Cultivator Disciple - Coco - Barney's Blue Cheese

Hey fellaz ! what's going on today ? Just wanted to show you how the gang is looking today ! Since having uped the nutes to 1.6 total EC as suggested by @Cultivator they are looking crazy well. Less limish colour and more greenish without being dark green : ) I also dialed up the light a bit since yesterday to 35% Reds / 70% blues / 70% white for an exact total of 437.5 Watts

Any comment is always well appreciated : )

Thanx guys ! I know Cult you suggested I dont do a top to get 4 main colas on my first grow but I feel like its not that hard lol (I hope not). Just top of at 4th or 5th node and let the magic happen and do some lst then to secure branches and maybe do a 2nd top to get 8 colas 1 week before flower. I just want to maximize on my 1st grow. Let me know what you think. I've been looking for hours and hours about toping, mainlining etc... worst of cases what can happen ?

Dont top till the plant is 16-20 inches high... the tap root stops growing when you top, the roots start to grow outwards but its better to wait and top when plant is bigger. it will still bush out with some training.

when u top if you wait a bit, strip bottom 1 to 3 nodes (your choice) and then top (between topmost and second highest nodes) leaving at least a quarter of an inch between your cut and the lower node. Not too much that the plant gets confused and tries to send nutrients up the dead stalk or too little that when it shrivels its opens up infection to the main stem. Cut clean too with snips.

i think topping is a waste of time and unnessecary. It slows growth in early stages and its just better to bend as theres no stalling of growth. just bushy monsters, as long as you prune bottoms you never need to top. you can make plants look pretty with topping and mainlining but you wont get more yiled and will take longer. bending alone is more than enough.

I understand your point Cult but the thing is that I was a bit lost on bending and pruning as I'm the kind of person who like's to have a detailed tutorial that I can follow point by point so I found "Nebulas mainlining tutorial" that looks easy as hell Nebula's Manifold - Cannabis "Main-Lining" | Grow Weed Easy I'll just give it a try and next time go with what you suggest. Would be cool if you would do a kind of tutorial like Nebulas for your method on best yield/time ratio method of growing. Well, here's tonight's work : )

Prolly won’t ever top again. Had better luck with bending too. Plus as soon as I cut the main stalk I swear my buds are 50% smaller lol. But I might just be weird.

Dove right in you did. I am still not sure what is gained by this technique other than forever veg times?

Its about the roots the tap root and growth of the plant... training is about light penetration and coverage.. its all the same, but the pro's do know best. Funny the disciple rebelling against the master ;)

hahaha ! I'm not rebelling against the Guru. I believe everything he says but like i said I like detailed tutorials etc... and this nebula thing seems pretty easy and straight forward to follow. However he said he will do a vid on how he trains his plant etc...

I just want everyone to know that I am not in a hurry. I am currently not smoking as I have promised myself to never buy anything else to smoke off of someone. This is not for commercial purposes as well so I've got all the time in the world. This is more of a therapeutical kind of thing I am doing. Sowing seed according to the moon, playing music for the plants, taking my time with no date deadline. If I can grow them to look nice and neat well cool. Life is about taking our time and there will be plenty more grows I hope and will be able to experiment. How will I be able to know what is best and not if I don't do mistakes, try different techniques etc...

By the way today I dialed up my kind led xl750 to 35% reds / 75% blues / 75% whites for a total of 462.5 watts as I felt they were taking light very well and leaves were being a little to dark green so I thought that by adding more light that would be able to use up nutrients better. Correct me if my reasoning is wrong.
