Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Weslemkoon Lake - Weslemkoon Lake - Wikipedia

Yeah lots of folks come from Toronto for the weekends, we stay for a month or so during the dog days of summer. I've been thinking of running some auto plants there this upcoming summer and see if I can get them to finish!

You plan to journal that BB? I'd like to follow that one myself.

12/20

Dark Devil(Day 30), topped on day 23(late). Got a full veg feeding(General Organics Grow, Root, CaMg) this week. And moved under the 600w HPS and she started stretching way up. Preflowers showing.

Dark Devil Auto - Day 84

I never thought this one would go 12 weeks.

Background: In 4'x4' tent, Mars Hydro II 900 along with 2 photo period plants so she's been 12/12 since 10/30/15 using RAW nutes, some Overdrive, Molasses and a taste of Epson salt. She was germinated in her final 5 gal smart pot. She is 20 inches and bud back building of 3 colas was done 11/18/2015. Straight water during the last three weeks and until harvest.

She's fading now with most of pistils browning. Trichomes are monitored closely and are mostly milky. I am patiently waiting for just one amber trich and she will be chopped. Buds are frosty and beautiful with the dark undertones of the sugar leaves.

Jim..... whoa!!! She turned out to be your most stunning beauty in a super class. You are killing that tent grow my magical friend. :high-five: Any moment now you'll be posting her harvest. Well done.

Hey Jim - fantastic job... for an Autolfower 12 weeks is a LOOOOOONG time. Mine always last 50-55 days from seed pop to done. I guess yours had a bit more of the photo strain and less Rudiralis in the genetics - which should = higher potency. Good on ya mate - fantastic.

Looks to me like you have a green thumb or 2. Get the next ones going!!

Cheers

Looking good Jim.

:thanks: JC I sure was impressed by the dark dankness of this one.

Hard to believe isn't it? :thankyou:

I couldn't really wrap my head around 12 weeks this morning. I think the 12/12 lighting might have extended the auto grow. Higher potency....I look forward to that. Thanks BB.

I love the looks of them DD, my beans arrived today so time to get busy!!
I Have the mars 39"x39" tent for these purple beauties along with the reflector series 600w LED

You should run these 100% organic and compare with what you're growing in your journal. Compare taste smell bag appeal and effect. I think you will come on over to the organic side after!!

I would love to but organic soil is impossible to find right now in our area, I will however use the promix soil that I have and use only organic nutes if that counts for anything....

That counts for a lot, and I'm thrilled you'll be growing with us. If in the future you're interested in building a good organic soil might I refer you to our soil discussion thread (see my signature) or track down PeeJay. The thread is populated by some impressive cultivators who will work with you to find accessible and affordable soil components. PeeJay has worked with a number of our members, Cannafan Dennise and B A R come foremost to mind, to build soils they sing the praises of.

Until then, you use what works for you.

DARK DEVIL AUTO

She is at day 47 today. Looking a little pale at the moment but I do remember my last DD doing the same? she was fed yesterday 2ml grow, 2ml bloom, 1ml topmax and 1ml calmag per liter she took 2.

It amazes me how distinctive each cultivator's plants look. This one grew up while my back was turned. :laughtwo:

mine arrived for a late Christmas gift . It was a sweet seeds anniversary pack buy 5 and get 2 free , complete surprise to me as there was no mention of that when I placed the order. Hopefully they will turn out as beautiful as the medicine in this thread.

Run all 7 seeds - the plants are fairly small and all 7 should fit in a 4'x4' space. You should expect a few seeds to not make it.
If you are unfamiliar with seed sprouting here's a good link for it:

Guide to Cannabis Germination & Planting of Cannabis Seeds

^^^ that's how I do it and get excellent result. Paper towel method = poison in the paper to make it white and chemicals too! Just sayin. I've been running Mandala strain perpetual for 2 years or so with repeatable result every run.

I sprout my seeds in a basic soil mix mostly peat and worm casting mix no ferts, then into final container for the win!

Good luck and keep it green and purple! You're on the right track!

My DD's cracked over night, soil bound tonight I think. My wife saw the container with DD written on the side and said this was the perfect strain for me as I have always liked double d'S........

I will also be doing 2 Supersonic Cristal Storm at the same time.

What an excellent Christmas surprise!!!! Congrats on getting them into the soil. :woohoo:

Wasn't that a wonderful surprise? I was lucky enough to get the same deal and ended up with 14 instead of 10. :high-five: I have great confidence in your ability to grow them out. If you run into any questions or challenges you have all these experienced cultivator's who've succeeded in their own grows to help you out.
