dynamo, this picture from Alchimia blog is a good example of a plant with an excess of magnesium in the soil.

The challenge for you is the fact that you used equisetum in excess for the soil mix. The standard treatment for mag excess is to flush the soil and start anew with a balanced nutrient mix. That won't work for you, so I think this may be a learning experience for you, unless you transplant into a more balanced soil. She's small enough yet that you could pull that off with some gentle handling, but it's a close call.

The Critical Jacks look delicious. Nice dense buds from what I can see from here. Great work on them. :high-five:

Most of my plants (including the auto) are in soil I mixed up with a 'little of this and some of that' approach. I am getting better at it. [;>)

I only bought one Kit and it only made enough soil for the three plants I keep talking about. I want to make up another batch but I need to order more ingredients.

Mostly I am amazed that it is flowering already. I planted two mystery photo seeds that broke grown the same day the auto did and the difference between them is impressive. I will try to get one of them into the next update.

Thanks Sue for the reply:Love:. I've mixed up old/new soil, old soil has been sitting a couple months, added Gala rock dust, kelp meal. crab meal, oyster shell, neem meal, micorrhizal fungi. (I have a salt shaker full of it and use it whenever I transplant). Clones that received "that soil" has been uprooted. Time to change soils in my DDA, she deserves a better life. I think I'll call her Precious, I don't think i have OCB as bad as Smeagol.:Namaste:
 
Hi Sue, I have a couple of different pheno types of my DD. One is really tall compared to others. It's probably over a foot tall, others are really short. What's the tallest you have seen so far?

I like them both. :cheesygrinsmiley: It was a real treat to have two different phenos growing side by side. I need more soil. Better get that bale of ProMix ordered.
 
I had lost my "Seed Bible" with my last DD seed in it!!!! I was crushed FF a an dropped some in my mail box!!!! That next morning low and behold as I was moving things around I n my tent to make room there it was my "Seed Bible" so blah blah on 5-17-17 she popped her head out of the soil and today here sh is now c and happy and on day 19!!!!!!

Hey everyone, been a little while since I've been able to jump over here! All these plants are looking great and there's even some new babies in the mix as well :) So glad to see all of you trying this beautiful strain!

Here is a quick update on what's happening in my Dark Devil world!!

My first DDA at day 51.. She's going to be getting a feeding later on tonight which will be as follows: Micro - 4ml, Gro - 1ml, Bloom - 6ml, Liquid KoolBloom - 2ml, Armour Si - 1.5ml, Diamond Nectar - 2.5ml, CaliMagic - 3ml, Flora Nectar - 5ml..

She's getting pretty purple and the buds are starting to put on some weight now. Hopefully these next few weeks she will just keep on filling out for me :) She has a slight calcium deficiency but I have upped the CaliMagic a little to hopefully help with this.

And here we have our little side by side experiment.. I'm not really sure how it's going at the moment, this hempy bucket really has me wondering what I did wrong. The roots must have hit the reservoir by now, she had a couple good dry periods to get the roots moving around but still haven't had that big growth spurt a hempy normally gets. Lets hope it's waiting for the flower stretch to take off like mad, I had a couple auto's before do that in hempy's. On the bright side, the promix girl is getting pretty big and healthy.. Lower shoots are really growing out, even before I topped them. Yesterday was topping day, not that the hempy girl was really ready for it but I wanted to get them done on the same day, maybe that will kick it into gear! Hempy girl got a little bit of nitroget deficiency starting but hopefully yesterdays feeding has subsided that now. They both look happy either way.

I think I usually do pretty good when it comes to germinating seeds, I hardly lose any but for some reason out of 5 seeds only 2 popped and 1 of those did nothing more but I am still proud to say that I am the proud father of a brand new baby girl. Please welcome the newest addition to my little family ms DDA#1

Ok so this DDA is roughly a month and a half old. I almost killed her a few times with to much heat then fungal gnats but through all this torture she would t give up!!! So when she started flowering I had some Thin Mint Cookies Pollen and And figured she wasn't going to be making me any smoke she wouldn't die so I might as well try to get some seeds out of her!!! I don't know if it worked but I see swollen calyx!!!! Fingers crossed I'm happy with 2 seeds lol!!! Here's a pic of her from the top she was rode hard and put away the wet!!!! Lol

:thumb: Good Luck, I'm in the same boat, my DDA has been transplanted due to to much horsetail in my soil, and has had bugs, and is small. I'm hoping to get a few of Critical Jack/DDA seeds. I wasn't very successful with my first and only Auto, not sure of what type of cross that would give. female forced pheno pollen type and female DDA =?:reading420magazine:

So here she is my first DDA!!!! OMG .!!! I am dying inside rite now 74 Days and I grew a Joint And a seed that I can see for now!! I pollenated her with Thin Mint Pollen 48 Days ago So I hope this seed grows something more then a joint!!!! It smells great very citrusy sweet lime IDK!!!
