..I imagine the list of things ill try will be rather large and is unknown at this time..
..store bought, made for human consumption products:
First to the table- coconut water.
(Vita Coco on the left)
Both bagseed are same age, and were both potted in 1gal pot on dec 14th, both at the same height/overall size.
...subject A, left side being fed with diluted coconut water(roughly 1:3). Subject B on the right with straight water.
Just picked up the aloe water juice stuff lastnite and me likes the lable, with 2% Ca, 2%Phosphorus and 3%Mg, 75mg potassium and only 15mg sodium.
(recently used shrimp boiled water for a P deficiency... Gawd i wish i found this aloe gloe sooner. Would rather my flowers smell aloey then fishy..)
Good experiment. Is the bagseed from the same bag?
Yes! I have picked a lot of coconuts and I've eaten a lot of coconuts and drank a lot of coconut milk. I love coconuts. But a few weeks ago I bought some of that coconut water crap for the first time and I was like -WTF!!!!???? Hopefully it helped the plants in the ditch grow better...
When i topped my plant I did it on her outer 4 corners. I used a tomato cage and bamboo sticks arranged in a square in the soil/coco for support. I then super cropped the corners at the tomato cage ring then placed the fence on top.
This left the middle of the plant wide open allowing the middle shoots to catch up to the sides and fill in the middle. I waited a week then re-arranged the tops and placed the cage back on top.
I repeated this a total of 3x within a 21-28 day period.
Note that this occurred 7 days before flower and continued into week 3 of 12/12.
Glass of green - GLOG. Sounds mildly sinister. Not for the children anyway.
This is part of what Stage said when I asked about his technique.
I will try the 'dog fence' thing in a couple weeks. The point, for me anyway, being to grow a plant that is controlled like a scrog, but has a bit more 'natural' look without a screen encased in the middle of it.
Right now the plant I want to use for it is all tied up to it's neighboring plant with graft attempts. It's very claustrophobic for all of us and I'm looking forward to cutting it free as soon as possible
The glass of green could work - they grow fruits in plexiglass or glass boxes in Japan to shape them. You'd definitely have to have a fan under it. I don't think you can put the light at 4" above a glass, though. I have glass enclosed HPS lights - they still have to be about 2 feet off the top of the plants.
Does Stage just drop a dog screen on top of his plants for a few months and then remove it near the end? Hard to see in his pictures LOL
Yessir, both from the same bag.
