Curso's True High Brix!

Lets talk Soil...these plants here are in the 5th time I have run this soil. Or maybe its 4.5...I did have those 3 dudes last round that I ended up culling. All 3 of those big ass plants went into the soil. Everything. I cut those things up into pieces and buried them with some Root zone and a bit of water. I've been feeding the soil weekly with what I take off for months. This run looks no different than the 3rd run. The Urkle and the first Fruit Punch Skunk came out perfect in the 4th run. Any questions on it...Now would be the time...:) I'm high and thinking about it.

I vote you share your whole process here and on my In the Lab thread. Please????

No problem...I'll do my best to make sense of it :)...one more bong rip :bigtoke:...there we go..

Now that I'm good and baked and coughed myself into remembering I have broken ribs...I can explain this I think.

Lets start with explaining what I do. I add my "scrap" any plant matter I am not going to use as medicine gets recycled into my soil (aside from thick woody stems). It can be fresh or dry, I try to get it in there fresh. But it honestly doesn't matter. I add a handful of Root zone cover it with soil and water it. We will call this TUNING THE SOIL. This puts the soil energy "in tune" for our crop. Its just green mulching people have been doing it for hundreds of years. It's nothing new. I didn't reinvent the wheel. I just went back to find what they did back in the day to grow food properly before chemicals. With all this being said...

Your first round should cook per instructions with 20-30lbs of worm castings for at least 30 days. If you are able to tune this first run soil feel free to do so. If not save your trim.

The second run you can just let rip if you wish, I did and it was fantastic. However...If you tune it...it'll be 100% better.

After the second run. This is where things get good. I tune it and add 20lbs worm castings and a small bag of pro-mix + the 2nd amendment. Cook it for 30 days.

Third run tune it, cook it 30 days.

Fourth run tune it, cook it for 30 days.

Fifth run tune it, cook for 30 days.

To be continued at my discretion ;)

Just a footnote. There are a few variables in this methodology. Pots are the biggest variable imo. I use smarties they allow for thin roots and loads of soil to recycle. I will not guarantee it will work with anything else. Remember this is just what has worked for me.

Also I usually only have about half of my soil in use at a time as well. So I constantly have some cooking.

One of the main reasons I am able to recycle my soil is there is no shit in it. Soils with waste in it will not recycle well. Lets think about it, its already waste, what does used shit become?? Shit I would suspect. It opens doors that I will claim NO responsibility for. This soil recycle is really for kit soil. Period. I say this because, I haven't tried it with anything else or will I. I am a kit grower.

I would also suspect that tuning any other soil the first cook would work fantastic. Let's just not try to recycle it.

I was asked the other day how I use the drenches and such. I wrote this down for my nephew in case he has to take care of my grow. I have these instructions hanging for him.

Recipes~ (are for six (6) plants)
Drenches
Transplant~ 1oz + 1ml tea + 1gl of water- Divided between all plants
Energy~ 1oz +1ml tea +1gl water- Divided between all plants
Cat Drench~ 1oz +1ml tea + 1gl water- Divided between all plants
Sprays
Brix ~ 1oz:1qt water spray weekly after 4 sets of leaves.
De-stress ~ 1oz:1qt water as needed
De-stress Clones~ 0.5 oz :1qt water spray daily.

Soil~
When you start your cook add the trim from your past grow. It doesn't matter if its dry and crusty, save and add that shit right off the bat. Success depends on it. DO NOT USE PLASTIC POTS. The success of your soil recycle depends on it.

Each round should rest for at least 3 weeks. Add trim, roots, stems ect..and some root zone to each rest. And be ready to thank me later.

Clones~
I always have something in my clone tray...Back-up plan's whatever you wanna call them they can chill in the cloning tray for a really long time, Just don't allow the roots to get long. Trim them. A couple times. Let that plug get full of roots. Once they hit dirt...LOL look out.

Veg~
Once those super rooted clones hit dirt. I deep root soak them 4 days after they get transplanted with roots and transplant water. This gets them settled in there. I do the same every 7-10 days and add 1 pt of energy drench 2 days after the soak. No more than 30 days in the small pots. 10 days before the flip (giving you 40 days total) transplant them into their final home with transplant. Deep Soak 4 days after and energy 2 days after the soak.

Flower~
Continue to use energy until week 2 of flower.

Week 3 ~ Cat Drench followed by water x 2
Week 4 ~ Cat Drench followed by water x 2
Week 5 ~ Transplant followed by water x 2
Week 6 ~ Energy followed by water x 2
Week 7 ~ Cat Drench followed by water x 2
Week 8 ~ Energy followed by water until its finished...

This is how I had my best success with the kit.

Awesome bro! Thanks so much. This is a great help to all of us.

Awesome bro! Thanks so much. This is a great help to all of us.

No problem, I've been meaning to write that for a while. He (my nephew) asked one day if I would allow him to take care of things in my absence, I would as long as he followed those to a tee. So I had to start noting things just so he knows where I'm at. He can go up there and take over right now and be successful. I hope it does help.

I have also had better success (yield) when I take all the big fan's. This tent growing is different. I found I get better yield when I take the leaf. While the brix is lower, I'm lowering from really high to average so there is no noticeable quality difference IMHO or if there is only the grower would notice it. Honestly I don't notice.

I should also mention I have some of my 3rd run soil in a bag stashed away to get sent out to be tested. I just want to see where that round was at. It was a great run. I'll share the results with Doc once I send it out and we'll decide what's what with it :) I think it'll be cool to see what I have turned some peat into :)

Thanks man. I just typed this in Doc's in the lab thread...But I can do it again for my readers to read too (just incase someone actually doesnt read doc's threads)

I sometimes have to do what I have to do to continue moving in a forward direction with my life. Had I continued on the path I was on I would have never left the house. I went and got a job, back to being a chef for now. I missed cooking. A lot. Much, much more than I would have ever believed. The last time I took an extended break from this job (kitchen burn out sucks) I realized it was my art. I replaced that art with a much more in depth look at growing. Its fun and rewarding I love to grow. But its not the same art. Sure I use many of the skills I have acquired over the years as a chef growing, I make it work. Its not the same as making a beautiful plate of food for someone and seeing their eyes light up when they taste it. Nothing can replace that feeling.

So, I've had some reasonable job offers and a few kinda disrespectful ones. I accepted a reasonable one and have a few others to talk to still. One of these gigs is a dream job for a chef..M-F days. No nights, no weekends, no holidays. Perfect!!!! I am 100% interested in this gig. It would allow me to continue fighting as I wish. I don't want to have to fight people for the ability to have hobbies. Normal people don't work nights or weekends for that matter.

Anyways sorry for the rambling...I just thought I'd put you all up on wtf...lol

Excellent news, Curso.

I get all pent-up and grumpy when I'm not creating or making sumpin, and I don't have fighting for an outlet! There's just something irreplaceable about taking a bunch of ordinary stuff and making something much more valuable from it. It's like mini-magic. Presto chango - voila!

And the attaboys don' hurt either. A man needs his attaboys on a regular basis. :cheesygrinsmiley:

:Namaste:
