Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Finally after a month and a half of twiddling my thumbs waiting for the sun set to be in the right place on the horizon, my DDA popped it's head up this morning. My 12th dark devil to date.

Day 29

Everything is going well. Both plants have stretched like crazy, growing around 12 inches in the last week. Adding around 24oz of ph'd water daily. Moving the light up every couple days to stay within the social distancing guidelines.

At this rate I might end up moving one plant out of the tent. Good problem to have I suppose.

I guess the stretch wasn't over after all. she's now at 28" and may finally be almost done growing up... time to get fat! been upping the mega crop and around 6g now, maybe a little less.

Edit: after comparing from last week, she's filling in nicely it appears.

The leaves are super dark green, more than the Golden tiger clone which is his become a monster if I don't do something to slow her down.

Wow, another week later and the tent is getting full! I have been moving the seedlings out to my porch for their final garden after up-potting but the weeds are filling in those spaces fast!

DDA is now at 30". I thought 28 was gonna be close to her limit, so who knows?!

GT clone got her head lopped off, and the lower leaves and branches plus the next two tallest tips were all eaten in a smoothie today. Yum! She's gonna be way too much for that 1 gallon bag so I may be up potting this weekend...but then what? Put her in the flower tent? hm. Perhaps?

Gelato is starting to really fill in her space now too. Maybe I grew her too early for my "perpetual?" Gonna have to get the hang of having 2 tents... Not sure I'm gonna have the space unless GT goes to the flower tent (or maybe I just put DDA in the flower tent and let her buds fatten up?).

Yes, that was a free seed I got from Herbie's in my first order. I've got like 20 different strains to plant now! LOL!:p:oops:o_O

Are you doing a journal which includes that plant? I’d like to see it grow out cause I’ve got a 5 pack.

My current journal in my signature is showing all the plants. I'm posting an update today...it's doubled in size in the last week! Just a few minutes (it will be on this page actually).

Not mandatory, but I do it. It doesn't stretch or decompose, and I don't want anything between my roots and my soil. I tear the bottoms open before I drop the seed in (to stop the tap from going through it) and tear it off before I plant it.
 
Has anyone moved an auto that is already flowering (I'm at 16/8 on/off light in the veg tent) to a flowering tent (at 11/13)? The number of hours is irrelevant here, just the question of growing an auto in a flowering light schedule. Will it likely just speed up maturation? Will it be detrimental I guess is the question?
 
Folks with one tent do it all the time when they grow photos as well. The only detrimental effect would be smaller buds from the lower light hours. How much smaller is of some debate, but lower PPFD means less flower growth.

That's the biggest joke of the year, maybe even of the century (and we still have 79½ years to go :rolleyes: ). That 6' distance is based on a study performed way back in either the 1920s or 1930s. The only semi-recent ('80s, if I remember correctly) such study I'm aware of found that it was more like 27 feet. One of the reasons this thing spread all over the world, and so quickly, probably.
 
Wear a mask and don't sneeze or cough into open air.
 
But doing either of those things won't make ME sick.

Yeah really nice VG. Your gals should fill in well for you over the next 3 weeks.
