Creating Female Seeds Using Colloidal Silver - With High Brix

Well, I haven't been ignoring this thread really, there just hasn't been much to report, however this Friday marks day 36 since pollination and all the other plants are down and canned which leaves these 2 seed plants. I plan to chop them this Saturday and will give them an extra day or two (read maybe 1 week...lol) to dry before I extract the seeds from their pods.

I expect a small photo-update then as well.

Well, I got everything down. The unseeded clone of phenotype #3 came down first and it's really interesting to see the difference in bud mass between the seeded and unseeded clones that were the same age from the same mother. The buds of the seeded plants have seeds poking out from every nook and cranny.

3-4 days and the last of the unseeded produce will get canned. The seeded branches will likely hang for a full week...maybe longer. Even while trimming the fans I had a couple seeds pop out. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I expect I'll start separating the seeds next weekend.

I have one seed left of Fast Buds Girl Scout Cookies. Being that they are Autos I can't just clone it. I was hoping to spray the bottom and use it to fertilize the top.

I need everyone's opinion. I have read a few tutorials online and I have followed this thread. I finally have room in my tent now and I'm ready to start my seed project. I popped my last Girl Scout Cookie Autoflower seed from Fast Budz. My Colloidal Silver came in the mail from Amazon today. My plan is to wait until she starts showing pistols and start spraying her with the CS. I am only going to spray her lower branches and use them to pollinate the rest of her.

Does that sound good? Spray her every morning? When do I stop spraying her?

Mpfstc, :welcome:
please feel free to post here your CS plant pics, questions etc..:thumb:

I would start to spray your plant daily a week or so from now, and before pistils.
also, Spray it until you see changes from female to male and I would continue 2-3x more.

BTW, what concentration is that CS?

Good luck! :)

It is 240 ppm. I believe it's the same one that Governmentchz used.

I'm a little confused as to how to go about spraying the plant. I had one seed left and I want to spray the lower part of the plant to fertilize the top part. Problem is that in about a week the plant will be really small still. How would you go about spraying it? If I sprayed the whole plant would it still produce any buds...I'm thinking it wouldn't? How should I go about this?

It takes 2-3 weeks to initiate the change. I spray the whole plant 1-2 times. Then I spray just the area I want to change. Mine bloomed great.
:)
It also depends on how long youre planning to grow her, her genetics, and her bloom length.
The timing is the main point im trying to say.. :)

Man, I missed the last few posts. Had to check to make sure my subscription to this thread was active...it is.

As far as Mpfstc's questions, pictures would really help. I WILL say though, I didn't spray anything until the plant was well out of seedling stage, and if you're planning on pollinating the same plant you reverse, it will be MUCH easier if you let it grow a bit. You really want to do a lower branch if possible and they're hard to isolate if they're still really small.

Throw us a pic or two if you can.

Edit: That brand of CS is the same I got. Mix it 3:1 (3 parts water to 1 part 240ppm CS) and you'll have a good concentration for this purpose.

She is a 3x3x5 tent with a LEC 315. I have her in a 3 gallon pot filled with Miracle Gro Potting Mix. She is in Miracle Gro because I plan on putting her outside. I usually use Pro Mix HP for my indoor stuff. Temperatures outside haven't warmed up enough for her to go out yet. With this soil I usually don't have to feed anything until they are about halfway done flowering. Then I use the Lucas formula.

PS- Don't get mad at me for the Miracle Gro. I know it is generally frowned upon in our community but I have had real good luck with it outside. I only use it on my outdoor plants as well so I don't have to feed them very often and give up where I grow at.

That plant looks good. Personally, I'd let it go another week or so, but you can isolate one of those lower branches with a piece of cardboard (or something similar) to spray the lone branch you want to reverse. You don't have to maintain constant isolation, just do it when you spray. Once you see some actual reversal on that branch you'll want to keep a really close eye on it to catch it before it pops...but that's gonna be a good minute so no rush.

On the MG...I'm no critic. If it grows good cannabis it's fine by me. I ran hempy buckets and the lucas formula for a couple rounds a few years ago and it grew good weed.

This afternoon I decided to check on the stuff I took off the stem this morning. It has hung for 5 days already, but I want it crispy to palm-grind the seeds out of it...a few more days.

As I was fiddling with it, my wife grabbed a tiny bud smaller than a dime and rubbed it in her fingers. This is what came out...

These buds are perfect right now to jar...but they're not going into the jar

The small amount of flowers I got off this plant looks like what would normally be about 1-1.5 oz, but I weighed it and it weighed 136g...lmfao.

I'm going to take your advice and wait a week more before I start spraying the bottom branches. Using cardboard as a divider is a good idea. Congrats on the seeds too. With 136 grams you should have enough seeds to last for a while.
