Cr8grow’s Original Glue Auto Grow #5 2021

Today is Day 42, end of week 6 from sprout for the Original Glue Autos. Stretch is slowing and flowers are building, tallest plant is 19”. Now on full strength flower nutes and 2x Budswel plus continuing with organic cal-mag at 2ml/ gallon. I now see some tip burn, may dial back the flower nutes a bit. I will also swap out the 4k veg bulb and swap in the 3k flowering bulb this weekend. The one plant with some deficiency is more or less stabilized, with some signs of spotting moving upward a bit. Now adjusting PH closer to 6 than 6.5 to account for the PH climb over time. Breeder says 4 more weeks, scope will tell. Pics are from today.

They are well on their way cr8, looking good.
Did the back 2 just get watered? They are drooping fairly good. And one is praying to the sun gods, maybe it's a little light sensitive.

Dick23rk, They were all watered 5 days ago and will probably need to be watered and fed today or tomorrow when the pots lighten up a bit more. I think it’s genetics. The 3 Original Glue Autos have had the droopy leaves since early veg. The 4th plant is a Cream Mandarine XL Auto back up and has had the praying leaves this most of this grow.

Hmm. Seems odd that it has been like that since the beginning. I know that when the leaves are pointed down like that there is an issue in the root zone. They shouldn't really droop like that unless dry, wet, or the medium is too compacted and not allowing enough oxygen to the roots. Every strain is also going to be different in how it reacts to certain things compared to others. If it's still growing fine thats good, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on going forward.

Dick23rk, I water and feed sparingly in organic soil. I wait until pots are the right heft and water/feed is more frequent the bigger they get.

I did some reading and saw some consistent comments that Sativas tend to be sensitive to excess N...too much and they will claw. I saw that my last Green Crack Auto grow. Two water and flower feed cycles at lower PH and all seem very happy after. Maples are flowing and there

I agree with you. The neat part about marijuana plants is that they can almost literally talk to you in the way that they act and let you know when they’re not happy about something.

Today is Day 49, end of week 7 from sprout for the Original Glue Autos. Pots now getting light on the 6th day now, down from every 7th day. All watered and fed flower nutes, Budswel and cal-mag today. I swapped in the 3k bulb yesterday; cabinet interior now a faint pink shade vs bright white. Stretch is over, now waiting for the buds to fill and fatten. The one Glue plant with the apparent deficiency is doing fine so far. The CMXL auto back-up is a champ, with thick frosty buds already. Should be a few more weeks to chop, maybe longer for the Glue Autos. Next grow will be a photoperiod for the Weed Seeds Express Girl Scout Cookies comparative grow. Those seeds are on the way...anxious to run a photo again. Pics are from this morning, right after watering.

Yep that's the wonderful thing about these plants. Once you're familiar with them after numerous feedings, deficiencies, other issues, etc., you can really tell what they're trying to tell you. It all comes out in the leaves most times. :yummy:

Plants are still looking healthy, great job. That once cola getting massive, I want to see that one finished up.

Kind of funny I'm on the opposite side of the fence. I've been running photos for so long I'm excited to get back to trying some autos. I have a bunch on the way now, going to put a few outdoors this year since our season gets cut short by winter most years. And of course I'll have some in my room again at some point, maybe in dwc.

dick23rk, yeah, that CMXL Auto is a beast every time...massive buds 10 weeks from sprout every time. Having a few of those seeds gave me fast back ups two grows now due to some germination disappointments with new genetics. I’m hopeful the Glues will fill and fatten the next few weeks.

Sunday morning update, about mid week 8. The Original Glue Auto buds are long and thin. I’m anxious to see how they fill over the next few weeks. Nirvana says about 2.5 weeks to go until ready at 10 weeks. The Glue in the back left corner has had the spotting since early on, I think it will go the distance. The CMXL auto back up in the back corner is doing well and just started to see some purple up top. Pics pre-coffee.

Hey cr8. Still moving along over here. I see that 3 of 4 plants really don't want to lift their leaves up and are still pointing towards the root zone, there has to be something going on. When was the last time these plants were flushed? There appears to be some deficiencies gaining way as well on that one in the back left, not sure if it's a nute lockout causing this or a ph issue but something is going on. Looks like a calcium issue mixed with something else. What's the rest of the lower leaves look like on that plant? Have you tested your runoff after feeding for ph and tds for a comparison to what you're putting in?

Looking good Cr8. Those lanky sativas sure are going to look great when they bulk up, should be starting to anytime now.

My recommendation and 2 cents for what it is worth is to add a bit of calcium or garden lime of some sort. It should help out with the browning and likely help drop the ph a bit as well if it is climbing on you. I don't think I would add any to the CMXL though, she appears happy to me so far.

dick23rk, Thanks for the feedback. Yes, they are ugly. The leaves on the 3 Glues are sticking straight out below the buds, but clawed above. I have never flushed a plant....my organic feed is very low npk for both veg and flower. My plants consume N from fans late in flower. I add organic calmag every water and have well water with a fair amount of minerals. I had one plant last grow with the same yellowing spotting issue...made it through flower fine. I am pumping k now with Budswel organic guano. I’ve never tested runoff. The plants need a few more weeks so the one with issues will probably be OK. My next grow will be a comparative photo period grow here, GSC from Weed Seeds Express. I am looking forward to another photo after testing out autos this and the last 2 grows. I plan to test some soil mix comparisons and may find my own mix is not the best approach. This is my 5th grow, feeling good about many aspects, including LST, final cured quality and potency. I also realize I’m a pretty lazy and laid back grower that does better with indica dominate strains, not so much sativa forward strains.

Today is Day 56, end of week 8 from sprout for the Original Glue Autos. All watered and fed flower nutes, Budswel and cal-mag yesterday. I trimmed off some ugly leaves on the one with issues and also the spent fan leaves. The one Glue in the back right corner has really thin buds with small calyxes, not sure how much it will bulk up in the next 2-3 weeks. The CMXL auto back up front right is fading and turning purple...super frosty. Pics are from today.
