Re: Outdoor grow BPN

and do you see the big leaf that was kinda above all the new nodes off the stem? well i took it and carefully tucked it behind, so now the stem will get 100% light tmmrw and should show substantial growth

Re: Outdoor grow BPN

Don't be afraid to tie it all the way down, you want the stem coming out of the soil vertically and then a 90 degree angle so the top is horizontal.

Here are some basic paint pics I whipped up really quick to give you an idea

In The top pic the green represents your plant and how it is leaning over to the side. The red is your LST Tie, and the dotted blue is how your plant should be.

The second pic represents your plant properly LST'd. The blue line is an optional tie or hook that you may need to support the base of the stem so the whole plant doesn't lean over when you use the red tie to tie it down further. Essentially you want a straight up plant with the top tied over instead of the whole plant leaning like it is now.

Re: Outdoor grow BPN

oh man. everyone telling me it looks great! when its all wrong.... idk i might just go back to stem strengthening idea. idk yet. this is tough decision i really need some help guys. can you guys help me out man. i just want to know THE BEST THING TO DO FOR HER. lol I'm like frustrated now cuz i thought everything was going good. but thanks for the feedback :Namaste:

Re: Outdoor grow BPN

I don't know. Personally I think healthy Outdoor plants stems will get plenty strong, between the months of veg and the wind. If you look at outdoor grows on youtube that have any decent amount amount of veg time, the stems get as thick as a soda can without any "stem training". LST is stem training in a since, but the point is to get multiple colas while keeping the plant a manageable height. Would you want a plant that you need a ladder to get to the top, but only yields half as much? Or a shorter plant that is a few feet in diameter that yields twice as much?

Lst'ing creates an even canopy so none of the buds fight for light, it also allows more airflow to decrease risk of budrot.

Thin stems can also be a genetic thing. The true OG can't support itself and needs to be tied and staked. Even outdoor plants that have massive tree trunks have trellis nets, bamboo stakes, or some sort of support because the buds just get too heavy.

Re: Outdoor grow BPN

well have u seen gramps plants stoned4dze? I'm so torn in two directions.........
i have 4 other outdoors 3 sprouted and one coming so i will try different things. but as for this one I'm gonna LST it. ill wait to decide others

Re: Outdoor grow BPN

Looks MUCH better :thumb:

Now you will really see those lower nodes reach up for light since all the auxins are redistributed to all the branches instead of just the top node.

What two directions are you torn on?

The plant is very forgiving and can take a lot before anything irreversible happens.

If your deciding if you want to LST,Top,Fim,etc you can do it all

You can still top a plant that has been LST'd
You can still LST a plant that has been topped
You can still do both to a plant that has been Fimmed or vice versa

I don't know if your catching my drift but it is all personal preference. What works best for me or Gramps may not work best for you. I say experiment, try different techniques on your others and compare at the end which works best for you.

Re: Outdoor grow BPN

Well i cant wait to see what this BPN does, i hear so much about it i might try it if MMP plant responds well to it ;)

It's great stuff. I'm using the organic Farmers pride pack as well. Can't beat a full organic line of 7 products for $75. The smell is very strong but you get used to it, I'm thinking about trying out the synthetic 2-part or 3-part for my DWC

Plus the owner corey is a sponsor for this site and always contributes very helpful info on this site.
