Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Thanks Otter! She’s looking to be a good one. Easiest DDa I’ve germinated so far. I’ve heard nothing but good things about doing DDa in a hempy set up. Maybe I’ll be able to get a decent couple oz instead of the dinky 12g I got last time.
Absolutely! The hydro ones go wild! Good luck with yours!

@ChefDGreen No need to water if when you lay the back of your fingers on top of the perlite and it's cool/moist. A small amount will evaporate off the top but think about it, that small plant is not going to play much of a role in depleting the moisture in the perlite. Like the SP that you grow one of the main benefits (as I see it) in hempy growing is that the plants have all the moisture they need but the roots are surrounded by plenty of oxygen too. Every fourth day (at this stage) pour out the reservoir and refill it with fresh water/nutrients.

Day 30, nice smell coming off her now, hoping those buds will swell, fingers crossed.

So my other seed never came out after over 2 weeks in germination attempt. Given how long it's sister is taking, I should've probably kept waiting but I didn't wanna deal with it anymore. I ordered some other auto seeds to play with later.

Anyhoo, little DDA is growing a little bit now (a little more than 5 inches tall and wide)...given that she's been above soil for over 4 weeks now (and in reality VEG day 1 was 25 days ago) I'd think it's time to start getting a move on!!

Nine days later and she's 13" tall now!

And little AutoGelato is growing slow....

Not ever grown in perlite i shouldn't say, but keep moist. At least once a day and maybe more. Find some successful hempy grows and see what they're doing. Maybe @Virgin Ground can say.

I was doing almost the same as beez. I was feeding every 3 days though.

I thought hempy was a static form of hydro and could be fed at least once a day and maybe 2 or 3 times?
You can feed once a day. I found it wasteful.
For full flowering 5' plants I watered every 1.5 to 2 days. They were in 10ltr buckets.

I always fed my hempy about every 3rd day
Get a fresh rezz in her, and let em chill

My big Amnesia Haze in a 5gal bucket had a mind of her own...she was a drinker for sure

How long did your girls stretch for? How tall did they get??
They stretched forever but pistols started bunching up early.I didn't pay attention to times. One , the fire plug grew about a foot tall. The rest about 2 feet from the soil. 4 plants, 3 distinct phenos. The pair that were similar even grew different in bud site amounts. One thing about them. They all are wonderful to enjoy. Even the fire plug yielded proudly.

Interesting, looks like we got a green pheno @actionjackson512003

thanks for setting me straight Beez. I’ll change out the rez on my DDa on Tuesday as per every 4th day. She’s put out her first true leaves and is now working on her second pair.

@Virgin Ground your gals look dynamite lady!

@Virgin Ground your gals look dynamite lady!
Thanks Chef.
I was expecting tiny plants for some reason so I'm really glad that I got ultra lazy with the smaller one. If I would have transplanted her with the other one my tent would be bursting at the seams. It's snug as it is.
I think I got a decent light. It seems to grow really nice product.
I'm wondering now how many hours my boards have on them though.

Your day going well? Keeping busy?
