Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

I am currently planning for my next grow of autoflower DDAs. I am going to germinate from seed and grow in 5 gallon pots using 25% perlite, 37.5% FFOF and 37.5% FFHF soil.

What avarage dimensions per plant should I expect during late bloom if I quadline and all goes well?

Maybe 2 feet diameter and 3 feet height?

The pictures SweetSue posted in #3,427 of this thread (<<<Link) were of a friend's DDA. It was in a fabric five-gallon GeoPot with the same basic mixture that you intend to use. He did minimal training (and basically only used a quarter of the manufacturer's recommended amount of Osmocote Plus for nutrients), so you might expect yours to be somewhat larger - or at least wider - under optimum conditions. For scale, I believe the closet it was being grown in is three feet wide (well, deep, but he was standing sideways when he took the picture). As you can see, it's practically touching those two opposing walls.

For lighting he used a Mars-Hydro Mars II 900, which I believe is around 354 watts or so, and the LED panel was directly over that plant (because he only grew the one).

Oh, and I think the lack of scent mentioned in that post might be attributable to insufficient nutrients in mid-late flowering, but that's just a wild guess. I didn't monitor the grow, so for all I know, he might have had an O₃ generator running nearby, lol.

lol ... O₃ generator and 350 true Watts for one plant ... no need for training ... that's a lot of light food! It's like a marine cannabis drill instructor ... "You will grow private cola!!!" :)

It looks like I am not too far off with my estimates, so I'm pretty sure I can put 4 plants nicely into a 3'x3' grow tent, or 6 plants nicely into a 4'x4' grow tent.

Thanks, ... and nice to hear from you again @TorturedSoul, ... btw what's your latest project?

Creative theft prevention ;) .

Have a great weekend!

Thanks; I hope you do the same. Mine already received a minor amount of "great." I read a while back that the developer of my (free, of course) linux operating system wasn't as happy as one likes the provider of such things to be. But I expect that he will continue to develop/maintain it for at least the foreseeable future, lol, because I just read on his blog that the monthly donations for his project during the month of April totaled $24,149 (people appreciate free and open source software, and are willing to give in order to see it continue to exist). Therefore, I don't suppose I'll have to go "shopping" for a new OS any time soon. That wouldn't be a drop in the bucket for Microsoft's monthly operating expense, but for one guy with a very small team of helpers, it's fairly significant.

Now, assuming this broken down old laptop endures. . . .

This DDA is my own creation, it was started on 4-2, it did not Auto flower, now it is in 12/12 flower. I wonder how genetics break down or rejection occurs:hmmmm:?
A few close ups of my mystery DDA, sure is a different looking plant, if it has pollen I will collect it. I took starts this morning, well see if they give up due to auto genes or what. It sure has "boy parts" look to it.:hmmmm:

What parent plants did you use? Big Devil XXL and whatever their "unknown autoflower" is, or...?

@dynamo1 So the plant in the photo is not the plant you reversed with colloidal silver? If it is you did a thorough job as it's loaded with pollen sacks.

So you reversed a DDA, made seeds, and this plant is from one of the seeds you made? And this plant is untreated with CS spray?

Was the plant you reversed from a seed from Sweet Seeds or one of Rifleman's seeds?

If I didn't know what you had planted I would say you have a photoperiod male plant. Knowing what you planted I would not hesitate pitching that fellow into the compost bin.

Have fun!
