Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Thank you I've been kinda stumped as to when i should start nutes.

I need to edit my post to include that from sprouting through about day 20 the seedlings were fed 1/4 strength nutrients and then switched to 50% strength nutrients through harvest.

Thinking on starting a DDA in DWC this week

Wanna see if I can get a big girl going

Not sure if I'll top her, depends on her initial growth I guess

It will be small until it hits the stretch. 10 or 11 inches at 3 wks small. Exploding up to 38 inches in my buckets without topping.

@Rifleman I started an auto flower plant that I very much wanted to treat with colloidal silver. It has a decent 4th node but is already 17 days along. It generally starts flowering at about day 24. So I know I won't be topping it. But if I still want to make S1 seeds I'll most likely have to spray the main "cola" to have a chance at female pollen sacks??

:thumb:Time to start spraying CS is now if that is your goal, I've done it.:goodluck::Namaste:

So just basically sacrificing the plant for the seeds.

Now is the time to start. I usually pick a lower branch and just spray it, but I have other plants to germinate too. Once a day for about 3 wks and you'll see pollen sacs developing. Mark your calender when you first see actual pollen, you'll need 5 wks for seeds to mature.

Did you end up with DDAs in your photoperiodic flower room? In other words, have you flowered any under ~12 hours light per day instead of 18 or more? If so, did those plants seem like they foxtailed less than ones grown under the usual auto light schedule?

I've read that some sativas foxtailed, but were less likely to do so under less light-hours (per day). Different schedules of course - I'm thinking the suggestion there was to reduce to 11/13 or something - but I'm wondering if the concept applies to autos which exhibit foxtailing under 18/6 or more light-hours. And they'll obviously flower under less.

My last DDA was grown under 12/12 for a few weeks early on and then I set my timer to 11/13 to get my sativa in the mood to set flowers. Foxtailed quite a bit, but I haven't grown them under longer light cycles to be able to compare.

Dark Devil Auto: Day 21

Just Lst'd as she's growing up. Still flexible but a rigid plant overall. Very bushy and definitely along the indica side.Darla is already going through puberty and starting to stink. Faintly smells of a must covered by bath and body works body spray. Lol

Chopped the buds I deemed ripe just a bit ago. Trying to get those tiny buds to do something other than foxtail.

She is going to be delicious.
How much do you think you'll haul in dry?

Looking great, i bet they should start stretching anytime now.

The girls together.

Im not sure how well this holds true overall but i will say that out of my 2 the purple one has more indica looking leafs, while the girl with the sativa looking traits is a green pheno.

That's what I've been noticing about the phenos through pics. Great observation guys.

I accidentally snapped a lower branch yesterday so i decided to see how shes doing so far. They still have a little while to go but figured id post a pic anyways.

And oops but whooowhooo sample time!!!:ganjamon:

First time working LED lighting. So I hit both bloom and veg thinking the girls will have a broader spectrum. I did that yesterday morning.
Could this be the cause of the early pistils popping out? Or just an early bloomer?
I think its just early bloom... or maybe genetic. I have 3 jack herer auto at day 20 and they all been topped and no sign of pistol yet! I hope I have another week of veg before going to flower! I was running my light on full spectrum for the last week and I change it to vegg only two days ago and they seem to be groing faster... and I have some DDA seeds on ithe way as well cant wait next week
Peace

Less than an ounce for sure. I dont really keep track of yield.

I had to clip some buds for emergency medicine about three weeks ago and I fed her bad pH for most of her life. The bad pH was not good for yield, nor were my emergency trimmings. My last DDA was a beast compared to this, unfortunately it was (purposely) full of seeds so yield by weight was compromised.
