No they look fine was just trying to get an idea of how quick the happy frog drys out

im not good enough to deal with males so, i just get the feminized ones

I feel you on that one. I have 7 going right now and 4 of them are feminized :cheesygrinsmiley:

Re: Outdoor grow BPN

do you mean the leaves feel like they need water, well if you do then i noticed this with my indoor plants, then i realised that the only plants that fell like this where in direct breeze from the fan, since turning the fan off to get temps up the leaves feel alot better than they did, so it could be that the wind ir drying them out and humidity is relatively low, so they may need more water but dont over water as it can cause the same effect as not watering, so just bare that in mind, i must tell you this is from stuff ive read and not found out myself, as ive never grown outdoors, someone else will jump in and give some better advice im sure, but a good outdoor grower would be the best to ask, possibly grandpa mudp,

Re: Outdoor grow BPN

looking good mate, the topping is working all ready, and the lst is showing great results, i wish my plants could benefit from the sun, today it was raining outside but i took my plants out the room to have a tidy up and fit a new light and my new plant berry bomb was sitting on a window sill for about 25min, when i went back to put it back in grow room it had all ready turned to face the window, it really shows that even on a cloudy day these plants get loads from nature, i cant watit till i got a nice sunny day and my plants can they can go on balcony n have an hour or 2 in the sun,
your plants are clearly benefiting from the sun.

I always kind of liked this idea to donpaul but two things kind of worry me. The first one I don't know if it would matter or not, that is that switching the lighting between the CFL's/HID to the sun and back and fourth would be good for them. I really have no idea. The biggest thing that's on my mind when I think about it is introducing pests into the indoor garden, and I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be hard for it to happen. Just a thought!

I found out that u can do it that way bring them out for a few hours and then being them back in. It worked using CFL and sun, just makes sure its onluy a split second of darkness

In my experience of vegging indoors and placing outdoors, you have to harden the plant off for a week or so before placing it straight outside. I mean you can but in my experience the plant showed signs of stress by the leaves clawing and the margins curling upward.

So I harden them off by giving them 2 hours of sunlight the first day and increasing it by another 2 for a week and then they are ready to be fully outdoor.

However this was with CFL's which are really weak compared to the sun and HID's. I think with an HID, swapping a few hours with the natural sun would be beneficial since it wouldn't shock it that much and it would give some natural spectrum. CFL's on the other hand is quite a shock when you place them outdoors and would almost be a tease to put them back under IMO.
