Great haul on the raffles!! Can't complain with that kind of winnings, now you have enough nutes for a couple years haha :) I have heard good things about mephisto genetics as well!

Yes, auto's will do best in a veg tent with 18-20 hours of light right thru til harvest. you can grow them on 12/12 but it will effect your yield, I have personally done this both ways. Another thing about autos, yes stress can possibly make them flower so I have heard, but I have never had this happen. What I do know is that it's best to start them in a peat pellet and as soon as it breaks ground get them planted into the container you plan to harvest them in (final container, only 1, no transplants) and let them do their thing. The bigger the container the better for auto's really, I go with 5 gallon buckets most times. Once an auto roots hit the bottom of the container and start circling is when it will start to flower. So depending on how fast the strains roots grow or if you're using root enhancers, will depend on when they flower really. Check out my 5 gallon DDA experiment for example.. The promix bucket showed sex on day 20 while the hempy bucket still hasn't shown and it's on day 27 now but still much smaller than the promix girl. things to think about when growing auto's.. Auto's were my first indoor grow and I've learned a lot about them since then.

yea seriously, plus i have 1 liter nute line up for nectar of the gods as well that they sent me . i have way too many nutes lol.
just a question for ya , i dont want to transplant autos ,correct?

i see mixed things like always start them in the finishing pots, never top them or lst them . is this true ?
Also i wonder if i can get away with a 300 watt led in a closet , im only asking because i can start them in the closet and the 300 watt light is only 80 bucks on amazon .

You have read some mixed info yes.. some of it is right, some of it is biased (not completely wrong) lol..

Transplanting an auto.. this comes with the chance of stunting the plants growth, and since there is such a short window for vegetative growth (anywhere from 2-4 weeks, strain and root growth varying) you don't want this to happen. It's so much easier to let a plant grow up above the dirt in a peat pellet and just place it into the container of choice from there. I used to transplant my auto's very carefully from solo cups into final pots but I now use peat pellets for all of my seeds, it's so much easier to just pick it up and place it in.

As for topping and lst, you certainly can do this! Top the plant before it's 2 weeks old normally, and top it at the 3rd or 4th node depending how fast she's growing. If you were growing in a hydro setup sometimes you can top more than once due to the fast rate of growth from hydro but lets just stick to topping once. After I top my auto, I like to cut off the growth coming from the 1st node at the same time, this 1st node will not amount to buds really worth drying and will exert that energy to the upper branches instead. Now, with not being able to keep growing straight up like it was, the plant will start putting all its energy to new growth at the nodes between the leaf stem and main stalk. Once they have grown out some you can start to carefully bend them over and stake or tie them into the place you want. LST doesn't hurt an auto to much which is why it is preferred for auto's rather than HST methods.

Yes, you can certainly use 1 of those 300W panels in the closet on an auto or 2.. they don't get as big as photoperiod plants due to the short veg period but plant size is all dependent on the size of the container as well.

thank you for answering all my questions and sharing your knowledge! . .

Not a problem my friend. I enjoy trying to help out where I can.

Excellent answer. Thank brother.

Not a problem!! Glad I could get 2 birds stoned at once instead of killing 2 bird with 1 stone :)

....
You said a couple of days ago you order from a shop in the next province. What shop in what province. I'm in the middle and no shops close to here either.

It's in Elie, Manitoba. A buddy of mine recommended them once and that's where I've been ordering, it's called Canadian Wholesale Hydroponics. Fair prices I find, sometimes cheaper or better quality than on amazon as well. I do try to use sponsors here at 420Mag first but sometimes it's hard when ya find a good deal or something that works better. Pretty good shipping prices as well as you keep adding things to the cart.

I'm going to guess that you are in Ontario somewhere? That's a big chunk of the middle of Canada lol

No Rider fan.

I myself don't watch enough sports anymore. Most cable and satellite costs are just ridiculous these days so we went with an android box and have netflix as well for the kids. It's nice to get rid of a monthly bill in a sense though lol A lot of my time lately when I'm not working has been eaten up by summer chores, indoor and outdoor gardening, my kids and of course 420 Mag followed by sleep haha, no time for tv anymore.

I'm also not originally from SK, so I had no clue the riders were actually from another province lol I grew up in NS so I wasn't much into the CFL. Been out here 4 years now and I gotta say, everywhere I go there is someone that sells Roughriders memorabilia and clothing, even walmart has a bunch haha.

You can find that stuff in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
