Curso's True High Brix!

My new vape showed up today!!!! Man...it's nice :) I got the Vapor Blunt it's portable and easy to use and has me pretty well medicated. Other than it looking sort of like a dildo with a mouth piece I love it. It really made my Chem Valley Kush taste sweet and complex. I'm going to go to the local and pick up some not high brix weed tonight so I can taste the difference with the vape. I still love my joints though but the vape is pretty nice. I ordered it from the site sponsor Herbal Vaporizer and Portable Vaporizers On Sale they were cool and shipping was fast (stupid presidents day) and free. Pic's later...I'm gonna go vape again...lol

Ah...the life of a grower/chef:

sucking on dildo's and buying weed....well, not everyone does them both.

I gotta get my wife one of those!

as long as you like what come out of your dildo who care what it looks like  ok maybe its a in private thing lol but i gotta tell ya the mental pic had me rotflmmfao! "hey gimme my dildo back its my turn to suck on it!!" oh the laughs that will be had , im having a hard time breathing here lmao!
the plants look just sick with resin already, good job to you and doc, one day when i find the promix i'll have to hit doc up
:bravo::thumb:
I'm happy to give ya a good laugh, we (my wife and I) laugh at it too but man does it give some good vape :D. Thanks, the plants are surprising me too, I am impressed every time I look at them. I think its awesome that it's possible to get the results that Doc gets for $75. I'm really stoked to get what's in veg flowering, I think that I might flip them this weekend, they're growing at such a fast rate I just might have to. For sure pic's later :)

Hey Doc, look @ the Vapor Blunt 2.0 for your wife, it works on the same platform (one button easy to use) but its smaller and would fit in her purse. It would be great for your wine tasting, doobie smoking car riding days :D

Okay I took pic's :) Veg tent is doing amazingly well, it's for sure getting flipped on sunday. I took one Sour Diesel out for pic's today too, she's a nice plant. I'd say she looks pretty alright for going into her 6th week of flowering ;)

I finally had a chance to read through your journal bro...sorry it took me so long, it's an OCD thing with me...I can't follow a journal unless I know everything that happened from the beginning!

I didn't know you were a chef. My first job when 15 was washing dishes in a local restaurant. The head chef took me under his wing, and became a second father to me. I started prepping, and before long, working on the line. I spent several years learning from him. I almost went to culinary school, but life took me in a different direction. I still love to cook though, and I guess some might call me a foodie! I've grown my own vegetables for over a decade...there's simply no comparison. :thumb:

It makes sense that you would be drawn to High Brix. Chef's understand more than most that just because something looks pretty, that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality, nutrition, and taste!

Everything looks great! :goodjob: Keep it up!

:Namaste:

Thanks Vape!!! I'm happy you got a chance to take a look :)
It looks like we took the same path in the culinary world, I ended up doing large scale catering (>5000) and VIP food for the events. It's an interesting business I still enjoy, it's my art ;) Although growing is becoming much more rewarding (only because I love to smoke, I still love my money) than cooking these days. I love going to the farmers market still to this day (even in Detroit, we just make sure someone is armed...LoL!!!) I love the smells of the fresh veggies and herbs. I wouldn't call myself a foodie but I do have to keep current with trends which I guess would make me a one. Best food ever is local fresh food truck food!!! Man some of them just have the best shit ever.

Your about to be blown away once you flip :) Week 3 of full bloom is when you'll really be like "yep that's wtf I'm talkin about" :)

I'm picturing a dinner party....high brix veggies, hand grown beef, sauces, local wine, local bud (with some visiting growers sharing theirs........

Curso and Vape are definitely on the list! How can we do this?

Lets see how these "cookie's" bake (so to speak) if they are as good as people say they are...My wife and I would be happy to catch a flight ;) after a batch gets sold :)

The veg tent is no longer a veg tent, it got flipped. They all got some energy and brix, tonight will be their first 12 hour dark period. They're all 12" tall aside from the Skunk47, which are super bushy. Once the hps tent finishes these will get moved in. I am getting a 600w ballast for the bigger of my working tents. I have a pretty powerful inline fan that should keep it cool enough, I just question the circuit. We shall see :) if it pops I'll work the MH tent @50%.

I vaped some of my sour diesel and some of the rdwc ak47. The sour diesel is lemon piney and the ak is very floral and hashy. The sour diesel vapor was much more complex than the vapor from the ak.

I gave away the ak clones I had for the next round, which is waiting on the Cookie seeds to get here so I have to cut a couple more. The breeders' page said that it was their GSC seed that won the hybrid in the LA cannabis cup this year, so I'm pretty stoked to get them growing. They should be here this week :)

Thanks for the Reps Jon :high-five:
Yes BID they really do :D and thank you!!!
Today is week 6 of bloom for the hps tent. It looks like the Sour Diesel #2 is going to be done right @ 8 weeks, they're really nice. The blueberry gum should be on the same path as the sour d, but might take an extra week. The seeded plants are about 4 weeks out Chem Valley Kush, Purple Urkle and the Skunk 47 are all looking awesome. The purple urkle is a whole lot leafier than I remember, but it's been a year since I've grown it so I just might be foggy about it.

The teenage plants in the MH tent are looking so good, I can't wait to see them in bloom. The Skunk 47's that are in there are really bushy and starting to stretch. The rest (sour d, bbg, cvk) are all looking f'ing great.

I'm super impressed every time I open the tents. I had a friend come over to see it he was blown away with the resin production, he's a DWC guy and I share my strains with him. He has a Sour Diesel #2 @ like 6 weeks too. While his is a little bit bigger (600w vs 400w) mine have a distinct lemon/pine scent, his don't. Both plants are from the same mom (mine).

I ran out of CVK...that was the last of the high brix weed I had...Not to say I've been reduced to smoking DWC but...thats really how I feel now. While it's good smoke (to everyone else), it's not even close to the high from High Brix. I can fill the Vape up with the AK and puff the whole thing. Tried that with the CVK when I had it, I was on cloud 9 after the 6th pull and done before the vape has shut itself off. So nonetheless I miss my good meds...

Pic's Later :)

RE Purple Urkle and leafy;

It's a very, very slow grower. Real Purple Urkel takes like 12 weeks. There's a lot of stuff out there that is PU crossed with something to speed it up. Be patient.

Thanks Doc, I'm giving that patience thing a try, its a struggle within...lol :) I didn't know it was a slow grower to be honest, it was a seed from a bag from a local labeled "Purple Urkle", if its the real deal I'm not to sure. It was good smoke if I recall correctly and I only got like a dozen seeds from a 1/2 and...the 2 times I've grown it they've been female :)

I'm vaping a small sour diesel bud right now I dried the other day....Man it looks like it was outside last night (snow storm) covered in trics and it has the most intense lemon flavor I've had in any pot to date. I bet that lemon paki is fucking fantastic (excuse my french) grown with the kit. Buzz is killer from this bud too, hard to explain but I'll try. It's like high school high, trippy almost, really uppity (clear trics) and very happy.

I have to agree Doc this is much better than the T & J, blows it away, honestly. Good job!!! I can't wait to smoke some finished and cured. :high-five:

Did you use the T and J on the Purple Urkel?

Here's something for you to think about:

I'm harvesting right now and I'm trying something new. I've got 3 buckets in a row, like sinks at the bar when it's time to do the mugs and glasses.

First bucket is leaf wash, second and third are RO.

I pluck the fan leaves and them completely submerge all bud material, sugar leaves and all and agitate them for 30 seconds in the leaf wash. Then do the same in buckets 2 and 3. Lots of residue comes off in buckets one and two, but the third is pretty clear. From there you can either trim or hang.

I chose to hang (after shaking off as much water as possible) and let the leaves curl up and protect the buds. I think it's easier trimming them off after they're dry----or maybe it's hopeful thinking---but the product is just divine. There's a noticeable improvement in taste and smoothness.

You might want to try just one bud and see the difference.

It stands to reason that there's residue from all the foliar sprays, and this will wash it off! I'm also going to try a leaf wash in midbloom, and combine it with a deep root drench.....sort of like a short weather front moving in.

I think I'll try the lab's leaf wash product, which they recommend every 2 weeks, but mainly for dust and insects. Most people don't need it, which is why I didn't get it, but I'm liking the idea of a super clean product.

The sky is the limit! I feel like I've broken free from tradition and can try new things. Some will be funny and disasterous, others just might be good ideas!

I didn't grow the PU in the T & J I think it was a happy frog/pro mix/6-5-3 and t & j tea. It smells so nice, sweet and lovely. I will try the 3 compartment rinse method. As you'll see there's residue on my fan leaves, no biggie, that's expected to be honest. I'll use the lemon juice/soda and RO :)

You have unlocked something great for cultivation doc, and I have to agree, thinking past the prohibition is the only way to look at what we are doing right now. When we go to sell a crop at the market when the time comes, we are going to sell out in no time, leaving the others wondering why we sell out in minutes and it takes them all day to do the same if they sell out at all.

Here's Proof ;)
