The Jury is in on the World of Seeds Skunk 47~ It's good!!!! Had surprising weight for a seed I was going to cull. It's labeled "Pure Skunk x Pure Ak" and tastes the same. I would give it 8 of 10 it's a nice buzz, I don't know if I would grow it again, I took clones of this plant and have them in flower. They're nice plants and cloned really well.

The more you grow high brix, the more you're going to appreciate landrace genetics, if at all possible. Skunk is a crazy hybrid to begin with, and AK is fairly complex too.....cross them and you've got a true mutt....could be the best plant in the world, could be like what you got....an 8.

But for some reason, just like heirloom tomatos love rich, organic soil and just taste way better than hybrids grown in the bed, landrace or "pure" genetics respond really well a high brix approach.

That really sucks about those seeds. I've ordered seeds online 3 times. Once, everything came as ordered. The other two times were nothing short of disaster, as far as I'm concerned. I think that's where they got the term "seedy business," or "seedy motel." They're just flakey people more often than not.
 
I've order quite a bit from one bank and get what I have asked for most times. This time I ordered from the breeder and blah, blah, blah..."They have been shipped they should arrive soon"... I might just might have to do some more sour diesel cuts. I'll send them the biweekly email on Sunday and see wtf. I'm not really sweating it, would just be nice to have them.

It's an 8 because it's really hard to give anything a 10 (not counting the CVK and the Sour Diesel (9)) It grew nice and is good smoke, but...its just smoke, nothing great but we'll have a better gauge of it in a couple months. It has that landrace look to it too Doc, almost airy looking buds, that were really heavy. It was like the auto's from my last journal a freebie, something to abuse :) we'll see what happens when I actually try with them.

I couldn't agree more!!!! After smoking some of the more cured washed Sour Diesel #2 (I saved a cola for myself) the produce is amazing, bar none the best tasting smoke I've had. I can't wait to harvest the Chem Valley Kush, it's at 8 weeks now and has like 2 maybe 3 more weeks to go.

The rest of my grow is going fantastic, they got some stress and water yesterday. The CVK's needed a snap on a couple branches so they got snapped at the level of the canopy. They indeed got sprayed with stress and are pretty happy plants. Overall they are all tric'ing out and in full bloom. I'll take pics the next time I take them out of the tent as they are shaping up to being very, very nice plants. I didn't feel like taking the time yesterday when I watered them to take pics. They all went into the tub with air stones for 5 minutes each, drained, sprayed and back into the tent.

First i would like to thank you for all the great info. you provide for us. I have stacks of notes that i follow from you and other high brix growers here. I'm very interested in getting my hands on your kit where as i'm gonna be loading up on new gear for my grow. If you could hit me back and let me know whats up I would really appreciate it. Yeah BID my cat loves to crawl up in there I wouldn't be surprised if she was up in there somewhere...

I have noticed a couple things since switching soil from T&J to Doc's.

A) No bugs!!!! At all, what so ever. I haven't seen one, no need for the Yucca with Doc's soil.
B) No worries; I've watched a few grows not only here but out here in the world of friends who have to deal with PM and bud rot. Not me, I do my best to not laugh when they're bitching about it and to not say "you're doing it wrong".

The GSC's and CVK's are popping their heads up a few at a time.

The flowering plants may need watered today, if they do I'll take some pic's, they're shaping up to be very nice.
