Curso's True High Brix!

Good mornin curso, I have question to ask you. I'm in veg doing high brix and want to make sure on feeding. I have 4 plants in 1 gal pots. Is it 1 oz per gallon of transplant and 2 ML. Tea. I want to do a soak in bucket then drain. If I need 2gal water and tea to do the soak would I just double it?

This is what I would do. For 4 gl of soil you'll need maybe 2 cups (1pt) each you could most likely get away with 1 cup each, giving you 1qt (.25oz:.5ml tea). So 1/2 gl of feed water is more than enough. It doesn't take much of this stuff to make a big difference. I like to feed then add water as needed to get the pot wet.

I also water pretty mean in veg too...I allow the pot to get pretty much dry before I water them. So when I feed in my grow, I do it the day or 2 after I water allowing them a chance to dry up just a bit before adding all the good stuff again. Again I use 2gl smarties in veg too so throwing them in 10gl of water absorbs pretty fast.

Thanks bro I appreciate that, lovely weather were having in Mich right now. Stay warm bro.

Dude...LOL yeah its fantastic!!! I went to go somewhere last night, my battery is frozen... AAA...lmao I'll call them later once it gets like 10 or so...lmao

No problem bro. Really you can add that one cup of feed then add some water to kinda rinse it down.

I've been vegging my plants for a long time and been abusing them. They seem to not mind it. Then again my current veggin plants are in 4th run of my soil. So try to follow the instructions. I'm testing the recycle theory with this run. If it does what I think its going to do, yay us!!! Otherwise I'll still have some stellar medication ;)

I just did a deep soak yesterday, 2 weeks since up potting to a 5 gal smart pots still in veg. I really like your idea of h2o first then 2 day's later add " the good stuff"Lol I repeat because I had about a pint drain out of the pot thus loosing the good stuff. OK so what is you time schedule of the all you're spray's?
I'm striving to follow these just like a procedure, no way to miss what step you should be at. But I degrees. I sampled from the oldest clone of bag seed that I thought was some very good stuff and it was "brick" weed, dried harsh but good results-but now in 6-5-3 added on top of coco ugliest plant I have but I might just have to clone it for Hi-Brix.
I'm feeling very well 3 small buds later.:peace:

Just a footnote...When you guys are trying to figure out how much to feed, remember to look at the volume of soil you are feeding. We aren't feeding the plant, we are feeding the soil and telling the friendlies in the soil what to do with these "feedings". Does it effect the plant...yes it most certainly does, but not in the N-P-K sense of the meaning where we're feeding the plant.

I brix on the weekend I try to do it on saturdays but I have nothing ever set in stone with my grow. Once you get a good feel for how the plants act in this soil they tell you when it's time. If I feed that day cool if I don't thats fine too. It's really where the plant is at. Like I'm debating giving them some brix today. I have had good results waiting a day or so after a drench to spray. But it really makes no difference.

Stress at the beginning of my soil I used it often once a week even in flower. Now that my soil is developed I find myself using it much, much less and hardly ever in flower.

I'll explain how I look at high brix growing and maybe it'll help you guys. It took me a while to figure it out.

When we are using this method of growing...Yep we're growing plants. Great plants, fantastic plants, some of the best plants most people have ever seen. True enough. However you might want to look at it from another angle. My angle is; Yeah I'm growing nice plants good stuff, but that's not what I am really doing. What I am really doing is developing my soil. Like a good sauce takes time to develop good flavor, so does the soil take time to be just right. I'm working on just right. The plant tells me where my soil is at.

So remember while yeah your growing nice plants. Your really setting up 2 runs from now with how you treat your soil today.

Proper planning prevents piss poor execution...

Thanks curso, I can't believe how much water these baby's are sucking up. On my third day they are bone dry and drooping. I like the way they look so far. Want to really learn this art of life. Still trying to figure out why when I prune it does' by form more branches all the time, just pinched leaves.

Are you getting just the big fans or are you fim'ing them literally. Missing will cause all sorts of fun stuff to happen. I personally don't bother with pruning and all that. I just top them once and give them a couple good bends then let them rip. The art to me is in the soil. If your soil is nailing it, your plants will show it ;)

Yeah they'll suck some water up once they hook into their homes :)

Cool, many high 5's to you curso. Thank you for taking time to help. I think i'm going to try the bullet coffee for the first time. Going to sam's club to get Kerry gold butter.

It's strange bro, I'm not gonna try to fool you. But the benefits out weigh the feeling of drinking chapstick (if you use organic coconut oil)..lol

Your welcome bro but honestly no need to thank me. All ya have to do is ask ;) We can't help if people don't ask ;)

Curso,

Did you reuse your soil's when growing organically?

One of the reason's I never reused was trying different nutes here and there and not wanting old stuff in the mix. Oh and of course to get rid of any critters. F'n gnats

I have been tossing mine into the veggie garden, but I am beginning to think I should have been reusing at least half+ of the organic/mineralized soils I have been using lately.

This has all been kit soil that I have been recycling. I'm still working it all out but so far adding the "waste" from my grow into the cooking soil for the next round seems to be a rather good idea. We'll see after this round I have vegging, I wont add anything to the soil other than the root zone product. I'm pretty happy with the color and all that of that ugly plant I have in 4th run. I also transplanted one of the pineapple skunk x gdp into a 7gl pot of it. It's hooking right in. Like I said "we'll see".

Yeah I wouldn't reuse that nute soil for cannabis either. I'm sure it would grow some fine veggies. The organic stuff man I'd hate to tell you yeah go for it bro. I could do that with confidence with Doc's soil and a little bit of love. But man I'm not really sure on it so I cant say "yeah reuse it". I've talked to some people that use Super Soil and its reuse is in their garden. There's a lot of "waste" in that soil that makes it a bit scetchy to me to reuse. Shotta reused his SS but I can't remember how it worked for him...Damn weed..lol

I haven't seen a bug in this journal I mean I am kinda baked so my memory might not be serving me right. But 100% for sure not in the 4x4 tent. I also have some yucca in my soil too, I haven't used it in my current grow, but its in there. That stuff keeps the gnats away. Really its all the soil being balanced that keeps the bugs away. They wont find anything they like in my pots, the EC is to high for their little asses. They don't even come calling :)

Curso

here is the WW9th gen I'm going to experiment with spiraling around cage.

G15_WW_trsplt_3d_diag.jpg

sorry for a double post, but I just remembered it was you that wanted an update on my widow and the spiral attempt.

Well it didn't turn out so well. I only vegged it a week after transplanting and the clone was already 10+ weeks old and showing hairs. (you can see hairs already on the clones below) I don't think the roots had a chance to develop properly. She filled out a bit, but never stretched. And it tasted like the stuff he grows with Miracle Gro.

When I got the clone it was real real root bound. As big as you see it in the pic above in a 4 inch square pot.

I got a day old clone at the same time and have been vegging it and trying this spiral from the start. It is in a 1 gl pot. I have been wrapping it around the pot and tying it down.
I anticipate better results this time. I am going to veg til the branches are at least half way up the cage.

I'll update again in about 13 weeks if I remember,,,, lol

one of these

turned into this. The main stem starts at about 5 oclock and ends at noon and a lower branch goes from 5 to 1. I should get at least 8 colas.
