Thank you Otter it's an exciting turning point!I love topping day! Now they can go crazy branching it up!
I went ahead and thought I'd give it a try. It's wicking, now I just have to make sure it wicks at the right speed with five wicks and the covering cloth.I can't see why not! Green Rooky that I am at this.
The kid from Home Alone did just fineit's very hard to leave seedlings for any amount of time, they can be more delicate than children, there are so many imponderables what can/could happen whilst they are tiny, ive been growing since '76 & i just make sure im there for the babies that first 2-3wks if it is in any way possibe...its the only sure way ive found
Alrighty then! Good luck with her! I'm waiting for mine to become one with the SIP. 3rd day today and she/he's drooping some but I don't see anything to be concerned for.I went ahead and thought I'd give it a try. I'm very glad I did because the muck at the bottom of the perlite was septic. I don't think perlite is a good solution for organic feed.
Looks nifty! Is that contraption just sitting in water in the lower bowl?I have been chatting to other swickers and have tweaked a concept for a different set up. I find the perlite terribly messy.
Yes. The bottom cake cooler didn't fit into the basin and ended up not being necessary after all. The water is just sitting there slowly being wicked. It's going to be hard to tell how well it works for a few days I think, because the plants are too small to be using a lot of water atm. Do you have any thoughts or observations, Shed?Looks nifty! Is that contraption just sitting in water in the lower bowl?
Just that one way to test it is with a dry plant-less pot of soil to see when you get moisture up to the top.Do you have any thoughts or observations,

Thank you my friend. I am coming in to the big city tomorrow. I miss it. Gordon's Bay is "different" lol. One day I'd like to move back to city bowl but I don't know if I can afford the now famous garage in Sea Point, let alone a stand alone home in GardensHeya. Just having a cheeky catch up. It's still holidays so it's manic here. Also too windy to get some pics but as soon as I can take some focused pics I'll do an update. Your little ones are looking great. Rooting for them whoop
Thank you this work isn’t mine but i’m working on a blanket with a similar pattern so I will update it to that when i’m finished. I love to crochet and also love hybrids and I happened to be crocheting while I stumbled across 420Magazine. Do you crochet as well?Lexi I have just noticed your avatar! I love it. You must crochet?
I used to knit scarves and beanies in plain and pearl lol. I found crochet too difficult. My hands are very unsteady so holding fine work is almost impossible now. I look forward to seeing your finished product!Thank you this work isn’t mine but i’m working on a blanket with a similar pattern so I will update it to that when i’m finished.
