Dark Matter, Red Sky, Chunky Cherry Thai, BP Skunk In LOS

Daaamb Otter... (insert 'fire' emoji here)

Hey now, growing outdoors is great because there is an element of chaos...you can only do so much in the face of pests and weather and some of your responsibility in the grow is gone. In a tent it's all you and if you mess up...it's all you. Outside you can be like 'Welp, guess nature karma has other plans' and roll with it.
Hehe, hey Copper! I was wondering why I felt no pressure this grow, you're right. Nature... I better to remember the rules when I go back in, in the fall! Things are definitely different out here!

I'd say flowers are showing up this week on those sites. I hope so anyway!
I'm a little concerned that it's not going to finish up in time for you. :fingerscrossed:

That's a song playing in the background in my head too. Fingers crossed for sure! Van Stank got his to finish last year and he's a couple hours drive west of here so pretty much the same. I'm nearer the coast so I'll have a better chance of a later killing frost too maybe. We're going to find out!

HAPPY THURSDAY FLOWERING UPDATE !

Hey all :ciao: , we had some super hard rain for a few hours today. The Lady Stankberry held up well. A little time in the sun and no one will even know she was drenched to the heartwood.

All those bud sites look like they're about to fill up now. It's a week early to feed but since I see her transitioning and also I'm seeing a few inner, lower, large fans go yellow, I gave her a dose of Geoflora flower, overlapping the veg food by that week. Also, since this is in ground and I know not where my root zone ends, I added a cup (33%) more feed than starting out. There's a s88t ton of roots growing up from the top where I dress Geoflora and compost. So dense I had to sound through them with my rake tines to get water through! In a day or two I'll give her the trio, a mix of things to help fatten up those buds!
Here's how she looks today.
Roots galore.
Her Highness.

Some inner lower yellowing leaves.

And some future frosty buds.
Hope you all have a great day!

Wow, roots galore! She's gonna get real fun to watch once those flowers get going.

Highya SO,

Mine are doing that too. I don't take fan leaves off, so I'll let mine die off instead of stripping them off earlier. But, I will add a little nitrogen to slow down the yellowing. I haven't seen any roots like yours, probably because I keep adding more grass clippings, comfrey, etc. to the base. Your Stankberry Mama is doing great! Happy Vapin'

She looks stunning, Stone.

But wow, the nugget of info about overlapping the Veg with the Bloom was, as they say, priceless. :Rasta:

This is fricking EPIC man. I can't begin to imagine how much yield that beast is going to give you. Amazing job on overcoming weather and stuff too man. The roots!!! I've never grown outdoors but I know what a damn sweet ass plant looks like. Simply amazing.

Those roots are going nuts! I think the plant really loves getting rooted into the geoflora and compost I've been giving. I'm trying to keep that going!

Won't be long for those flowers!

Yeah, you're probably covering them up as you go. These got covered yesterday with compost, now I have to mow the lawn for some mulch cover. It took about a week for them to come through.

Well what the heck I thought. LOS has somewhat different rules for feeding so I took advantage. Not that I understand them all. :p

Do you even have the slightest idea what kind of yield she might give you? I mean, are we talking a two pound plant here or more?

We never know until the grow is done. Mother Nature may have other than good weather in mind. Bugs/blight of some sort, may be in store too. But if it's a good year and all goes well she could give at least one pound, maybe two. This is my third outdoor plant. One got a little over a pound and the other just under.

Wow. Can I see the other two plants in an old journal?

And that storm has a name... never a good thing when they are given names.
