after the lst work its grown about 1 foot tall and has got 5 x 1foot branches, my other auto has just shown sex its about 3 inches high, but i cant lst this one, the nodes are so close and it would just snap, but this is growing better than the other one and the lower branches are level with the top of the plant so think this one is going to be ok

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

i tell you something out of all my plants and including the 2 big ones well into flower, the only one that stinks is the auto thats just shown sex the greenhouse auto bomb stinks my place out, now its summer here it goes outside at 2am when the lights go off in veg room so it goes on my balcony, and then i get the sun till dinner time, so at 12 it goes under the hps so its getting sunlight then hps and a 4 hours of cfls and its the only plant that i can smell, if its outside or not in my veg room then i smell nothing, as soon as i put it in veg cupboard my room stinks of sum dank bud, im hoping to have a contest contender out of these buds, problem is would they post all them prizes out to me outside the usa, i doubt it so not much point entering, but ill still give it a try and if i ever win ill donate it to the person i think has helped me and others the most and who would really benefit from it

i also found a great site to watch trailor park boys online, its got all seasons from 1 to 7 and all the episodes it says their is even a movie of it

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

congrats on the post count,, nice round number to get to, im collecting the items needed as we speak, the family bag you had was oranges wasnt it, check this link out and if it can do this to normal veg then it can only be pure magic for these plants

compare the size of these veg so if feeding the soil makes veg turn out like that then imagine what we can do with some tea like mmp, cant wait till i got all the ingredients and its brill you can use nutrients on top as well,

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

so yesterday before the storms cam I put all my plants under my rain protector. Went out today and leaf miners WENT TO TOWN :(

I know everyone is against it on autos especially, But I want to try something out on this purple auto. Its not getting any taller and just swelling. Something has been wrong with this one so i decided to do some defoliation. Prob not a good idea. But so many bug bites I figured mine as well get rid of them so the bugs have nothing to eat since the plants already getting just as stressed with the bug bits everyday. So I'm gonna go ahead and try it out for myself and see if things don't turn out alright. Its basically like a lollipop nug now. No branch growth really either. SO now the buds will get SUBSTANTIAL light. And i know it stressed it but the bugs have been stressing it anyway.... I also have been sticking my autos in the camper with exhaust fan on and another two fans blowing too for when it storms real bad (rain season here) pictures on the way.

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

yea they suck. and I've been doing a lot to prevent. Seems to be mainly miners and grasshoppers. Ill get it under control though. Just gna start bringing the autos inside at night. What does everyone think of what I've done to purple?

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

seems a few of us are getting these bug problems, i had 2 of these little flies on my fly paper not sure what they are really small flies but the legs look to big for them, im thinking fruit fly or fungus gnat, not sure though,

looks good mate, liking the pics, one solid bud and im sure it will pack on loads of weight during the next couple of weeks, will be very interesting to see how this turns out, my auto just wont stop growing now, its getting on about 1ft tall and has 5 branches at that height, the actual stem of the plant is 5 inches, but after my lst work all the lower branches went crazy and shot up in size, to nearly a foot, might need to put it in bigger pot me thinks

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

I still think it will bulk up quite a bit. The defoliation looks good, 420fied heavily defoliates on day 21 & 45 and it doesn't seem to have any ill effects on his yield, he claims he has tested it and it actually improves yield!

Leaf miners suck, I had them on my first grow and they were annoying as hell! They didn't really effect the buds but made my leaves look really ugly. If you have an extra $20 go get a bottle of Azamax or Azatrol. They are both very effective for pest control and can be applied as a foliar or soil drench if you have soil-borne pests. Ever since I started using it I haven't had a single leaf miner or caterpillar problem.

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

does 420ified also defoliate on his autos? If thats the case, I'm going to do the other 2 lol I have always heard it stunts the growth and leaves with less yield. but I went ahead and did it anyway. Would be nice to know that someone else does this too

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

@Stoned, im getting little flies in my soil, not sure if their fruit fly or fungus gnats, ive got fly papers up, is their anything you would recomend for them, something easy to get and use, my plants are also well in flower

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

yea the leaf miners really make stuff look ugly. and I'm sure they are putting daily stress on the plants. gonna look into azamax and azatrol. i know you've told me this stuff before but i neglected to listen :x and got pyrethrin which is highly recommended by a lot of growers. but isn't doing the trick.Does azamax or azatrol come concentrated? do you have to add dish soap or any of that? or just like 2ml per gallon of water type stuff?

re: Deege420 Outdoor Garden

id go for the root drench with the azamax or azatrol. I keep hearing of this stuff. Im gna have to get it. I just don't like my current deal because I have SNS root drench, pyrethrin with 2 drops of dish soap and then I have my compost tea (drench and foliar) anddd i have my spider mite spray. just seems like entirely too much to be applying to the plants daily. I imagine azamax or azatrol covers it all?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't grow autos but I wouldn't see how it would effect it differently. If anything I would just go a little lighter on the defoliation with autos since they have a shorter determined lifespan.

Fan leaves are important but so is light hitting bud sites so you have to find a happy medium. Try to remove the fans that shade the colas.

I've pretty much trimmed a plant naked and it was a full on bush two weeks later

@stoned, im getting little flies in my soil, not sure if their fruit fly or fungus gnats, ive got fly papers up, is their anything you would recomend for them, something easy to get and use, my plants are also well in flower

I can almost guarantee they are fungus gnats! They are very common and could of even been in the soil you purchased, MG & Roots are known for having infested soils.

The adults you see flying above ground don't really pose any threats since they live for such a short amount of time. The problem is they plant larvae in your soil that hatches and feeds on the roots before they emerge as adults.

I swear by Azamax & Azatrol. Even though they are expensive I like them because they are more of a broad spectrum killer versus a specific pest. Instead of getting several products for fungus gnats, spider mites, caterpillars, etc I just get one that takes care of all of them. They are OMRI certified and can be applied up to the day of harvest. Just give your plants a soil drench every 4-7 days to get rid of the fungus gnats. I think after about three doses they should be pretty much gone.

I still give foliar and soil drenches every two weeks even if I am pest free and I would recommend you do the same. Like most pesticides it is more effective when used to prevent infestations rather then exterminating existing infestations.

You can also top dress with a layer of Diatomaceous Earth (DE) to prevent fungus gnat & other soil-borne infestations. If you don't want to do both I would choose the Azamax/Azatrol over the DE

Diatomaceous earth (DE) is composed of the silicaceous fossilized skeletons of diatoms. Diatomaceous earth works by removing the waxes on the insect’s body and by absorbing oils and waxes on the outer cuticle.

Another way in which DE can kill insects is through desiccation or by rupturing or abrading the insect cuticle and causing extensive water loss. Insects typically pick up DE particles on their cuticle as they move.
